- Undocumented intermediate upgrades: The supplied passages do not show the actual Precision Lv.2 or Lv.5 breakthroughs 116 336.
Background / History
Transmigration and the Kazekage Succession
Rasa transmigrates into the young ninja who is destined to become the Fourth Kazekage. He inherits the original owner’s memories, Magnet Release, and position as the Third Kazekage’s disciple. Initially seeking a quiet life, he instead faces a leadership crisis when Chiyo and Ebizo reveal that his teacher has been missing for three days 1.
Using knowledge of the original timeline, he argues against a conspicuous village-wide search: exposing the Kazekage’s disappearance would invite an invasion while Sunagakure remains weakened from its previous war. His recommendations convince the elders that he is a stronger leadership candidate than Pakura, although Chiyo warns that his elite-jōnin strength is still insufficient for the office 2 3.
His first Precision upgrade transforms the practical scope of Magnet Release. He defeats Pakura without injuring her and demonstrates control over most metals to the elders. Sunagakure’s leadership then sends him to the Land of Artisans to investigate missing squads and commission weapons while concealing his identity 7 9 10.
Rise to Fourth Kazekage
During the Land of Artisans mission, Rasa adopts a swordsman persona whose apparent swordsmanship is largely electromagnetic control. He reveals his identity to Baki when cooperation becomes useful, and his campaign results in the deaths of Seven Ninja Swordsmen Biwa Jūzō and Suikazan Fuguki 12 14 22.
He later defeats the fully transformed Four-Tails and captures its jinchūriki, Roshi. The victory raises village morale and strengthens his claim to leadership. As acting Kazekage, he plans to trade Roshi’s fate for supplies while exploiting hostility between the Lands of Earth and Lightning 37 38 40 47.
Ebizo impersonates the missing Third Kazekage to buy preparation time. Once that deception is exposed and war begins, Rasa formally succeeds as Fourth Kazekage 96 97.
Amegakure and the Celestial Organization
Invited to a peace meeting mediated by Hanzo, Rasa survives Hanzo’s ambush and kills him without suffering an injury. He remains in Amegakure to instruct Nagato, Yahiko, and Konan 47 54 55 59.
After defeating Orochimaru, he recruits him as a core member of the Celestial Organization. Rasa also reconstructs Amegakure, introduces reforms, and teaches the trio about political interests and cooperation before returning toward Sunagakure 66 72.
His journey leads to confrontations with the Zetsu duo and the aged Madara Uchiha. Rasa dismantles their wooden giant, fights Madara’s Susanoo with his own mecha, and returns home with Madara’s corpse and Uchiha Gunbai 76 88 93.
War and the Transformation of Sunagakure
Rasa defeats Han and suppresses the Five-Tails, Kokuō. His killing of over a thousand Iwagakure ninja in less than an hour produces a widely accepted rule: human-wave tactics cannot overwhelm him 99 104 110.
He recruits Kakuzu, establishes a summoning contract with Kokuō, and kills Ōnoki. Baki receives responsibility for frontline strategy, while Kakuzu handles high-level fighting. Rasa subsequently cripples A’s arm, captures the Eight-Tails from Killer B, and kills the Third Raikage 116 117 133 157 163.
At home, he marries, retrieves and buries the Third Kazekage’s remains, and protects Chiyo and Ebizo from repercussions over Sasori. Karura’s pregnancy becomes a major family priority, although battlefield emergencies continue to interrupt his domestic life 135 144 145.
Rasa equips Sunagakure with mass-produced metal weapons and retaliates against Kirigakure’s demands for compensation. His attack on Kirigakure includes a tsunami that nearly destroys the village. He also brings women from its kekkei genkai clans to Sunagakure, strengthening the village’s future bloodline resources 146 176 184.
After completing New Sunagakure, he renames it Sunagakure City and declares independence from the Land of Wind 186.
