You Underestimate Me Too Much

Li Yu sat down at his desk, pulled out his notebook, and began jotting down a list of materials.

After checking to ensure everything was in order, Li Yu tore the page out and handed it to Asuna behind him. "Get these materials ready. As for the magic stones, the higher the quality, the better the effect—that is the core of it all."

Asuna took the slip of paper from Li Yu, glanced at the requirements, and nodded immediately. "I understand. I will get the materials prepared."

Once she finished speaking, Asuna tucked the small note away, pulled out her phone, and looked at Li Yu. "Shall we add each other as friends first?"

She didn't have Li Yu's contact information yet, and this was the perfect opportunity to add him so she could reach him easily later.

Faced with Asuna's request, Li Yu naturally didn't refuse; he pulled out his phone, opened his QR code, and let her scan it.

A moment later, Asuna's friend request came through. When Li Yu saw her username, a strange look flashed in his eyes.

Asuna's username was simply "Asuna," and her profile picture was a selfie of herself, while Li Yu's username was blank, and his profile picture was equally empty.

It was a completely bare-bones account, looking almost as if it had been banned. Asuna was a bit stunned when she saw Li Yu's profile.

Could it be that Li Yu never used this thing? Had he never bothered to set up his account at all?

"Done. Send me a message once you've got everything ready." After adding her, Li Yu said this to Asuna and turned back around.

"Oh, right, Li Yu-kun, how much do you plan to charge?" Just as Li Yu turned away, Asuna couldn't help but ask.

"Let's go with the lowest market rate. Just give me ten thousand; after all, you're my first customer!" Li Yu turned back with a faint smile and stated the price he had decided on.

"Li Yu-kun, are you selling something?" At that moment, a voice rang out unexpectedly.

Hearing the voice, both Li Yu and Asuna turned their heads to see Kato Megumi and Yukino Yukinoshita standing in the aisle next to their desks.

Li Yu frowned as he stared at Kato Megumi. "Kato-san, you've broken through? Your talent has actually grown stronger along with it!"

Indeed, Li Yu had noticed it: today, Kato Megumi was stronger, and her talent had evolved to the point where it could now influence others.

Yukino Yukinoshita, standing beside her, was also being affected; her presence was being dampened as well, which was truly absurd.

Hearing Li Yu say this, Kato Megumi looked troubled. "Yes, I condensed my true qi last night, and when I arrived at school this morning, I discovered my presence had become even weaker—to the point where it can now affect others."

It was quite vexing; the joy of her breakthrough had completely vanished. She had only realized this after meeting Yukino Yukinoshita at school.

Because Yukino Yukinoshita was walking with her, the usually eye-catching girl was being ignored by everyone around them, which was how she realized the other girl was being influenced by her talent.

"Tsk tsk, this is actually fantastic. From now on, Kato-san can lead people in stealth; it's a great talent. However, you should try to learn how to control it." Li Yu offered a suggestion.

Hearing Li Yu's advice, Kato Megumi looked thoughtful. "Perhaps I should try. This lack of control is very distressing."

It wasn't that she hadn't considered the problem, but she hadn't had a clue where to start, even back when she first awakened.

"What were you two talking about just now? What are you selling?" Yukino Yukinoshita couldn't help but ask the question again.

Li Yu hadn't answered Kato Megumi yet, so Yukino Yukinoshita was very curious. Had he and Asuna reached some kind of deal?

"It's nothing much, really. I just asked Li Yu-kun to help me set up a magic array at my house, like the one we have upstairs." Asuna explained the reason behind their conversation.

"If you're interested, you can ask me too. You prepare the materials, I'll go set it up for you. The price is absolutely fair!" Li Yu chuckled.

Yukino Yukinoshita was a wealthy girl; surely she had a need for this, right? These were all potential customers! He had been so focused on Kato Megumi that he had forgotten to answer the question.

Hearing their words, Yukino Yukinoshita's eyes clearly lit up. She looked at Li Yu with some surprise. "You've already mastered it?"

That was quite impressive. Field magic was something many people wanted to learn, but the entry barrier was too high. Yet, here was Li Yu, who seemed to have already learned it!

"It's nothing special. It's normal for me to have learned it, right? It would be abnormal if I hadn't!" Li Yu looked at Yukino with confidence.

Yukino Yukinoshita had never envied someone's talent so much before. She had to admit that she truly envied Li Yu, though she felt not a shred of jealousy.

After all, talent was something that varied from person to person, not to mention that she was already quite satisfied with her own.

"Can you tell me more about it? I'm quite interested." Yukino Yukinoshita didn't dwell on those thoughts and instead asked Li Yu about the field magic.

If she could have one installed in her own home at any time, why would she refuse? She couldn't possibly turn down such a good deal.

"You just prepare the materials, and I'll come help you set it up. The labor fee is ten thousand—that's a friends-and-family price. If you're interested, I'll write down the materials, you go buy them, and I'll set it up for you!" Li Yu looked at Yukino with eyes shining.

Yukino Yukinoshita nodded, pondered for a moment, and spoke. "The price is very reasonable. Help me set one up too. Give me the list of materials, and I'll go buy them!"

She didn't hesitate at all, choosing immediately to have one installed in her home. After all, this magic array was genuinely useful.

If she had one at home, she wouldn't need to go out on Saturdays and Sundays; she could just meditate at home.

Faced with another incoming sale, Li Yu couldn't have been happier. Without a second thought, he pulled out his notebook, wrote down another list of materials, tore it off, and handed it to Asuna.

"Um, give me a material list too. I want one as well." Kato Megumi spoke up at this moment. Ten thousand yen was something she could easily afford, as her family was reasonably well-off.

If she could have one installed where she lived, she would be very happy, so she wanted a list too. She would go buy the materials with the others and have Li Yu help her set it up.
