Grand Unity Dao Fruit, Heavenly Origin and Intercepting Sects' Dispute

Kunlun Mountain, as the ancestral vein of all mountains, was extremely rich in innate essence. The pure essence rose and the turbid essence descended, capable of manifesting infinite phenomena. Within its spiritual energy lay a trace of the essence of Ancestral Qi.

Xuan Qing sat cross-legged on a futon in his cave dwelling, circulating the Supreme Clarity Heart Method with one hand while simultaneously employing the Jade Clarity Divine Ability with the other, using the Void Seal to capture the innate Ancestral Qi from heaven and earth.

Subsequently, he utilized the Inner Elixir Method of the Grand Pure lineage, refining both internally and externally, merging his Primordial Spirit with the heart of heaven and his physical body with the Ancestral Qi, treating himself as a grand elixir to be refined.

This was his unique path!

At this moment, within his Primordial Spirit, eight Dao Seeds slowly floated and sank – three innate and five acquired, perfectly corresponding to the Three Flowers and Five Qi cultivated by practitioners. They were arranged in the pattern of the Three Talents and Five Elements, shining brilliantly and intertwining continuously, eventually transforming into eight Dao Scripts, imprinted upon his Golden Immortal Dao Fruit.

The three innate Dao Seeds were "Wind," "Thunder," and "Fire." Among them, the "Wind" and "Thunder" seeds originated from the Wind Thunder Immortal Apricot, while the "Fire" seed was obtained after he transmigrated and sparked a fire by drilling wood, reflecting the heart of heaven. The Heavenly Dao, sensing this, bestowed it. Originally, it was merely an acquired Dao Seed, but he shamelessly pestered the Grand Pure One Laozi for a wisp of the "Sky Burning Violet Fire" origin, thereby perfecting and elevating it into an innate Dao Seed.

The "Sky Burning Violet Fire" originated from the flame of the "Eight Sceneries Palace Lantern," belonging to the innate category. It possessed the power to burn the heavens and boil the seas, and more importantly, the ability to refine the myriad paths of the void.

As for the five acquired Dao Seeds, they were "Elixir," "Artifact," "Sword," "Formation," and "Talisman," all of which he had comprehended from the Three Pure Ones' methods through listening to the Saints' Great Dao day and night.

The Elixir Dao originated from the Grand Pure One Laozi, the Artifact Dao from the Primordial Lord of Heaven, the Sword Dao and Formation Dao from the Sect Master Tongtian, and the Talisman Dao was a fusion of the three.

Despite being acquired Dao Seeds, these held infinite potential. If Xuan Qing were to prove his Dao as a Grand Unity, he could naturally elevate them to the innate level.

The Three Pure Ones served as benchmarks.

The Sect Master Tongtian reflected the heart of heaven with the Sword Dao, inscribing it upon the origin of the Heavenly Dao. The Sword Dao became an innate Great Dao, capable of boundless power with a mere raise of his hand.

The other four paths were similar; the potential of acquired Great Daos was no less than that of innate ones.

What Xuan Qing was doing at this moment was to integrate these Great Daos, manifest an innate Ancestral Qi within his body, push his Golden Immortal Dao Fruit to its extreme sublimation, manifest infinite phenomena, and transform into a Grand Unity Golden Immortal Dao Fruit.

A true teaching is worth a thousand scrolls of false teachings. The core of the Grand Unity realm was to transform myriad things into one, using innate Ancestral Qi to manifest the nascent forms of various Great Daos, constructing myriad phenomena, and finally, within infinite space and time, condensing the true self and uniqueness, preparing for the ultimate leap to prove the Dao as a Grand Unity and traverse through time.

The foundation, naturally, had to be as solid as possible.

The cultivation of the Grand Unity realm, on the other hand, was the exact opposite, following the path of transforming one into myriad. When one could no longer advance, they could only resort to severing the three corpses to align themselves with the Heavenly Dao, thus achieving another extreme sublimation.

Xuan Qing's Dao Fruit vibrated, emitting brilliant light under the radiance of the Auspicious Cloud, connecting with the Great Daos of heaven and earth: "When herbs encounter qi and form, and the Dao aligns with emptiness, nature follows. Swallowing a single Golden Elixir, one realizes their fate is not dictated by heaven!"

The eight Dao Seeds instantly transformed into eight Dao patterns, imprinted upon the Dao Fruit, three deep and five shallow, subtly harmonizing with the Three Talents and Five Elements, and manifesting a ninth Dao pattern – "Refine"!

This Dao pattern seemed innate, yet also acquired, having been extracted from the eight Dao Seeds. Xuan Qing intended to focus on it for his future cultivation.

"Rumble!"

