"Is that... Uruk over there?"
Though they were still far away, Fujimaru Ritsuka could already see the enormous, awe-inspiring city-state nestled amid a ring of low trees, leaving him momentarily speechless.
In truth, judging purely by its scale and appearance, Uruk was no more magnificent than Camelot, the Holy City of Britain he had once glimpsed in the Middle Eastern Singularity, but—
For some reason, as he looked at this city-state, Fujimaru Ritsuka felt that it was more steadfast than Camelot.
Perhaps it was only an illusion.
Yet this ancient city-state from two thousand years before Christ, forty-six hundred years before his own era, truly radiated a sense of glorious grandeur and unshakable resolve, something weathered by the passage of time yet beyond the reach of other ages.
"Hehe, Gilgamesh is quite irritating, but his city truly can be called the brightest jewel in this land." Nanshe smiled as she looked at the distant city-state.
Even the gods had to acknowledge that, despite having now been cast out.
"Let's go, Ritsuka." Lawrence smiled.
He knew that if this place in this era had become a Singularity, then... someone would one thousand percent be summoned as a Servant.
And that person would definitely be in Uruk. There was no possibility of them being anywhere else.
"Ah, y-yeah, okay."
Nanshe glanced sideways at the Servants.
Earlier, when she had brought them down to the ground, they had been attacked by a group of Uridimmu. She had not chosen to intervene at the time, instead deciding to observe their combat abilities.
The female Servant in the strange long dress could be set aside for now; Caster-class Servants were not known for their combat prowess to begin with. But the Lancer named Liao Ye and the Shielder Demi-Servant named Mash were both exceptionally capable.
