Background / History

The sect trained Jiang Li as one of the Myriad Desire Demon Lord's spare bodies and placed him undercover in the Heavenly Mystery Holy Land to gather intelligence. Its agents could be treated as expendable materials or sent on suicide missions, while advancement within the organization offered a possible way to avoid being sacrificed. 1

Its infiltration of the Heavenly Mystery Holy Land was extensive: Jiang Li later discovered sixteen undercover agents within the holy land alone. The sect's agents collected intelligence on valuable targets such as Li Xi, whose unusual breakthrough led them to suspect she possessed the Longevity Physique. 36 79

Jiang Li turned against the sect after rising within the Heavenly Mystery Holy Land. He killed seven undercover agents and a Black-Robed Envoy at Frostfeather City, then used the Myriad Desire Demon Lord's token and his own conversion methods to seize control of the Drunken Flower Brothel branch. 12 27

After imprisoning a strand of the Myriad Desire Demon Lord's divine sense, Jiang Li returned to the sect's territory to obtain fire-attribute Heavenly Killing Qi. He killed the Nascent Soul Elder Crimsonwood Supreme and more than forty Golden Core disciples at Ash Earth Volcano before infiltrating the main sect under the Demon Lord's identity. 78 142 143

While impersonating the Sect Master, Jiang Li destroyed the Fiftieth and Forty-Ninth Cave Demon Lairs, killed a Spirit Transformation Cave Master, and later exposed his true identity in the Valley of Fallen Demons. He escaped the sect's pursuit through Void Turbulence, leaving its reputation severely damaged across the Cultivation World. 146 147 150 157

Despite this humiliation, Gu Xin True Lord continued treating Jiang Li as a potentially recoverable undercover agent. The sect later collaborated with the Thousand Souls Demonic Sect to disrupt Jiang Li's Holy Son Ceremony and expose his former identity; by the time Jiang Li slew a Spirit Transformation Demon King, the Ten Demonic Sects had reached a consensus to kill him. 171 200

Netherworld Mountain Range

The Ten Thousand Demons Sect is based in the million-li Netherworld Mountain Range, a dangerous no-man's-land outside the Nine Provinces. Its territory is described as a landscape of bone forests, ghost fires, poisonous creatures, demonic caves, corpses, and blood. 135 142

Leadership

• Myriad Desire Demon Lord — Sect Master, one of the Ten Great Demon Lords, and a cultivator nearing Dao Integration. He maintains numerous spare bodies for future possession. 143
• Great Cave Masters — High-ranking leaders, including Void Refining cultivators, who oversee the Cave Demon Lairs and can restrain the Sect Master's actions if internal destruction threatens the sect's foundation. 146
