Background / History

Tang San's soul originated from another world. The Sky Curtain reveals that this soul possessed Tang Hao and Ah Yin's newborn child and devoured the original infant soul, making him a transmigrator rather than their biological son's original soul 65.

He becomes the leader of the Tang Sect, an emerging faction based in Heaven Dou City. The sect is renowned as the “Ancestor of All Hidden Weapons” and includes the Shrek Seven Devils and the four affiliated clans: Speed, Strength, Defense, and Breaking 7.

The Sky Curtain later exposes his early calculations concerning Xiao Wu. From childhood, he identified her as a hundred-thousand-year soul beast in human form and intended to control her for her spirit rings and soul bones; he also manipulated circumstances surrounding her sacrifice for his own advancement 66 67.

Appearance

Tang San is depicted as a blue-clad young man with long blue hair draped over his shoulders and divine radiance around him. His appearance is associated with the contrasting blue of the Sea God and blood-red aura of Asura power 7 64.

  • Blue-gold light in his eyes after attaining level 100 soul power 8
  • Carries the Sea God Trident and manifests the Eight Spider Lances 7

Personality

Tang San is ambitious and deeply dissatisfied with being ranked below others. He resents the Tang Sect's fourth-place faction ranking, the Sea God Trident's eighth-place treasure ranking, and repeatedly questions rankings that do not confirm his view of his own superiority 7 18 23.

He presents himself as a defender of justice and believes his dual godhood will prevail over Bibi Dong and Qian Renxue. However, the Sky Curtain's revelations expose him as calculating, manipulative, and willing to exploit those close to him for power 64 66 67.

As his power and public image deteriorate, his arrogance hardens into contempt for others. He dismisses public opinion, becomes increasingly volatile under Asura influence, and ultimately descends into murderous madness 69 106 109.
