Mount Sumeru was tall. Legend held that it rose eighty-four thousand yojanas, each measuring more than ten thousand meters. Even the clouds at the edge of the sky seemed to hang around its foot.
"People say Mount Sumeru falls short of eighty-four thousand yojanas, but that is only because mortal eyes cannot behold its true form. Beneath the mountain, a far greater mass lies buried in the Western Regions. Added to the part aboveground, it measures exactly eighty-four thousand yojanas—not a foot more, not a foot less."
Great Sage Moke's words echoed by Fang Yang's ear. There was no need for him to explain further. Through his Source Heavenly Eye, Fang Yang had already seen the whole of Mount Sumeru. From that vantage, its vastness and majesty were even more astonishing.
