Li Yu sat down at his desk, took out his notebook, and began writing down a list of materials.
After checking that everything was in order, Li Yu tore out the page and handed it to Asuna behind him. "I need these materials. Go get them ready. The higher the quality of the Magic Stones, the better the result. They're the key."
Asuna took the note Li Yu handed her and glanced over the list. She nodded at once. "Understood. I'll get the materials ready."
After speaking, Asuna put the note away, then took out her phone and looked at Li Yu. "Should we add each other as friends first?"
She didn't have Li Yu's contact information yet, so she might as well add him now. That would make it easier to get in touch later.
Li Yu naturally didn't refuse. He took out his phone and opened his QR code for her to scan.
A moment later, Asuna's friend request came through. When Li Yu saw her username, a strange look flashed through his eyes.
Asuna's username was simply Asuna, and her profile picture was a selfie. Li Yu's username, on the other hand, was blank, and so was his profile picture.
His account was completely bare. It looked as if it had been blocked. Asuna was practically speechless when she saw it.
Did Li Yu never use this thing? Had he really never bothered to set up his account?
"All set. Send me a message once you've got everything ready." After adding her as a friend, Li Yu said this to Asuna, then turned back around.
"By the way, Li Yu, how much are you going to charge?" As Li Yu turned away, Asuna couldn't help asking.
"I'll charge the lowest price on the market. Just give me ten thousand. After all, you're my first customer!" Li Yu turned back with a slight smile and told her the price he'd settled on.
"Li Yu, are you selling something?" a voice suddenly asked.
At the sound of it, Li Yu and Asuna both turned to look. Kato Megumi and Yukino Yukinoshita were standing in the aisle beside their seats.
Li Yu frowned at Kato Megumi. "Kato, did you break through? Your talent got stronger too!"
That was right. Li Yu had noticed that Kato Megumi had grown stronger today, and her talent had strengthened along with her. It could now affect other people.
Yukino Yukinoshita was standing beside her and had been affected too. Her presence had been diminished as well. It was downright unbelievable.
At Li Yu's words, Kato Megumi replied with a troubled look, "Yes. I condensed True Qi last night, and when I came to school this morning, I realized that my presence had grown even weaker. I could even affect other people."
It was frustrating. The joy of breaking through had completely vanished. When she arrived at school, she ran into Yukino Yukinoshita, and the two of them discovered the problem together.
Yukino Yukinoshita had been walking beside her. Although she normally drew everyone's attention, people nearby had started ignoring her too. That was when Kato Megumi realized her talent was affecting Yukino.
"Now that's great! Kato, you'll be able to take people along while sneaking around. It's a pretty useful talent, but you should try to control it." Li Yu offered his advice.
At his suggestion, Kato Megumi spoke thoughtfully. "Maybe I should give it a try. It's really frustrating when I can't control it."
She had considered the problem before, but had no idea where to start. She had wondered about it from the moment her talent awakened.
She'd spent a long time tinkering with it that night, but hadn't made any progress, which had left her disappointed. Now that she was stronger and her talent could affect other people, could that mean there was a new possibility?
"What were you talking about just now? What are you selling?" Yukino Yukinoshita couldn't help asking again.
Li Yu hadn't answered Kato Megumi earlier, so Yukino Yukinoshita was curious too. It seemed he and Asuna had made some kind of deal.
"It's nothing much. I'm asking Li Yu to set up a Magic Array at my house, like the one upstairs," Asuna explained.
"If you're interested, you can hire me too. You provide the materials, and I'll set it up for you. I'll charge a fair price!" Li Yu said with a grin.
Yukino Yukinoshita was rich too, so she might need one. She was a potential customer, after all. He'd been so focused on Kato Megumi just now that he'd forgotten to answer her question.
Hearing what they said, Yukino Yukinoshita's eyes lit up. She looked at Li Yu in surprise. "You've already mastered it?"
That was impressive. Position Magic was something countless people wanted to learn, but getting started was incredibly difficult. Yet Li Yu had apparently already learned it!
"It's nothing special. Of course I'd be able to learn it. It'd be weird if I couldn't!" Li Yu looked at Yukinoshita with confidence.
Yukino Yukinoshita had never envied anyone's talent so much before. Now she had to admit that she really did envy Li Yu, though she wasn't the least bit jealous.
After all, talent varied from person to person. Besides, she was already quite satisfied with her own.
"Could you tell me more about it? I'm interested too." Yukino Yukinoshita didn't dwell on the matter. Instead, she asked Li Yu about Position Magic.
If she could have one installed in her own home, why would she turn down such an offer? There was no way she could refuse.
"All you have to do is get the materials ready, and then I'll set it up for you. The labor fee is ten thousand. That's a friends-and-family price. If you're interested, I'll write down the materials for you to buy, then I'll come set it up!" Li Yu looked at Yukinoshita with shining eyes.
Yukino Yukinoshita nodded. After a moment's thought, she said, "That's a reasonable price. Set one up for me too. Give me the list, and I'll buy the materials!"
She didn't hesitate at all. She immediately decided to have one installed at her own home too. The Magic Array was genuinely useful.
If she had one at home, she wouldn't need to go out on weekends. She could meditate right there instead.
Li Yu was thrilled to have another customer. Without another word, he took out his notebook and wrote up another materials list, then tore it out and handed it to Asuna.
"Um, could I get a materials list too? I want one as well." Kato Megumi spoke up. She could easily afford ten thousand, since her family had a little money.
She'd be happy to have one installed where she lived, so she wanted a list too. They could buy the materials together, then have Li Yu set one up for her.