Unification and the Six Paths Crisis
Rasa supports Kitsuchi against Konoha while privately intending to make Iwagakure’s eventual absorption easier. He brings Nagato to the battlefield, assigns him to confront Danzo, and personally intercepts Fugaku Uchiha 206 207.
Rather than merely preventing the Ten-Tails’ revival, Rasa deliberately cultivates Fugaku’s development into its jinchūriki as a route to Kaguya’s return. Meanwhile, Orochimaru becomes Fourth Hokage and Kisame becomes Fifth Mizukage, leaving most major powers under Rasa’s influence 214 216.
He convenes the major powers in Sunagakure City to confront Madara and the anticipated Ten-Tails jinchūriki. After the Allied Assembly forms, he leads its strongest fighters against Six Paths Fugaku, using his newly integrated Material Disassembly during the battle 217 219 221 222.
When negotiations with Kaguya reach an impasse, Rasa returns home for his Intensity Lv.4 breakthrough. Kaguya later becomes his wife and conceives his child. By the time of the Yama Heaven episode, the United Assembly governs the entire shinobi world and the former Kage titles are obsolete 226 230 232 325.
Expansion into Other Worlds
In the pirate world, Roke summons Rasa’s true body through a one-use Eye Soul coordinate. His manifested divinity overwhelms most nearby navy personnel and pirates until he makes its effects tolerable by modifying electrical signals 286.
Rasa studies Devil Fruits to expand his life level and abilities. His divine network eventually encompasses both the shinobi and pirate worlds, giving him control comparable to a lord of those worlds 288 305 306.
The Nasuverse’s Gaia and Alaya refuse unrestricted entry to his true body, whose power could destroy Earth in minutes. He instead obtains a legal identity through the Throne of Heroes and manifests as Matou Kariya’s Servant while concealing most of his strength 307 309.
Later, he enters the Shinigami world to investigate its dimensional structure and seek further expansion. He travels upstream through its river of time, confronts figures including Unohana and Ichibe Hyosube, and adapts his neural-control techniques to counter Ichibe’s name-erasing abilities 356 357 363 364.
Appearance
Rasa is repeatedly identified by his red hair and commanding presence; his appearance becomes exceptionally attractive as his body evolves 7 188.
- Hair: Red, described as wine-red in his Nasuverse manifestation 7 309.
- Battle attire: Form-fitting black armor, sometimes worn with the blue-and-white Kazekage hat 99 147.
- Nasuverse manifestation: Approximately 1.78 metres tall, wearing a long black trench coat with faint black mist around him 309.
- Disguises: Uses Transformation Jutsu, light manipulation, and changes of clothing or hairstyle. His Luo Runfa gambling persona requires neither Transformation Jutsu nor light manipulation 14 188.
- Divine presence: At Lv.4, his manifested divinity cannot be looked upon directly without consequences for ordinary observers 246 286.
Personality
Rasa combines a desire for leisure with relentless self-improvement. He initially wants a peaceful life and later prefers staying home for Karura’s pregnancy, but he repeatedly researches new applications of every upgrade. His ambitions eventually extend to godhood, higher forms of life, and control over multiple worlds 1 135 145 288.
His confidence grows into open arrogance. He enjoys theatrical techniques, imposing disguises, taunting opponents, and borrowing memorable lines from fiction. Despite his claims of overwhelming superiority, he actively examines early weaknesses in chakra reserves, precision, and mobility 7 188 197 207 306.
As a leader, he is pragmatic and often ruthless. He permanently weakens Roshi to secure Sunagakure’s bargaining position and uses public goodwill to prepare Iwagakure for future incorporation. He prefers allies whose interests are clear and satisfiable, such as Orochimaru, Kakuzu, and Kisame 41 175 206.
He is also protective of family and disciples. He rescues Pakura from the Four-Tails’ lava, praises Nagato for refusing to sacrifice his life force, and leaves his family behind when investigating the potentially dangerous Shinigami world 37 206 356.
