Playing Dead

The battle had been going on for quite some time, entering a fever pitch from the very beginning and pushing both Sasuke Uchiha and Shimura Danzō to the brink of collapse.

How to defeat his enemy was now the question. Sasuke Uchiha held no great advantage at the moment and was even in a considerably unfavorable position.

After swallowing several soldier pills, Sasuke Uchiha recovered a portion of his chakra, and Lightning Style Armor appeared around him once more. His speed far surpassed Shimura Danzō's, allowing Sasuke to continue counterattacking for the time being. The enemy's fierce wind blades simply could not keep up with Sasuke Uchiha's speed. Even when the occasional aftershock struck Sasuke, the Lightning Style Armor's defense prevented it from causing any real harm.

Shimura Danzō, who held certain advantages in physical condition and chakra reserves, was unable to turn those advantages into victory and had no choice but to carefully consider his next move.

He had just consumed so much Omnipotence Potion, and the surging power within him was building to the point of bursting forth. He needed an outlet; otherwise, the various powerful yet incompatible forces would clash and tear Danzō's body to pieces.

There was nothing else that could offer the current Shimura Danzō greater help...

"Wood Release: Wood Locking Wall!"

Wooden vines rose from the ground one after another, curving into arched barriers that protected Shimura Danzō's body. Only a single opening was left as an observation point.

His chakra was beginning to replenish, so using Wood Release for defense was only natural. Wind Style possessed tremendous offensive power, but its defensive capabilities were far inferior to the well-rounded Wood Release.

"Is this your final trump card?"

Using Wood Release for defense was not a mistake, but sometimes, gaining one thing meant losing
