Exile and decline

The Xiao Clan was formerly a great family of the Jia Ma Empire's Imperial Capital and a Dou King clan associated with Xiao Lin. After Xiao Lin died from severe injuries, the clan was forced from the capital; Xiao Ding later learns that three families had jointly driven them out. 1 93 96 99

By the time it settled in Wutan City, the clan was an ostracized outsider competing with the Jia Lie and Oba clans. Its resources were severely limited: its strongest lightning-attributed cultivation method and Dou Skill were only High-tier Yellow-grade. 1 2

Xiao Zhan serves as clan head. His sons Xiao Ding, Xiao Li, and Xiao Yan become the central figures in the clan's resurgence. 1 99

Unification of Wutan City

Xiao Li returned after a year of training as a one-star Great Dou Shi and proposed destroying the Jia Lie and Oba clans so the Xiao Clan could stand alone in Wutan City. Xiao Zhan accepted the plan and summoned both rival clans under the pretense of discussing an alliance. 13

The Xiao Clan ambushed the visiting leaders, with Xiao Zhan fighting Jia Lie Bi and Xiao Li stopping Oba Pa. After the leadership battle, Xiao Zhan and Xiao Li eradicated both clans and absorbed their estates, storefronts, and resources. 14 15

Xiao Zhan confirmed that the purge extended to the defeated clans' women and children; Xiao Li accepted the outcome as eliminating future threats. 15

Investigation into the clan's past

Seeking the truth behind the clan's exile, Xiao Ding entered the Imperial Capital as Princess Yao Yue's Captain of the Guards. His position gave him access to noble circles and imperial information. 93 95

Jia Xingtian confirmed that the Wutan City Xiao Clan was the former capital clan of Xiao Lin. Xiao Ding chose to postpone revenge until he possessed at least Dou King strength, recognizing that the families involved still retained Dou Ling experts. 96 97
