Background / History
Su Hao was originally a Xingyi Fist grandmaster from Blue Star. An orphan for much of his former life, he was taken in by an old Taoist master and devoted decades to martial arts. He reached Transformation Force, but his reputation and enemies eventually led to an ambush by firearm-armed martial artists; he killed his attackers but succumbed to his wounds. 1
He awakened in the body of a fourteen- or fifteen-year-old Su Hao of Su Family Fort in the Great Gan Dynasty. The body’s original owner had trained in Heavy Mountain Fist since childhood under his father, Su Yu, but had accumulated serious hidden injuries after Su Yu disappeared and medicinal support stopped. 1
After narrowly surviving an ambush in Woniu Mountain, Su Hao resolved to protect Sun Lan and Su Xiaoqing, uncover Su Yu’s fate, and rebuild his martial strength. He discovered that the mysterious Mortal-Shedding Bead he had encountered before his death had accompanied his transmigration. 1 2
Personality
Su Hao is calm and calculating under pressure. Rather than accepting the Martial Academy quota as an unquestioned opportunity, he exchanged it for five hundred taels of silver, judging immediate cultivation resources and his family’s needs to be more valuable than entering the academy before he was ready. 3 4
His primary loyalty is to his family. He accepts Su Hu’s challenge partly because the repeated disturbances frighten Su Xiaoqing, investigates Black Swamp Mountain because of Su Yu, and withholds uncertain news of his father from Sun Lan to avoid giving her false hope. 6 14
He is also ruthless toward confirmed enemies. Having died because he allowed enemies and grudges to accumulate in his previous life, he resolves not to repeat that mistake and executes the Flying Cloud Gang members after extracting information from them. 9 14
Abilities & Skills
Five Animals Breathing Technique
A breathing and body-conditioning method retained from his previous life.
- Manipulates blood and qi to purge hidden injuries, regulate internal organs, restore stamina, and accelerate recovery. 1
- Combined with Eight Treasures Health Soup and Tiger-Leopard Thunder Sound to repair his body’s damaged foundation. 4
- Requires substantial nutrition and medicinal resources; rapid training leaves him depleted when his food and medicine run short. 9
Internal Observation
Su Hao retains the mental realm and self-awareness of a grandmaster despite inhabiting a younger body.
- Can examine muscles, skin, joints, tendons, injuries, and internal force within his own body. 1 15
- Uses it to diagnose hidden injuries, guide meridian clearing, and merge the five animal forces. 1 15
- Possesses exceptional perception, allowing him to notice a disguised observer watching him in Su Family Fort. 15
Five Animals Fist
His principal martial art, composed of five complementary forms that generate distinct internal forces.
- Tiger Form Fist / Tiger Gallant Force — Fierce, unstoppable power suited to breaking stone and bones; it crippled Zhang Wenxuan in a head-on clash. 5 12
- Crane Form Fist / Crane Cry Force — Light, fast, sharp force specialized in short-range explosive penetration; it pierced the obese Flying Cloud Gang martial artist’s defenses. 6 12
- Ape Form Fist / Ape Spirit Force — Flexible, unpredictable long-range striking; his arms move like whips while his fists strike like hammers, blending feints with real attacks. 8 13
- Bear Form Fist / Bear-Grizzly Force — Heavy, stable force that can create a thousand-pound-drop effect and increase the weight behind his strikes. 15
- Deer Form Fist / Deer Creek Force — Soft, agile footwork and force application focused on shifting, deflecting, borrowing, and dissipating force. 15
Heavy Mountain Fist
The Su family martial art Su Hao learned from Su Yu beginning at age five.
- Uses heavy, mountain-like strikes to mobilize blood and qi. 1 7
- Su Hao’s mastery of stance training lets him match Blood Energy practitioners despite relying on internal force rather than genuine Blood Force. 7
- He used the style to test Su Hu’s Blood Energy before defeating him with Crane Cry Force. 7
Equipment / Weapons / Items
- Mortal-Shedding Bead — A crystal-clear bead found in a ruined mountain temple during his former life; it resides in his sea of consciousness and is believed to be responsible for his transmigration. Its function requires accumulated energy. 2
- Eight Treasures Health Soup — A medicinal prescription from Su Hao’s old Taoist master, used to heal hidden injuries, replenish blood and qi, and support physical growth. 4
- Blood Ginseng — Rare ginseng harvested from Black Swamp Mountain, originally discovered by Su Yu. 9 10
- Blood Ginseng Wine — Medicinal wine made from the Blood Ginseng; it supported his completion of the Bear and Deer forms. 14 15
Relationships
- Sun Lan — Mother. Su Hao reassures and protects her, while concealing uncertain information about Su Yu’s survival to spare her further distress. 1 14
- Su Xiaoqing — Younger sister. Her fear of Su Hu’s repeated provocations prompts Su Hao to accept the challenge; he also shares Blood Ginseng Wine with her. 6 14
- Su Yu — Missing father and former martial arts teacher. Su Hao seeks the truth behind Su Yu’s conflict with the Flying Cloud Gang and disappearance in Black Swamp Mountain. 1 13 14
- Su Yun — Clan head of the Su family. He offers the family protection, helps procure medicinal herbs, and later intends to secure another Martial Academy quota for Su Hao. 2 4 8
- Su Lie — Su family elder and Su Yue’s father. He purchases Su Hao’s Martial Academy quota for five hundred taels, later acknowledges Su Hao’s talent, and supports Su Yun’s refusal to hand Su Hao over to the Flying Cloud Gang. 3 8 15
- Su Hu — Rival from Su Family Fort. He challenges Su Hao for the Martial Academy quota but is decisively defeated and accepts the result. 6 8
