But Selina was not a house cat after all. The wildness in her bones could not be restrained. Getting her to stay obediently at home was no easier than making Gotham's criminals collectively turn over a new leaf.
During the day, she curled up inside to avoid the underworld's watchful eyes. Once the dead of night arrived, she would silently slip out, darting all over the city and always bringing back something valuable.
Du Mu thought Selina should not be called Catwoman. She ought to be called Traveling Kitty.
Having scraped out a living on Gotham's streets since childhood, Selina understood the rules of survival and knew how to split the loot... and pay tribute. Every time, she would voluntarily hand over part of her spoils to Du Mu.
Seeing how sensible she was, Du Mu followed Nick Fury's example and turned a blind eye, letting her do as she pleased.

When he returned to the Gotham Police Department, officers nodded to him all the way from the entrance to the corridors, their eyes filled with admiration and respect. Du Mu was now a major name in the department, and his reputation even overshadowed Commissioner Gordon's.
For a single police officer to strike fear into every gang—that kind of deterrence was something even Gordon, the commissioner, could not achieve.
Though Gordon was a king of one-on-one fights, the limitations of that buff were simply too great. The moment he faced more than one enemy, his combat ability plummeted. So when