Abilities & Skills
Electromagnetic Force and the Starry Sky Vortex
- Point-based growth: The Starry Sky Vortex awards points according to his impact on the world. Intensity and Precision are upgraded separately 3.
- Intuitive development: He can discover applications through ideas and experimentation even without understanding their complete scientific principles 4 216.
- Research remains necessary: Upgrades supply capabilities, but practical techniques still require testing, calculation, and refinement 135 197.
- Early limits: At Precision Lv.1, his approximate control limit is 70 kilograms within 150 metres. Increasing controlled mass sharply raises energy consumption 4 7.
- Late system evolution: At Intensity Lv.4, the Vortex expands from a galaxy-like mental image into a universe-like star map distributed throughout his body 226.
Metal and Gold Dust Manipulation
- Controls most metals rather than remaining restricted to the original Rasa’s Gold Dust specialization 4 9.
- Stops enemy weapons, returns projectiles, and accelerates metal beyond the speed of sound without hand seals 6.
- Extracts metals from the ground to construct shields, weapons, transport platforms, and restraints 6 37 146.
- At Precision Lv.3, restructures metal into seamless objects that remain intact after his electromagnetic force is withdrawn 134.
- Produces weapons with tailored hardness, toughness, and wear resistance through atomic-level metal manipulation 146.
Electromagnetic Propulsion and Close Combat
- Accelerates his armor and weapons to enhance movement, strikes, and mecha attacks 89 128.
- Defeats Han in close combat and uses propulsion-assisted punches, kicks, and Gold Dust restraints against A and Killer B 99 100 150.
- Steel Wings: Uses numerous blade-like feathers for close-range attacks. Their insufficient durability makes continued cutting ineffective against A 150.
- Early flight limitation: Riding a Gold Dust platform offers poor maneuverability, and high-speed movement can strain his body before later physical upgrades 37 131.
- Photonization: Eventually converts his body into photons and develops light-speed movement 305.
Electrical and Thermal Techniques
- Uses high-voltage currents for direct attacks, including destroying one of Kakuzu’s hearts with a slight hand movement 54 114.
- Decomposes water into oxygen and hydrogen to breathe inside Hanzo’s water sphere 54.
- Creates an electro-thermal layer that isolates him from Hanzo’s toxic mist 55.
- Develops the Smelting Furnace as an additional combat and utility technique 94 95.
- Fires railgun-like metal projectiles; his initial attack against the Third Raikage launches a suspended metal pillar at Mach 5 159.
Mecha Technique
- Builds a giant metal skeleton around himself from Gold Dust, tools, ores, and other available metal 65 66.
- Free Mode: Includes Quicksand Hell and Missile Fist, used against Orochimaru 66.
- Electromagnetic Saber: Forms a long blade carrying high-voltage current to cut apart the Zetsu duo’s wooden giant 76.
- Adapts his mecha to mimic Susanoo and uses a modified, eight-armed Asura configuration against Madara 88 89.
- Strike Freedom: Overwhelms the Third Raikage with a heavily defended mecha form 161.
- Construction limit: Early mecha consist of particles forcibly held together and have weaker physical defense; later Precision upgrades produce permanently unified structures 134.
Light Manipulation and Zetton Techniques
- Intercepts visible light before it reaches the eyes, plunging Pakura’s vision into darkness 134 135.
- Uses his Afterimage Technique to evade A and the Third Raikage 150 160.
- Zetton Ultimate Beam: Produces a steerable beam and later shapes it into a lightsaber over ten metres long 197 222.
- Zetton Barrier: Researches a magnetic-field shield that compresses air and adjusts its density to resist kinetic impacts. Its timing, upkeep, and safety require extensive experimentation 197.
Electromagnetic Sensing and Analysis
- Uses a microwave magnetic field as radar to locate opponents and guide attacks 89 159.
- Detects Fugaku’s approach from roughly forty kilometres away 207.
