The Great Sword Samehada burst through its bandages, its barbs standing on end as it opened its cavernous maw to reveal blood-stained fangs.
Held in the grip of Suikazan Fuguki, it was swung downward in a brutal strike.
"Go to hell! I've been waiting for this chance, waiting for you to show a single opening. Your swordsmanship has indeed reached a level that looks down upon the ninja world, but in the end, you are merely a swordsman. Your heart lacks the ruthlessness of a ninja!"
A heart without ruthlessness cannot stand firm.
Suikazan Fuguki's face twisted into a look of madness, as if he could already see the next instant: Rasa's head being smashed into a pulp by his blade.
"Oh, is that so?" Rasa stared ahead, not even bothering to lift his eyes. Electromagnetic Force, activate!
The Kubikiribōchō in Biwa Juzo's hands suddenly wrenched itself free from his grip, piercing straight through Suikazan Fuguki's back from behind and erupting out through his chest.
Rasa reached out with his left hand, gripped the hilt of the Kubikiribōchō, and inspected it for a moment before praising, "So this is one of the Seven Ninja Swords, the self-restoring Kubikiribōchō? Not bad. I am quite pleased."
Suikazan Fuguki's movements came to an abrupt halt. With his internal organs shredded by the Kubikiribōchō, the Great Sword Samehada fell to the ground. After twitching twice, it was silenced by a single glare from Rasa and dared not move again.
Samehada is not truly metal; rather than a great sword, it is more accurate to call it a living creature. It was once a lackey of the Three-Tails, usually attached to the beast's belly to clean up scraps. One could say Samehada is an Altar Cleanser.
Rasa's current level of Electromagnetic Force could not directly control or influence Samehada, as it is not metal. But since it is a living thing, it can be killed.
Samehada possessed a sliver of sentience and feared Rasa like a tiger; it lay there as quiet as a frightened little brother.
Blood gushing from his chest, Suikazan Fuguki covered the wound with a large hand and turned his head with difficulty, looking at Biwa Juzo in confusion and shock.
We were brothers in name, and you stab me with your blade?
"Don't look at me like that! You're making it seem like I'm the traitor. How could I possibly attack you? But this sword—it just wouldn't listen to me!"
He was aggrieved, more aggrieved than Dou E herself. This was the first time Biwa Juzo had encountered such a bizarre event; if he couldn't explain it, he would be branded a mole for certain. Though, even if he did explain it, it wouldn't matter much—he would likely be dead in a few seconds anyway.
Kisame Hoshigaki and Ringo Ameyuri also wore subtle expressions. They had been busy suspecting others, only to realize the biggest boss among them was the true mole.
"Beside Me, there shall be no other gods of the blade. Those who defy Me, I shall surely visit their sins upon them. Those who follow Me, I shall show My mercy. Before Me, no sword shall serve another master. If it does, then I, Saint Roronoa-Himura Kenshin-Dracule Mihawk-Ashina Isshin-Shanks-Sakata Gintoki-Reinhard van Astrea-Zoro—the God of Blades, shall surely not hold it guiltless."
Wielding two long blades, Rasa glanced at the Samehada on the ground. He casually adapted a passage from the Ten Commandments of the Bible to act cool and flesh out the persona of this alias.
Invisible Electromagnetic Force enveloped Samehada. Sensing the danger, the latter obediently retracted all its barbs, pretending nothing had happened, and lay on the ground like a dead fish.
Motionless.
Seeing this, Biwa Juzo, Kisame Hoshigaki, and the others seemed to realize something, and were even more horrified.
Himura Kenshin called himself the God of Blades, and it seemed that wasn't just because of his superb swordsmanship. His words just now must have been directed at Samehada and the Kubikiribōchō.
Judging by how the Kubikiribōchō had rebelled to pierce Suikazan Fuguki and how Samehada was playing dead, Himura Kenshin must be able to command all weapons named as swords.
So this is what a God of Blades is, damn it. I understand now, boss.
The group pondered that if they were lucky enough to survive today, they would definitely suggest renaming the Seven Ninja Swords: the Kubikiribōchō would become the Guillotine, the Great Sword Samehada would become the Great Hammer Samehada...
Regaining their focus, they felt a headache coming on. A powerful enemy stood before them, striking with speed, precision, and ruthlessness—taking down one opponent with every blow.
Hand seals were impossible; there would be no opportunity for that. They could only rely on taijutsu, but since their weapons had turned against them, how were they supposed to fight?
There was no way to fight. Just wait for death.
Suikazan Fuguki refused to wait for death and attempted one final struggle, letting go of his wound and allowing the blood to spray wildly.
He squeezed every cell in his body, wringing out every drop of chakra, and laughed maniacally: "A Kage-level powerhouse, a God of Blades? I refuse to accept this evil. You call yourself the God of Blades? Let's see what swordsmanship you use to block this next move!"
Hashirama Senju taught us a principle: as long as you have enough chakra, you don't need hand seals to cast ninjutsu. Suikazan Fuguki didn't have tons of chakra, but in a desperate moment, unleashing a seal-less ninjutsu was more than enough.
His orange hair suddenly exploded outward, each strand standing on end, as hard and sharp as steel needles. They wrapped around Rasa, falling like a torrential waterfall.
"Take this, Himura Kenshin! Ninpo: Needle Senbon with a radius of 1.5 meters!"
This was a ninjutsu similar to Jiraiya's Needle Jizo. Driven by the entirety of Suikazan Fuguki's remaining chakra, its power was greatly increased. Any Jonin or Elite Jonin who faced this would have died on the spot.
"Those who live by the sword shall die by the sword. Today, I grant you the highest honor."
Coolness followed him like the wind. Rasa pointed one blade to the sky and the other to the earth, chanting softly: "Two Heavens One Style: Six Paths Five Wheels: Kurikara Heavenly Phenomenon!"
Electromagnetic Force, activate!
Electric light shimmered across two blades, one large and one small, converging behind Rasa to form a sixteen-foot-tall Thunder Buddha.
With three faces and four arms, the expressions of joy, anger, and sorrow were rendered with lifelike detail. Each hand gripped a long sword of thunder, its divine might heavy as a prison, soul-shaking and awe-inspiring.
It was a flashy display meant for show, essentially just ionized particles aggregated to create high voltage.
But then again, who doesn't love a cool-looking move?
Rasa let out a soft shout, and the Thunder Buddha behind him swung its blades down. Thunder raged, obliterating the orange hair saturated with chakra.
As the second sword descended, the high voltage slammed into Suikazan Fuguki, charring his muscle tissue, bones, internal organs, and brain to a crisp.
This was no shoddy Lightning Release like the Chidori, which could only be used for stabbing; in terms of destructive power, it was enough to rival natural lightning.
Suikazan Fuguki collapsed, dead.
Rasa looked ahead toward Biwa Juzo, who had been disarmed by a true "bare-handed blade catch." He had retreated to the end of the corridor, desperate to smash through the wall and flee.
BOOM!
BOOM!
The Thunder Buddha struck twice more, forcefully executing Biwa Juzo on the spot before dissolving back into ionized particles and vanishing.
Rasa visualized the Starry Sky Vortex in his mind. Points: 455
Points +1... +1...
They had jumped by over a hundred, presumably gained from killing so many people. The most direct consequence was that Might Duy's future battle record would be somewhat diminished.
It shouldn't be long before he could upgrade Electromagnetic Force Intensity to Lv1.
That feels just right.