Myriad thunderclaps exploded, streams of primal energy descended, and endless immortal light intertwined. Ripples appeared in the void, and a phantom Dao Fruit continuously floated and sank within the Auspicious Cloud above Xuan Qing's head.

He took a step forward, emerging from his cave dwelling, preparing to face the Heavenly Tribulation for his advancement to the Grand Unity realm. Ominous clouds gathered in the sky, and countless lightning snakes danced wildly in the void.

For others, this tribulation might just be a disaster, but he cultivated the Great Dao of Thunder, and could use this lightning tribulation to strengthen his own Thunder Dao Seed!

This was a heaven-sent opportunity!

The Sect Master Tongtian sensed something and looked in the direction of Xuan Qing's tribulation, a smile appearing on his face: "In just over a thousand years, he has grasped the Dao of Grand Unity! Excellent, excellent!"

Also on Kunlun Mountain, the Grand Pure One Laozi and the Primordial Lord of Heaven sensed it as well. However, after a brief probe, they paid it no further attention!

After all, he was a direct disciple of a Saint. A Heavenly Tribulation for advancing to Grand Unity was as simple as eating and drinking.

As if to confirm the Saints' thoughts, in just a quarter of an hour, Xuan Qing successfully passed the Heavenly Tribulation, his physical body and Primordial Spirit both entering the Grand Unity realm.

His Grand Unity Dao Fruit shone even brighter, resonating with the myriad paths of the void, and under the radiance of the Auspicious Cloud, it appeared like a great sun rising from the clouds.

Following this, Xuan Qing returned to his cave dwelling to consolidate his Dao Fruit and sort through his knowledge. It took him a full century before he emerged from his cave dwelling to visit his fellow disciples.

In these years, the Sect Master Tongtian had accepted many more disciples. Not a single one had profound origins or good fortune; instead, their ability to stir up trouble was unmatched.

Daoist Duobao was deeply troubled.

As the senior disciple of the Intercepting Sect, he was responsible for managing the newly accepted disciples, but he was devoted to his cultivation and truly did not wish to expend energy and effort on these matters.

Therefore, he delegated these tasks to Zhao Gongming, appointing him as the Senior Disciple of the Outer Sect, only occasionally inquiring about the disciples' situations.

However, Zhao Gongming, while not lacking in cultivation talent and possessing a realm sufficient to suppress many disciples, was too honest and was often deceived by some of the disciples.

He was truly not a suitable candidate!

And so it was!

Just a few days after Xuan Qing emerged from seclusion, he heard that several outer sect disciples had eaten the spirit beasts raised by the Heavenly Origin Sect's True Man Taiyi, and were subsequently severely injured by him.

This matter was neither big nor small. But Zhao Gongming, being extremely loyal, believed that even if those outer sect disciples of the Intercepting Sect were at fault first, True Man Taiyi should not have used such heavy force. He went to reason with him.

True Man Taiyi, on the other hand, was also full of anger. Someone ate his spirit beasts, and he disciplined them – was he in the wrong?

In the end, it escalated into a conflict between disciples of the Heavenly Origin Sect and the Intercepting Sect. True Man Taiyi sought out Daoist Nanji for assistance, while Zhao Gongming invited Daoist Duobao to mediate.

As the senior disciple of the Heavenly Origin Sect, Nanji, and the senior disciple of the Intercepting Sect, Duobao, neither was willing to back down. If they conceded even a step, how could they establish their authority among their fellow disciples in the future? This eventually led to the matter reaching the Saints. The Primordial Lord of Heaven, in his capacity as an elder brother, chided the Sect Master Tongtian a couple of times.

The Sect Master Tongtian, however, had a stubborn temper. If you spoke to him politely, he might give you face, but if you tried to boss him around using your elder brother status, he wouldn't give you any.

"So, this is why Teacher and Second Martial Uncle are arguing?" Xuan Qing looked at Golden Spirit Holy Mother, sighed lightly, and shook his head helplessly. "I should go and persuade them! There's really no need for it to escalate to this point!"

He only learned of this matter after Golden Spirit Holy Mother told him. He hadn't expected such a trivial matter to trigger a conflict between two Saints!

A thousand-mile dike can be breached by an ant's nest. He knew that if some problems were not addressed promptly, the conflict would only grow, eventually even evolving into hatred.

Although the Sect Master Tongtian and the Primordial Lord of Heaven had different philosophies, they originated from the same source. It was truly a pity to fall out over such a small matter.

If the Three Pure Ones did not split, how could there be the Investiture of the Gods calamity, how could the West prosper, and how could the Four Saints break the Immortal Slaying Formation?

After all...

As long as that Dao Ancestor did not appear, the three Saints were sufficient to determine the great trend of heaven and earth.

With this thought, Xuan Qing did not hesitate and immediately headed to the Supreme Clarity Hall to request an audience with the Sect Master Tongtian.
