Overview

A Dao Lord is a cultivator who has progressed beyond the perfection of the World Realm by creating a personal Dao from the fundamental mysteries they have mastered. The Dao they create determines their future potential; an ordinary Dao can support advancement to Eternal Emperor, while stronger paths offer far greater prospects. 139

The realm is exceptionally dangerous. A Dao Lord must continue advancing their self-created Dao step by step, and mistakes may halt their progress or lead to death. Dao integration is the decisive trial of this path: success creates a Dominator, while failure is common even for peak Dao Lords. 148 149

Cultivation

Creating a Dao

At World Realm perfection, cultivators can no longer directly comprehend the universe’s origin. They must instead use their mastered foundational mysteries to create a Dao of their own. 139

• Ordinary Dao — sufficient to become a Dao Lord, though it produces comparatively weak Eternal Emperors if carried to its limit. 139
• Strongest Dao — a superior path created through exceptional insight; Zhou Yu created several in the directions of Time-Space Destruction, Travel, and Avatar. 140
• Ultimate Dao — an extraordinarily difficult path with no established reference point. Its practitioners avoid many wrong paths but face much greater difficulty in raising their Dao further. 148
• Fusion Ultimate Dao — a peak form of Ultimate Dao cultivation. Dao Lord Ganyu’s attainment in this path placed him at the absolute pinnacle among Dao Lords. 242

Dao Integration

Dao integration is the attempt to merge one’s Dao completely and become a Dominator. Even observing a compatible Dominator-level Dao provides only a slight increase in a peak Dao Lord’s chance of success. 149 150

• Most Dao Lords never see a Dominator-level Dao before attempting integration. 149
• A Dao Lord who takes the wrong path may be unable to advance further or may perish. 148

Dao Lord Cloud Realm

The Dao Lord Cloud Realm is a trial used in the Mangya Kingdom’s Twelve Palaces to assess Dao Lord combat power. It contains puppet opponents and is divided into four tiers. 150

Dao Lord Cang You cleared the Golden Cloud Realm with ease upon joining the Time-Space Palace. 150

Divine Power and Secret Arts

Dao Lords possess vast advantages in divine power over lower realms. Dao Lord Huoyu, a Third-Step Dao Lord, had a base of divine power ten million times greater than Zhou Yu’s at the time, before accounting for divine-power-burning techniques. 146
