Although Wang Zhen had fought with all his might, after setting off two enormous fireworks, he inevitably entered his post-orgasmic "sage mode." Still, the dazzling fireworks created by the explosions had left him immensely satisfied. So, after resting for a while and recovering his strength, he once again embarked on a fishing trip, using himself as bait.

Some people were happy, while others were miserable!

The world was just that fucked up. After you struggled to withstand a terrible situation, there was a very good chance you'd run into an even worse one. Only a tiny chance remained that things would turn around and that surviving a great disaster would bring good fortune.

With his awesome cheat, Wang Zhen had successfully changed classes to the extraordinary profession of State Alchemist. Then, through the Main God's VIP service, which instantly repaired his entire body, he'd exploited a bug to repeatedly leech benefits from the Gate of Truth, giving him extraordinary combat strength far beyond that of ordinary people.

On top of that, Wang Zhen had nine years of experience in killing. His proficiency in combat and killing far surpassed everyone else's. Even the so-called professional assassin Zero and mercenary heavy gunner Ba Wang couldn't compare. After all, they'd only entered the fields of assassination and mercenary work as adults, to make a living. Wang Zhen, however, had entered the assassination business at the age of ten just to survive, and had stuck with it for nine years!

That was why Wang Zhen's strength had grown especially quickly after he became a State Alchemist!

By now, he could kill two Xenomorphs with ease—and at the same time!

Now, look at Zheng Zha's side. What a mess!

Wang Zhen was killing with such ease, while Zheng Zha and the others were fighting with such difficulty and looking so wretched!

It was like a rich guy paying a fortune for a max-level account, then—because he had no idea how the game worked or what his class skills did—arrogantly assuming he was invincible, only to get KO'd by Hogger, an elite level-eleven Gnoll!

The sight was downright painful!

Zheng Zha was like that rich guy who'd paid a fortune for a Vampire Baron Bloodline and Intermediate Internal Energy Enhancement. Without knowing a thing about how to fight with that bloodline, he'd bragged that he was the strongest fighter on the Zhongzhou Team—and then got taught a lesson by the most ordinary Worker Xenomorph!

In fact, with his C-rank Mutant Vampire Bloodline and C-rank internal energy enhancement, Zheng Zha effectively had two C-rank enhancements.

But what about the Xenomorphs?

The reward for clearing the Resident Evil world was one D-rank side-mission and 1,000 reward points. In other words, the strongest Xenomorphs in that world were only at that level. So why had Zheng Zha, with his two C-rank enhancements, been beaten into a pulp by a D-rank Xenomorph?

There was only one answer!

During the ten-day break in the middle of the story world, Zheng Zha hadn't practiced fighting with his bloodline at all. Instead, every day he and Loli had pushed the limits of the 404-compliant Great Bodhisattva of Harmony. That was why Zheng Zha, despite having a Vampire Bloodline, had ended up crouching off to the side and throwing up at the sight of a bloody dismemberment. He hadn't used his vampire senses to detect the Xenomorph in advance, and even after seeing it, he had no idea how to fight!

Zheng Zha had leapt straight to the top with two C-rank enhancements, but compare him with Wang Zhen. Wang Zhen had used his cheat to change classes into the heavily restricted profession of State Alchemist, then exploited a Main God bug to refine the class's features himself and develop his own fighting style. In the story world, he'd also easily killed three Xenomorphs on his own, two of them in a single sweep!

Although Zheng Zha's side had more people, almost none of them could provide meaningful support in a fight. Zhang Jie was the only one who could help Zheng Zha, but for his own reasons, he couldn't make up for what Zheng Zha lacked. Chu Xuan, Zero, and Ba Wang were all professionals, true, but without guns in their hands, the three of them weren't much better than Li Shuaixi, who'd been ambushed and eaten. After all, none of the three newcomers could beat a Xenomorph to death with their bare hands! As for Zhan Lan, there was even less to say. Though she had a precious talent on the mental side, she'd only earned 1,000 reward points in the Resident Evil story world, nowhere near enough to get the mental superpowers that suited her!

And so, Zheng Zha—the noob who didn't even know how to move forward, backward, or sideways in a game, let alone use his skills—was decked out in a max-level T3 set thanks to his two C-rank enhancements, yet got hacked to pieces by a level-eleven elite Gnoll of a Xenomorph. It was like a pig being butchered: one cut left, one cut right, one above, one below. Every blow drew blood and tore off flesh. If Zheng Zha's health bar hadn't been so long, he would have been down on his knees already!

Even so, Zheng Zha still wasn't making any progress. His frantic movements couldn't block the Xenomorph's innate combat and killing skills at all. Zhang Jie's help consisted of standing behind him and using two infinite-ammo Desert Eagles to scratch at the Xenomorph's tough exoskeleton. Everyone else could only hide to the side, cheering him on.

No matter how long or thick a health bar was, it would eventually be chopped away. And since the Xenomorph was a weapon of slaughter from head to toe, it dealt Zheng Zha enormous damage. His health bar was dropping fast! When it had fallen to a third, Zheng Zha took another claw strike. It ripped open his chest and tore away a chunk of flesh, exposing his stark white ribs...

At that very moment, the pain vanished from Zheng Zha's face, leaving it as calm as still water. His eyes became strangely hollow and indifferent, like a dead, freezing pool. Yet he seemed possessed by a demon, as though a real vampire had taken over his body in that instant!

His movements were strange and elusive, yet ferocious and ruthless. He was like a humanoid bat, whirling and swooping around the Xenomorph. Before, almost every one of the Xenomorph's attacks had landed. Now, its attack speed remained lightning-fast, its moves just as bizarre and its blows just as vicious, but it could no longer hit Zheng Zha.

Zheng Zha's movements weren't so fast that the eye couldn't follow them, yet their strange, elusive quality kept the Xenomorph from landing a hit. Meanwhile, his ferocious counterattacks struck true every time. He'd already dropped the specially purchased combat knife, but his long, pale hands had withered into bony white claws, their fingertips sharp as blades!

The Xenomorph's exoskeleton, tough enough to withstand bullets, was like tissue paper beneath those strange hands. A gentle jab made a hole; a casual swipe opened a deep gash!

Once Zheng Zha activated the VIP power-leveling service reserved for big-spending bosses, it took just a few seconds for the elite Gnoll of a Xenomorph that had nearly hacked its rich boss to death to be beaten to the ground by the VIP stand-in the boss had urgently called in at enormous cost!

If Wang Zhen had been there, he would surely have sighed at how awesome rich bosses protected by the protagonist's halo were. The moment they couldn't win a fight, they called in VIP-level stand-ins to save the day. Few monsters could withstand the professional services of a VIP-level power-leveler, so once a rich protagonist-boss summoned one, the fight was basically over!

After the VIP stand-in left without looking back, Zheng Zha, the rich protagonist-boss, collapsed right onto the ground. Calling in a VIP stand-in in the middle of the fight had cost him an enormous amount. Even he was so heartbroken that he lay there twitching...

Just as Zheng Zha was lamenting the cost, two more Xenomorphs came sprinting toward them from afar...
