"Sorcerer"
Sakumura's memories of Shimosa were anything but pleasant.
Shimosa had refuted the "patriots" of the various domains. All he could say was that Sakumura never wanted to witness something like that a second time.
But clearly, this was not the Shimosa Sakumura had once known.
"Does this count as using such a method to arrive in a world of the past?"
A faintly mocking smile appeared at the corner of Sakumura's lips.
"It doesn't matter. Here, all I need to know is what kind of existence I must cut down as Saber, as a swordsman."
"Our so-called 'journeys' really do feel strange, don't they? Like they're full of those so-called 'wild ideas' and things like that?"
Shinmen Musashi rubbed her chin with a smile on her face. Reuniting with Fujimaru Ritsuka clearly seemed to have made her very happy.
"That's true, isn't it?"
Fujimaru Ritsuka, who had nearly forgotten why he had ended up in this inexplicable frozen wasteland in the first place, nodded in wholehearted agreement.
"Well, that's why I feel this inexplicable sense of closeness with you—we finally have something in common to talk about!"
"So—let me help you."
Musashi patted her chest, then took Fujimaru Ritsuka's hand.
"So you can wake up safely from this dream."
It was clear that Musashi had already grown accustomed to partings, and what she cared about most was Fujimaru Ritsuka's safety.
After all, life was a continual series of meetings and reunions. The prerequisite for seeing each other again next time was that Fujimaru Ritsuka had to stay alive, wasn't it?
She also seemed to understand something about Fujimaru Ritsuka's current situation.
From Fujimaru Ritsuka's perspective, it seemed to be nothing more than an extraordinarily realistic dream. But since everything experienced within that dream was real, then so was "death."
