Eight straight black pillars of light rose around Suifeng. Faint lightning flickered through them. In the next instant, countless rays shot between the pillars, linking them together. The light spread farther, forming barrier after barrier.

More whistling sounds rang out as black beams shot between the eight pillars. They crisscrossed in every direction, weaving a huge, complex net inside the barrier. It stretched from top to bottom, dense and tightly packed. There were gaps between the beams, but they were small, and every black line shimmered with a metallic sheen.
"So it's a barrier. Looks like that old bastard Danzo's run out of tricks!"
Suifeng glanced at the beams around him, a red glint flashing in his eyes as he gave a disdainful laugh.
A barrier was different from a sealing jutsu. At least sealing jutsu could be used to attack, while a barrier's main purpose was to isolate a space. And this wasn't true spatial isolation, either. Essentially, it was just a wall built in the real world.
