Background / History

Yeyu is a transmigrator who initially appeared to be an unremarkable Ninja Academy student. He passed the graduation Clone Technique test, but his grades and talent were considered average; classmates paid little attention to him despite his appearance being regarded as second only to Sasuke’s. 1 306

On the day of his graduation, Yeyu was drawn into a mental space and met Akainu. Akainu transferred his accumulated strength, combat experience, Haki, Devil Fruit ability, and spiritual power into Yeyu, whose body continuously broke down and regenerated to accommodate the inheritance. The process amplified his physical ability and chakra reserves beyond anything he possessed as a student. 1

The Third Hokage quickly recognized Yeyu’s potential after testing his taijutsu. Rather than assigning him ordinary Genin duties, Hiruzen promoted him directly to Chunin, placed him in the Hokage Office, and began preparing him as a possible successor. 6 13 14

Although Yeyu originally attributed his growth to Akainu’s inheritance, his power continued escalating far beyond Akainu’s known limits. He later concluded that the inheritance may have merely triggered a deeper, previously sealed source of power within himself. 222 306
