"Gerard, come out, Gerard!"
Ash stood in his own dream, shouting over and over. Silence filled the area around him. The entire city was empty, as if it had died.
And now that his consciousness had returned, he could also sense the unreality of his surroundings.
This felt completely different from the last time he had entered the dream.
"Right, last time it was because of Eligos—because of that demon! I brought it into the dream. I need to find it!"
Only by using Eligos could his ordinary dream become special, become exceptionally clear.
This was power derived from a lesser demon.
With that thought, Ash began searching through the dream without stopping. His time was limited, yet infinite.
Because in dreams, many scenes lasted only an instant.
Some people had dreams that felt incredibly long.
Yet in reality, it was not as though they had spent an entire night dreaming. They might have dreamed for only a few minutes; the rest of the time, they were muddleheaded, their brains not in an active state.
So compared to the crisis outside, Ash could spend longer in the dream.
But that was not absolute either.
Ash searched everywhere through the deathly silent city for Eligos, but in such a massive city, finding something roughly a meter long was truly difficult.
"Eligos, you damned bastard, come out! Gerard. Gerard, can you hear me calling you? Your old friend needs help."
"Gerard, the world needs your help!"
"Eligos, I advise you to come out on your own, or if I find you, I'll make you regret it!" Ash searched everywhere while cursing and shouting like mad.
As far as he was concerned, he had already spent three full days in the dream—seventy-two hours.
He had turned over countless places, yet still found nothing.
