Watching the two large and one small crabs slowly depart, Ye Luo felt a growing sense of goodwill toward the Stone Crab Clan.
"My Emperor, they are merely a sea race of ten thousand; wiping them out would be no trouble at all!" Ye Meng said cruelly.
Ye Luo smiled and shook his head. "True, wiping them out would not take much effort, but why bother? We have already obtained what we wanted, and on top of that, we have gained a friendship..."
"But the mighty Zerg do not need friendship..." Ye Meng muttered, unable to comprehend.
Ye Luo's expression turned stern. "Ye Yi, Ye Feng, do you share Ye Meng's mindset?"
Both nodded simultaneously.
"Yes, the Zerg were once at the pinnacle of the countless civilizations in the universe, but why is it 'once'? Because they were destroyed. And why were they destroyed? Look at the Mechanical Race and the Thal God Race; neither race alone could match our strength. Yet, why did we fail? The reason is that we were too powerful—so powerful that we refused to ally with any other race! We resorted only to slaughter, becoming the common enemy of all life, and so, we fell! Starting today, we learn from the lessons of the previous cycle. The universe is too vast—so vast that even at the height of the Zerg, the regions we explored were but a drop in the ocean. So, why can we not tolerate the existence of other races and accept their submission?"
Ye Meng, Ye Yi, and Ye Feng stood stunned on the spot. Ye Luo's words raged through their hearts like a psychic storm. Invisibly, a brand-new concept of warfare began to sprout within them.
Ye Luo flicked his finger, and a Larva instantly expanded into a massive egg. Ten seconds later, it transformed into a Drone, then crawled onto the mineral vein and began to alienate into a new base. "Everyone, imagine this: when we silently establish a colossal Level 9 civilization in a corner of the universe far from the Mechanical Race and the Thal God Race, and within our jurisdiction, various civilizations flourish—under our rule, all civilizations thrive. Under fair and just laws, sentient beings enjoy the beauty of life. And once there is an outside invasion, once any malicious force attempts to destroy all this, we won't even need to lift a finger; the various races will unite. Our Zerg civilization will be like an unbreakable sword, and the unity of the various races will be our sturdy shield. If that day comes, even if the Mechanical Race and the Thal God Race join forces again, why would we fear them?"
"Bang!" With a loud noise, the giant egg exploded, revealing the brand-new Zerg Base inside.
"Bang!" Ye Meng and the others' eyes lit up. A brand-new light was clearly visible in their eyes!
"Ye Meng, you stay here to protect the base. All Larvae are to prioritize alienating into Drones. Once the number of Drones reaches five hundred, begin alienating five hundred Zerglings and five hundred Hydralisks. After that, alienate another one thousand Drones and then focus entirely on mining! Once the base's security is guaranteed, you may return to the Smoke Mine!"
"As you command, My Emperor!"
In the ocean, the Larva's slender legs were covered in membranes, and the Drones resembled large, flat sea fish. Seeing the base beginning to operate in an orderly fashion, Ye Luo felt at ease and led Ye Feng and Ye Yi away.
Just as Ye Luo was on his way back to the base, the Flying Ants lurking on Robert and Angelina simultaneously transmitted two images back.
Ye Luo's heart stirred, and the two images immediately appeared in the center of his mind.
"Swish, swish..." Thick water vapor obscured the view like clouds and mist. Ye Luo frowned. Didn't the father and daughter go to see the Third Legion general? What is this? Smog?
However, when the Flying Ant's gaze suddenly shifted downward, those proud twin peaks, the slender waist that could be gripped in one hand, and the jungle of the mysterious triangle region instantly appeared before Ye Luo...
"Holy shit..." Two streams of nosebleed erupted from Ye Luo's nose.
"My Emperor, you are injured!" Ye Yi was shocked, and Ye Feng cautiously searched the surroundings... yet they felt no sign of any danger.
Ye Luo wiped his nosebleed in extreme embarrassment, pretending to be calm. "Ahem, that, I'm fine. I've been eating too much fried food lately, probably a bit of internal heat. Alright, let's continue on our way..."
"Fried? Internal heat?" Ye Yi and Ye Feng were stunned. Of course, if this had been heard by a rough fellow like Ye Meng, he might have actually believed it, but the two of them naturally knew this was just an excuse from Ye Luo.
As the Flying Ant switched to another image, Ye Luo's restless heart gradually calmed down.
"Robert, Dieter told me that the newly emerged Magic Beast Clan is bloodthirsty and murderous, yet your daughter was abducted by those beasts for over ten days and remained unharmed. Isn't that a bit too inconceivable?" Inside a massive military tent, a rather thin man sat high on the main seat, looking at Robert standing below. Beside him sat an elderly man over sixty years old, wearing a black robe with gold-threaded edges, and on the robe was embroidered a crescent moon!
The patterns on a mage's robe represent their rank. Levels one to four are represented by one to four stars, a Level 5 mage has a crescent moon, a Level 6 mage has a crescent moon plus three stars, and a Level 7 mage has a full moon with a sky full of stars.
Is this the Level 6 general of the Third Legion and a Level 5 combat-power mage? Ye Luo felt a slight shock. They didn't look like it at all, especially the thin man; his physique didn't look as sturdy as an ordinary soldier's. It was hard to imagine he was a so-called Level 6 Diamond Fighter!
Robert frowned slightly. "Lord Warwick, are you doubting my loyalty to the kingdom?"
Warwick narrowed his eyes and remained silent.
Robert said in a deep voice, "The reason Angelina and I were able to return alive is that this Magic Beast Clan is not as simple as we imagined. They are very intelligent, even more so than us. They understand that different races can develop peacefully, so he spared our lives, allowing us to express his goodwill to Lord Warwick and His Majesty the King..."
"Goodwill... peaceful development..." Warwick's fingers tapped lightly. "Robert, a race that slaughtered over four thousand of my compatriots, and you are speaking up for them like this?"
Robert said helplessly, "That was my mistake. I initially thought they were just ordinary newborn magic beasts. It was my attempt to capture them that angered them, and sending soldiers to attack was our own initiative. They were merely defending themselves, we..."
"Robert!!!" Warwick coldly interrupted him. "Are you now speaking on behalf of these murderers?"
