Background / History

Wu Xiaodong was originally one of Xue Yue's foremost students alongside his younger sister, Wu Xiao'ai. By age eight, he had already reached level 20, and the siblings were considered the academy's most outstanding core students before Wang Sheng's arrival. 14 17

He and Wu Xiao'ai were ambushed, wounded, and left unconscious during the conflict surrounding Wind City's political factions. Though neither suffered a lethal injury, Wu Xiaodong spent half a month bedridden and vowed to settle the score when he learned who was responsible. 23

During Ji Bing's temporary tenure as Class One's instructor, Wu Xiaodong made insensitive remarks concerning Ji Bing and Xue Yue. Ji Bing assigned him doubled physical training, specifically because endurance was essential to a defense-type soul master; Wang Sheng, Charm Fox, and Wu Xiao'ai were later included in the special training as well. 27 28

He represented Class One against Tao Ping, an agility-type Soul Grand Master. After initially allowing himself to be pressured, Wu Xiaodong deliberately exposed an opening, then used Shield Bash to defeat Tao Ping with a counterattack and follow-up charge. 28 29