- Scans airborne, surface, and underground targets with detailed electromagnetic perception 206 207.
- Microscopic analysis: Examines bodily structures and molecular composition; later reconstructs Matou Zouken’s memories and personality from bioelectric activity 230 310.
Advanced Dust Release / Material Disassembly
- Reverse-engineers Orochimaru’s unfinished Dust Release and replaces its chakra-dependent dismantling process with electromagnetic force 216.
- Removes the conventional barrier and one-to-two-second setup that Rasa considers unacceptable 216 222.
- Analyzes and dismantles substances at the atomic level 221.
- Regeneration limit: An initial attempt does not finish Six Paths Fugaku because his body rapidly recovers. A later attack disintegrates more than half of him 221 222.
- Development boundary: Before integration, Lv.3 Intensity and Lv.4 Precision allow manipulation of metallic bonds, but not the other chemical bonds or the strong nuclear force 216.
Neural Control and Mental Attacks
- All-Accomplishing Wisdom Heavenly Dance Wheel: Modifies electrical signals to make his divine presence bearable to surrounding people 286.
- Phoenix Phantom Demon Fist / Phantom Demon Emperor Fist: Manipulates an opponent’s neural electrical signals, allowing him to control Ichibe and force self-inflicted injury 363.
- Develops renamed variants by changing details when Ichibe erases a technique’s name 363.
- Later attacks without announcing a name, preventing Ichibe from identifying and sealing that particular move 364.
- Uses mental screams, psychic force, and direct neural attacks alongside electromagnetic manipulation 364.
- Resists Fugaku’s repeated Mangekyō genjutsu attempts, although his own conventional genjutsu expertise remains comparatively limited 171 207.
Evolved Physiology and Regeneration
- At Intensity Lv.3, generates energy from environmental elements and no longer needs food 166.
- At Intensity Lv.4, gains overlapping organ functions, vastly improved processing, and cells with limited independent thinking ability 226.
- Can preserve consciousness in a surviving fragment—even a toe—and regenerate the rest of his body using environmental energy 226.
- Later treats his physical body as a replaceable shell for his will, immediately repairing wounds caused by Unohana and Ichibe 357 364.
- Can replace his body’s composition with highly compressed reishi; replacing every particle with compressed neutrons remains beyond his demonstrated capability 357.
Incarnations, Clones, and Cross-World Travel
- Shadow clones: Can use electromagnetic force, but normally possess only about 30% of his overall strength. A clone can emphasize one ability at roughly 60–70% while retaining only a few weaker alternatives 192.
- Incarnations: Roke operates in the pirate world, while ACE Ultraman can be repeatedly supplied with renewed bodies 286 306.
- Divine network: Extends his control across the shinobi and pirate worlds 306.
- World access: Uses the Throne of Heroes to obtain a permissible Nasuverse identity and later crosses the Shinigami world’s barrier and river of time 309 356.
- Restriction: Gaia and Alaya reject unrestricted entry by his true body because of its destructive potential 307.
Zanpakutō and Kidō
- Uses Sakanade’s Shikai to invert the battlefield and confuse Sasori’s sense of direction 142.
- Counters Sasori’s Iron Sand with Kidō and defeats him using Raikuhō 142.

“Any power that can rely on its own internal strength to withstand a rampaging tailed beast can tentatively be defined as a major power.” 217
Trivia
- His apparent “Sword God” skill initially depends on controlling weapons electromagnetically rather than possessing the extraordinary swordsmanship his opponents imagine 10 12.
- He names techniques after fictional weapons and characters, including the Zetton Ultimate Beam, and borrows boastful lines from Perfect World’s Anlan 197 306.
- His interest in close combat comes from enjoying Saint Seiya and Dragon Ball, despite his ability set naturally favoring ranged attacks 150.
- He tests repeated point-farming through alternate worldlines and concludes that simply starting another run in the same world does not work 336.
