Background / History

Qian Renxue knew Venti for years before the Sky Curtain’s revelations. During a period in which she lived in seclusion in Godwind City, she found respite from the power struggles of the Pope Palace and the insincerity of the Heaven Dou Royal Family. Her memories of Venti’s idleness and casual kindness became deeply important to her. 9

Before publicly appearing as herself, she operated in the Heaven Dou Empire under the identity of Xue Qinghe. In a palace-garden flashback, she watches Venti sleep, admits that he hides his concern behind indifference, and kisses his cheek while he feigns sleep. 71

As the Angel God, she initially leaves Venti to join the coming war, resolving to return in triumph and confess her feelings. His casual wish for her safety disappoints her momentarily, but she interprets it as part of his free-spirited nature. 1
