The three of them arrived at the Third Hokage's hospital room.
When they opened the door, the Third Hokage looked up. The moment he saw Tsunade, he froze.
It had been several years since they'd last seen each other.
The Third Hokage paused, then smiled warmly. "You haven't changed at all."
Tsunade's appearance had hardly changed in decades.
Looking at the frail Third Hokage, Tsunade said with a complicated expression, "You, on the other hand, have aged quite a bit."
The Third Hokage smiled. "I am nearly seventy, after all."
Then he turned to Yeyu, who had gone over to sit by the sofa. "It looks like you two get along well."
Tsunade glanced at Yeyu and said coolly, "If you mean he's good at getting on my nerves, then yes."
"Third Hokage, apart from his strength, your chosen successor isn't all that satisfactory in other respects."
"His strength is enough. And don't say things just to provoke him. He's quite outstanding in other respects, too," the Third Hokage said seriously.
Tsunade walked over. "Have you really decided to make him the Fifth Hokage?"
The Third Hokage looked at Yeyu, who was eating an orange. "There's no one else to choose."
Yeyu had heard this plenty of times already.
He was completely numb to it by now and didn't feel embarrassed at all.
Tsunade looked at Yeyu too. His expression was calm and utterly unruffled.
She sighed. "That's true."
Tsunade did agree with the Third Hokage.
Actually, besides Yeyu, there were others in Konoha who were suitable: her, Jiraiya, and Kakashi.
But with Yeyu in the picture, the others weren't really options.
There really was only one choice left.
Tsunade regained her composure and said, "Let me check your injuries. They're soul-related, right? You actually survived after using the Dead
