The Ninja Academy's Incredible Legends (58): There Are No Peaceful Times, Only Seniors Bleeding and Sweating
After the dust had settled, quite some time passed before Konoha ninja finally arrived to investigate.
Before them lay a devastated landscape. What had once been a lush forest had become a moderately sized circular crater. Before long, it looked like it would turn into a vibrant, thriving lake.
"Can a person really do something like this?"
"You're too naive. You didn't experience the terror of those world-destroying powerhouses going all out during the Fourth Shinobi World War. If you haven't seen it, you can't imagine it!"
"What should we do? This is clearly beyond our ability to handle."
"With something like this happening, the bigwigs above definitely aren't unaware of it. Stop worrying about things that aren't your business and do your job."
"So we should pretend we don't know?"
"Idiot! Didn't you hear what I said? Whether the people above know has nothing to do with you. But if you don't do what you're supposed to, do you want to lose your job? Ninja aren't supposed to act by trying to guess what their superiors are thinking. Hurry up, look around, then write an investigation report and submit it."
One tall and one short, one old and one young, the two ninja came and went in a hurry. Afterward, many others arrived, but most of them found nothing.
At Mizuki's home, little Miyuki and Nagi Gekko were still studying in their room, while Futaba Tsumugi and Makoto Ito had already gone home.
Makoto Ito's learning ability was only so-so; he could barely ensure that he passed himself, so teaching others was beyond him. Futaba Tsumugi, meanwhile, was severely unbalanced in her subjects. Little Miyuki was better suited to playing the role of big sister and helping her companions review their lessons.
Tsubaki Chie had not returned home yet.
