Threatening words spilled from Dodoria, instantly chilling the atmosphere.
"Oh? You want my Scouter? You usually look like you've got more brawn than brains, but I suppose you've got a shred of sense when it counts, knowing what's at stake." Vegeta removed his Scouter with a look of amusement.
When it came down to it, bringing this thing to Planet Namek was only to make moving around easier and to keep tabs on the movements of the Frieza Force.
Now that his strength had increased and his mastery of ki had reached a certain realm, his ability to sense energy was far more useful than this detector.
Facing Vegeta's sarcasm, Dodoria's ugly face darkened.
However, he didn't lose his temper, intending to secure the Scouter first. He continued, "Hand over the Scouter, and I might consider sparing you! Otherwise, you know the outcome—I can just take it from your corpse."
"Is that so?" Vegeta gave a cold, indifferent smile, then tossed the Scouter onto the ground in front of Dodoria. "If you want it, pick it up yourself."
"You! Fine, very well!!" Dodoria was incensed, veins bulging like writhing dragons, but he didn't dare push his luck too far just yet.
He stepped forward and bent down, preparing to retrieve the Scouter from the ground.
In a split second, Vegeta used high-speed movement to appear right in front of him, planting a foot firmly on his head.
This action undoubtedly pushed Dodoria over the edge; his pent-up rage erupted, and a fierce, brutal aura surged from his body.
Vegeta had originally intended to crush the Scouter right in front of him.
But since this guy had lowered his head so perfectly, he had practically begged to be stepped on.
"You really are a good dog, aren't you? The way you scramble to pick things up looks just like you're licking boots." Facing Dodoria's outburst, Vegeta remained completely unfazed.
That brute force was decent enough; if it had been before he unlocked his potential, he might have been genuinely shocked—after all, it was a burst of 22,000 power level.
But in front of him now, Dodoria wasn't even worth an ant; he only needed to use one percent of his power to suppress him.
"D-damn it! How is this possible?! How could you have such immense power?!" Driven by his fury, the surging power within him made Dodoria feel as though his combat strength had increased, yet he couldn't shake Vegeta in the slightest.
Not only could he not stand up, but his body was being pinned directly into the ground by Vegeta, his entire head nearly buried in the dirt.
Only now did he recall the intelligence he had received earlier: Vegeta's combat power had surpassed both his and Zarbon's.
It wasn't a lie!
"How I possess such power is none of your concern. In short, my current combat strength has reached a level beyond your imagination. Even Frieza, without transforming, would have to avoid my edge." Vegeta sneered, increasing the pressure.
Dodoria's entire head sank into the earth.
He struggled desperately, but it was futile.
After grinding him down for a long while, Vegeta felt he had finally vented the pent-up resentment of the original Vegeta. Feeling refreshed, he lifted his foot and kicked Dodoria away.
It was just a casual kick, yet it sent Dodoria flying all the way to another island.
An explosion rang out, and Dodoria's entire body was buried under a pile of rubble.
Thick smoke billowed, and shockwaves surged into the sky.
Vegeta strolled forward, step by step, before finally hovering into the air and arriving at the spot where Dodoria was buried.
"Are you going to keep playing dead for me? Do you think I'm as stupid as you lot, unable to tell if you're alive or dead? Under my perception, you have nowhere to hide." Vegeta sneered, raising his hand as an energy blast materialized in his palm.
The density of it was enough to destroy a planet.
Though, perhaps not a planet on the scale of Planet Namek.
"No, don't, Vegeta, spare me! As long as you let me go, I can tell you a secret." Dodoria's voice drifted from the rubble, and he crawled out in a wretched state, dozens of wounds bleeding all over his body.
"Oh? So you know how to beg for mercy too? A secret? Hmph! Don't tell me you're going to say that Planet Vegeta and the Saiyan race were actually wiped out by Frieza? If that's it, then what a pity—you're just a pathetic worm who knows nothing." Vegeta said with disdain.
Frieza was nothing more than a dog controlled by the God of Destruction.
"Y-you, how do you know? Who told you?" Seeing Vegeta state this secret so bluntly, Dodoria felt a chill run down his spine.
King Frieza had strictly forbidden this matter; no one dared to speak of it.
It was all to keep Vegeta around as a plaything.
The fact that Vegeta had known this all along meant he had never truly been loyal to Frieza; he had been building his strength in the shadows the entire time.
They had all underestimated Vegeta.
"Anyone with a brain could figure it out! A meteor impact causing a planet to explode—do you really believe such a flimsy excuse?" Vegeta appeared before Dodoria in an instant, the energy blast in his hand aimed directly at his face.
Dodoria was terrified, scrambling backward in fear until he tripped over a rock and fell.
Seeing this, Vegeta burst into laughter.
Though Dodoria looked intimidating on the outside, this display, combined with his current state, was truly comical.
Toying with him like this was a fitting revenge for the original owner of this body.
"So, just go ahead and die! Don't worry, I'll send Zarbon and Frieza down to keep you company soon enough! Once you're in hell, you can continue being Frieza's dog." With that, not giving Dodoria a chance to gasp or beg further, Vegeta fired the energy blast.
"BOOM!!!!"
The energy blast engulfed Dodoria's body, detonating instantly and swallowing him whole without a shred of suspense.
His energy signature plummeted rapidly before vanishing into nothingness, the explosion whipping up a hurricane that shook the area for dozens of miles.
Having dealt with Dodoria, Vegeta lifted his gaze toward another direction.
Of the two energy signatures he had sensed earlier, the other one belonged to Zarbon.
The two of them must have agreed to search in different directions.
Dodoria was already dead, and Zarbon should be dead as well.
With Frieza's left and right arms severed, he would be unable to move an inch, left with no choice but to wait for the Ginyu Force to arrive.
Before Vegeta could truly take action, a voice suddenly rang out in his mind.
It was a telepathic message from the Grand Elder; he had sensed Zarbon's trajectory. If he continued forward, he would encounter the village where a Dragon Ball was kept, so he hoped he could step in to resolve the situation.
Vegeta agreed, considering it a way to repay a portion of the favor he owed.
Furthermore, Vegeta could surmise that this village might be the very one that the original Vegeta had destroyed upon arriving on Planet Namek in the original story...
