The next day, early morning.
Isaac slept early and soundly last night, so he rose early today as well.
His breakfast, like his dinner, was delivered to his door by Krieg.
Once he finished his breakfast, Krieg brought him a message from Dumbledore.
Following Krieg's directions, Isaac headed toward the Headmaster's office.
Isaac stopped when he saw a gargantuan, hideous stone gargoyle.
He spoke the password Krieg had given him, and the gargoyle suddenly sprang to life, hopping aside as the wall behind it split in two.
Behind the wall was a spiral stone staircase, moving slowly upward like an escalator.
Isaac stepped onto the stairs, and the door closed behind him, carrying them upward in circles.
Reaching the top, Isaac stepped off the stairs and knocked on a pair of oak doors; they swung open silently, and he walked inside.
Dumbledore's office was a spacious, beautiful circular room filled with all sorts of funny little noises.
On spindly-legged tables sat many strange and curious silver instruments, spinning and puffing out little clouds of smoke.
The walls were covered in portraits of past headmasters and headmistresses, all snoring softly in their respective frames.
There was also a massive desk in the room with claw-shaped feet.
On a shelf behind the desk sat the Sorting Hat.
Isaac quickly shifted his gaze from the Sorting Hat to the phoenix perched on a golden stand behind the door.
This was the "companion" pet of the Dumbledore family; when members of the Dumbledore family encountered danger, they would receive the phoenix's aid.
How should he put it? Fawkes's appearance was certainly not what Isaac had expected.
Then again, strictly speaking, this thing was supposed to be a Western phoenix, not at all the same creature as the phoenix in Isaac's mind.
Finally, Isaac looked at the two people in the office.
One was Dumbledore, and the other was the Ministry of Magic Auror he had met yesterday, Gawain Robards.
"Good morning, Professor Dumbledore and Mr. Robards."
Gawain nodded at Isaac with a smile, and then Dumbledore spoke: "Isaac, Gawain has brought the results of the Ministry of Magic's interrogation and the sentencing of that Death Eater."
"Mr. Robards? So, the person who attacked me last night was really... a Death Eater?"
Isaac asked Gawain "curiously."
"Yes, Isaac." Gawain nodded, yet said with a straight face, "But don't worry, the Ministry of Magic has been purging the Death Eaters, and there haven't been many left in recent years. Perhaps the one you subdued was the very last one?"
The last Death Eater? Isaac felt that this Gawain Robards was quite the joker.
He was truly trying to fool him like a child, even though he was indeed a child right now.
The Death Eaters who had followed Voldemort back then—the most active ones were all in Azkaban.
The secondary tier, who were still core Death Eaters, were all the heads of various pure-blood families.
And he called it the last Death Eater... Damn it, if Voldemort were to raise his arms and call, all these people would be coerced into serving Tom.
"So why would that Death Eater target me?" Isaac asked curiously.
At the mention of this, Gawain's expression turned peculiar: "Actually, it has to do with Professor Dumbledore."
As Gawain said this, he looked at Dumbledore, then turned to look at Isaac.
He looked at Dumbledore, then looked at Isaac again.
After doing this a few times, a clear look of confusion appeared in his eyes.
This little wizard didn't look like Dumbledore at all, so why was Dumbledore so concerned about him?
It turned out that the Death Eater was quite lucky.
Because his own strength was lacking, he hadn't managed to reach the core ranks of the Death Eaters.
However, relying on his ruthless and unscrupulous nature, he had been granted the incantations for the Unforgivable Curses.
After Voldemort fell, he went into hiding to study the Unforgivable Curses in secret.
This study ended up messing with his brain.
Later, Dumbledore brought Isaac to Diagon Alley and stated that he would cover Isaac's bill.
This made the merchants in Diagon Alley curious about Isaac's identity.
For a time, there was endless speculation, with all sorts of rumors flying around.
That Death Eater had been misled by the various guesses and intended to do something "big" as a Death Eater.
For instance, kidnapping the "son of Dumbledore."
And so, this Death Eater, whose brain had been fried by Dark Magic, was subdued by Isaac.
Incidentally, the Auror Office also cracked quite a few "cold cases" involving Dark Magic.
How could this Death Eater be so wicked!
"In any case, Isaac, get ready—you're about to become famous! Oh, and in a while, Minister Fudge will likely invite you to visit the Ministry of Magic.
The Ministry has prepared a surprise for you~"
Gladwin winked at Isaac as he finished speaking, and Isaac put on a perfectly timed expression of anticipation.
Finally, after exchanging a few pleasantries with Dumbledore, Gladwin hurried out of the Headmaster's office.
According to him, the charges against this Death Eater could be dug into even further.
Who knows, there might be other crimes they hadn't discovered yet just waiting for him to confess.
Once Gladwin had departed through the Headmaster's office fireplace, Isaac finally relaxed his tense face.
Rubbing his cheeks, Isaac complained to Dumbledore, "Professor, you don't actually believe the Ministry's explanation, do you?
Even if that Death Eater's brain was fried, it couldn't possibly have reached that extent, could it?"
Dumbledore's half-moon spectacles reflected two flashes of white light.
"In truth, even if Fudge were to uncover something during the interrogation, he would suppress it."
Isaac was the second seer Dumbledore had ever known, and he understood the nature of seers all too well.
Therefore, he never treated Isaac like an ordinary child.
And indeed, Isaac's behavior was nothing like that of an ordinary child.
"So, it really is Voldemort? He isn't content with playing dead and actually dares to jump out now?"
Isaac was puzzled; he truly didn't understand.
At a time like this, why wasn't Voldemort busy figuring out how to use the Sorcerer's Stone to resurrect himself, instead of finding someone to target a little wizard like him?
Just because Dumbledore was willing to foot the bill for him?
Damn it, Dumbledore was even willing to foot the bill for Grindelwald, so why didn't he go to Nurmengard now?
Is it because as long as Dumbledore is alive, Tom doesn't dare to go?
Damn it, isn't this just bullying an honest man?
Since Senior Tom was being so impolite, Isaac naturally wouldn't be polite to Senior Tom either.
He immediately suggested to Dumbledore, "Professor, how about we form a team and go invite Senior Tom over?
You can ask him yourself why he wants to capture me?"
Dumbledore: ???
The amount of information contained in Isaac's words was simply explosive.
To speak like this meant that information about Voldemort, who had been hiding for eleven years, was held by an eleven-year-old wizard.
And this little wizard was even inviting the only person Voldemort feared to go on a speed-run of the "Dark Lord's Remnant Soul" dungeon.
Isaac's prophecies... why did they feel even more reliable than Gellert's?
In that instant, Dumbledore even wondered if Grindelwald had been lying to him under the covers all those years ago.
