The enormous monster was covered head to toe in pure white fur. Its build was incredibly robust, with especially well-developed muscles in its shoulders and arms.
The fur on its head was unusually thick, growing backward down its back like hair, trailing all the way to the ground like a tail.
The monster resembled an oversized gorilla. Its eyes were opened wide as it pounded its chest and let out a savage, predatory roar.
Within the thick fog, Liber gripped the Forbidden Sword with a grave expression, ready for battle.
This was the twelfth floor.
Here, their two-person party had encountered one of the strongest individual monsters on the upper floors—the Silverback.

The Silverback smashed a fist into the ground before Liber, leaving a crater in the sparse grass.
Then it shifted its footing and rapidly spun around, pursuing Liber as he dodged aside. Despite its huge body, it was exceptionally agile.
Every punch the monster threw dispersed swathes of fog, and the powerful gusts of wind even made Liber feel as though he were about to be blown away.
Rather than confronting it head-on, Liber repeatedly evaded its attacks at the very limit.

Lefiya's nervous voice came from beside their battle. The instant Liber answered her and lost focus, a giant fist had already closed in on him. He barely grazed past the fist and dodged the attack.
