If they couldn't solve a problem, it meant they weren't strong enough or fast enough.
There were plenty of people who relied purely on technique—or whose technique mattered more than their strength.
But monsters with freakish physiques emerged endlessly across the seas. Many people had found that when the gap in strength and speed was too great, technique could do very little. So they pursued ever greater speed and strength.
Even swordsmen, who generally favored technique, tended to use forceful, powerful sword moves with little variation.
Of course, the Star Sea swordsmanship that pursued force and momentum was not weak, either. A heavy sword needed no edge, and the greatest skill was to seem unskilled.
But Reincarnators were different. As their horizons broadened and they witnessed more of the world, their fighting styles changed along with them, eventually forming entirely new styles suited to each individual.
