Thunder roared inside the Human World Tripod. Nearby, the Great Thunder Sound Temple was stirred by the Dao sounds and answered with even more powerful Buddhist chants, shaking hearts like heavenly thunder.
Thunder rolled on. The monks cultivating on Mount Sumeru could no longer tell whether the sound at their ears came from the Dao Tribulation Gold Cauldron or the Great Thunder Sound Temple.
Some gifted monks with solid cultivation felt as though they had been struck awake. Enlightenment poured down upon them, breaking bottlenecks that had trapped them for years. Their auras surged, one after another, drawing Heavenly Tribulations.
The tribulations gathered. Electric serpents wandered through the Void, and the vast might of heaven was unstoppable. They formed and scattered unpredictably around Mount Sumeru, held back by the power of Faith.
Fang Yang split off a thread of attention and saw that even Great Sage Moke had been shaken into enlightenment by the thunderous sounds. He had entered a profound state of contemplation of the Dao. Fang Yang shook his head, somewhat speechless, then divided his will into thousands of strands and slapped every cultivator who had drawn a tribulation off Mount Sumeru. He sent them to separate parts of the Western Desert so their tribulations would not draw one another in.
Fortunately, only a few decades had passed since heaven and earth began to change. Though Mount Sumeru's Buddhist cultivators were generally stronger than those of other regions, the difference was limited. If several Great Sages like Moke had been undergoing tribulation, moving them away would have been no easy task for Fang Yang.
Inside the Human World Tripod, a faint yet supremely exalted aura spread. It was like a glance cast down by the heavens, crushing the ages and overturning the sun, moon, and stars.
