Bane held a seven-day feast in Kumogakure, and the Sky Beast had certainly eaten its fill. It really did have something to it—its effects were roughly comparable to those of Sea Kings.
But that was all. Seeing that the Sky Beast had no other special qualities, Bane decided not to stay any longer.
Before leaving, however, Bane planned to take Zoro back to The Empire and settle the matter of the Rumble-Rumble Fruit first. He would make Zoro a Rumble-Rumble Fruit user immune to the sea's curse. Once that weakness was removed, the Rumble-Rumble Fruit would surely become even more "invincible."
Deep within the sea of clouds, a small skiff lay moored. Thick clouds and mist filled the surroundings, making the two figures aboard indistinct.
Feeling that this place was hidden enough, Bane stopped rowing and left the boat floating in the sea of clouds. He looked at Zoro and said, "This will do."
Zoro asked curiously, "This place can remove the Devil Fruit's side effects? Or do you have some secret method you can't let anyone see?"
"This is one of my core secrets. I mentioned it to you and Nami before, but you thought I was just bragging and didn't take it seriously," Bane grumbled.
Bane was always making wild claims and bragging without even needing a script, so Zoro thought about it for quite a while but still could not remember what exactly Bane had said.
"I told you I'd take you to conquer other worlds. Did you forget?" Bane reminded him.
Zoro froze for a moment as he recalled it. Surprise appeared in his eyes. "You mean...?"
Bane did not explain further. Instead, he drew upon the power of the mysterious gate within him. To Zoro's astonishment and shock, a Space-Time Gate slowly opened before them.
