Teach me already!

Li Yu and Asuna's conversation immediately drew Kato Megumi and Yukino Yukinoshita's attention. Both looked a little surprised.

"You've already fought those monsters?" Yukino asked, looking at Li Yu and Asuna in disbelief. They'd already fought them?

"Yeah. They appeared in the area where we were staying, and Li Yu and I fought a group of goblins." Asuna didn't hide anything and honestly explained what had happened.

The two girls grew interested at that. They were both curious about the monsters in the Dungeon.

"What kinds of monsters are there?" With next week's combat training in mind, Yukino began asking the two of them about it.

She was quite interested. Getting to fight would be much faster than practicing at school. After all, knowing your enemy and yourself was the key to winning every battle.

Yukino wanted to gather some information, which was why she'd asked. It was just that her idea was clearly unnecessary.

After all, Li Yu and Asuna only knew about two kinds of monsters: a Minotaur and goblins. There wasn't much to say about that, and Li Yu couldn't exactly tell them about all the anime he'd watched.

So Li Yu spread his hands. He didn't know much at all and could only tell them about goblins and Minotaurs. That hardly counted as intelligence.

"That's too bad. Maybe we'll learn something on Monday!" Yukino sounded a little disappointed, but didn't say anything more.

"Li Yu, where did you buy your weapon? Could you recommend the place to me? I need to get one tomorrow, too." Kato spoke up then.

She wasn't interested in the monsters. Instead, she asked where Li Yu had bought his weapon, because his Tang Dao looked to be excellent quality.

The person who forged it must be a very skilled smith, right? She'd feel confident buying a weapon from a shop like that.

At Kato's question, Li Yu immediately began recommending Sister Mi's shop. Sister Mi had done him a favor, so he was happy to bring her more business.

"It's a weapons shop near the school called Jimmy Weapons." Li Yu told her the name of Sister Mi's shop.

Hearing that, Kato remembered the shop. Surprised, she asked, "I've walked past it before, but never gone in. I remember the weapons there were pretty cheap, though?"

She'd always assumed cheap meant poor quality. But Li Yu's Tang Dao was different. Did the shop have weapons that good, too?

Li Yu had worked there, so he knew what the place was like. He immediately explained, "That's because they don't put the good weapons out on display. When you go, tell the owner I sent you, and she'll show you the better ones."

"Oh, and besides weapons, she also buys all kinds of materials." Li Yu didn't forget to add that Sister Mi's shop generally accepted custom weapon orders, too.

After all, her husband had devoted all his talent to smithing, and every weapon in the shop had been made by him. They usually kept the better weapons off the shelves.

Hearing Li Yu's explanation, Kato immediately understood. Yukino had overheard their conversation and couldn't help interrupting. "Li Yu, come to my house after school. How about we stop by the shop together?"

With Li Yu leading the way, she could probably get a better weapon. She needed one, too. Relying on her bare hands in the Dungeon would be too much trouble.

Some monsters weren't suited to fighting barehanded, and she knew a little swordplay, so she needed to get a weapon.

"Sure. I'll take you there, then." Li Yu had no reason to refuse. It was on the way, after all.

They made plans, and the rest of the class seemed to feel a sense of urgency as well. Many students came over to Li Yu.

They asked him to help them with various problems, and began asking about anything they didn't understand.

Looking at his classmates, Li Yu couldn't help saying, "Honestly, if some of you can't make quick progress in martial arts, why not try focusing on magic instead? Everyone has to choose a path they're good at. There's no point in banging your head against the wall."

The others were taken aback. They really hadn't thought much about it. Their teacher had told them to study both, so they'd assumed they had to make equal progress in both.

Only a few had made plans for themselves. Now that Li Yu had reminded them, the others finally realized: if they couldn't make progress in martial arts, why not focus on magic?

"The teacher only requires you to reach Tier Three. They never said it had to be in martial arts or magic. I can tell that quite a few people in this class have a good amount of magic power. If you put in a little effort over the next couple of days, reaching Tier Three should be easy." These guys really had their priorities backward.

Which was the main path, martial arts or magic? They hadn't decided at all, and the teacher hadn't specifically pointed it out, either. Clearly, they were supposed to decide for themselves.

But the students hadn't figured that out yet. Instead, they were all stubbornly focusing on martial arts, even though many of them had stronger talent for magic.

"Right! We can break through in magic first, then work on martial arts. My talent is clearly much stronger in magic. Why am I stubbornly focusing on martial arts?" With that little nudge from Li Yu—

Quite a few students immediately caught on. If they kept stubbornly focusing on martial arts, wouldn't they be putting the cart before the horse? Magic was where they had the advantage.

"So, you should understand what to do now, right? Our class studies both, but not everyone can make equal progress in both. There has to be a main focus, doesn't there?" Li Yu shrugged. He really didn't know what to do with these classmates.

"That's right. My talent lies in magic. If I work hard, I can reach Tier Three in the next couple of days!" The students suddenly came to their senses, and many of them immediately changed their plans.

Quite a few people left Li Yu's side. The ones who remained had better talent in martial arts than in magic, so they could only keep asking Li Yu for help.

Besides, quite a few of them were just one step away. They'd reach Tier Three as soon as they broke through. Li Yu began tutoring the class, and when some students noticed Yukino, they simply went to ask her for help as well.

After all, they hadn't forgotten that Yukino was also very strong, and that she'd broken through on the same day as Li Yu.

With so many people surrounding Li Yu, they might as well ask Yukino, who was free at the moment!

Yukino didn't turn them away. She began tutoring her classmates, sharing some of her own insights.
