Lu Zhen survived the Gu Family’s bait ship ambush, reached Bright Force, and killed the men sent after him. Seeking stronger techniques and resources, he joined the Garrison Bureau with Gu Yanzhi and prepared to lead Class A-6 on a dangerous mission.

• Zhao Si’s steamship drew attacks from the Shen Family and the Black Dragon Water Bandits, and Lu Zhen fought off the attackers before Gu Yanzhi arrived and helped kill the young chief.
• After learning that Gu Wanshan had used the ship as bait, Lu Zhen accepted Gu Yanzhi’s treasure medicines and advanced his training toward Bright Force.
• Lu Zhen broke through to Bright Force, killed the assassins Duan Hu sent after him, then infiltrated Duan Hu’s stronghold and killed him.
• Lu Zhen moved Shen Yun and Lu Wan to a safer home, while Zhang Lei broke through to the Seven-Sound Limit Break and became the Iron Arm Martial Arts Hall’s eldest disciple.

Lu Zhen rose through the Garrison Bureau, gained Xiao Yuqing’s support, and learned the River-Severing Blade Art while suspicion and political tensions grew around him. The arc ended as Xiao Yuqing led five stations toward Lin Family Fortress, where Lin Fu prepared to defend the pass and an underground demon beast was examined beside the Lin Family’s old ancestor.

• Lu Zhen joined the wilderness mission, killed a pack of mutated gray wolves, and later slew an Iron-Armored Earth-Walking Dragon, but Uncle Old Pockmark died protecting him.
• Lu Zhen brought back the beasts and Crimson Blood Golden Lotus, gained military merit and strength, and learned that Duan Hai had hired Yaksha to assassinate him.
• Lu Zhen killed the Yaksha assassin sent against him, refused Huo Tianxiao’s offer to join the Huo Family, and helped secure protection for Li Changgeng in prison.
• Lu Zhen discovered Gu Yanzhi might be linked to the Iron-Blooded National Salvation Society, then met the new bureau chief, Xiao Yuqing, who recognized him as her former classmate.
• Xiao Yuqing tested Lu Zhen and gave him the River-Severing Blade Art, while Lu Zhen concealed the full extent of his cultivation.

After defeating Yagyu Setsusai and evading Black Sun Corporation’s watchers, he entered the Yaksha as Faceless and challenged the Nether Three Swords for a gold-medal assassin rank.

• Lu Zhen killed the Lin Family Ancestor beneath the fortress, took his Spirit-Refining Art, and mastered its first three levels before earning Xiao Yuqing’s praise and a promotion to squad leader.
• Lu Zhen exchanged merits for spiritual and body-refining treasures, strengthened his abilities, and defeated Zhao Chongguang at the Spring Grand Review.
