Raditz watched Son Goku walk toward him, a hint of panic in his voice: "What? Kakarot, what are you doing?"
Son Goku stood ten meters in front of him, watching him with a calm expression. "I want you to understand... that there is always someone better, and a sky beyond the sky. Piccolo's combat power is lower than yours, yet he defeated you in one move!"
"That's because I didn't dodge! If I had been prepared, he definitely couldn't have beaten me! My combat power level is so much higher than his!!!" Raditz said, flustered and exasperated.
"Since you are so superstitious about combat power levels, then let me show you this!"
After saying this, Son Goku took a deep breath, and the aura on his body was released slightly—
"Hum—"
The air seemed to solidify.
Raditz's Scouter began to flash wildly, emitting a harsh, shrill alarm: "Beep, beep, beep—beep, beep, beep—"
The numbers jumped frantically—
100... 500... 1000... 3000!
"Thr... three thousand?!" Raditz's voice trembled, cold sweat seeping from his forehead. "Impossible! This is absolutely impossible! You're just trash with a birth combat power of only two! How could you possibly reach three thousand!"
"Three thousand?" Son Goku tilted his head. "Oh, that's just my suppressed aura. Do you want to see... the real number?"
Before Raditz could react, the aura flame on Son Goku's body surged violently!
A white light shot into the sky, tearing the clouds apart! A wild wind howled, sand and stones flew, and even Piccolo was blown back dozens of steps by the shockwave, staring in horror at the figure shrouded in white light!
"Beep, beep, beep—beep, beep, beep—"
The numbers on the Scouter soared crazily—
5000... 10000... 15000... 20000... 24000...
"Crack!"
A wisp of blue smoke rose from the Scouter, the screen shattered, and it was completely destroyed!
"No... impossible..." Raditz's legs went weak, and he slumped to the ground. "The Scouter... the Scouter is broken... it must be broken... Prince Vegeta, the strongest of the Saiyans, only has a combat power of eighteen thousand..."
Son Goku retracted his aura, and the white light dissipated. He walked slowly toward Raditz, looking down at his "older brother" from above.
"How about it, my foolish brother," his voice was soft, yet it struck Raditz's heart like a heavy hammer, "what is... my combat power?"
Raditz trembled all over, his lips quivering: "You... what kind of monster are you..."
"A monster?" Son Goku smiled. "No, I'm just a... Earth-raised Saiyan who loves to train."
He squatted down to look Raditz in the eye: "By the way, you just said... Prince Vegeta has a combat power of eighteen thousand?"
Raditz nodded subconsciously: "Ye... yes... Prince Vegeta is a genius among the Saiyans..."
"Eighteen thousand, huh..." Son Goku stood up and looked at the sky, a meaningful smile tugging at the corners of his mouth. "How weak."
"Weak?!" Raditz screamed as if his tail had been stepped on. "Prince Vegeta is of the Saiyan royal family! His combat power is the highest among all Saiyans! You actually called him weak?!"
"In my eyes," Son Goku said indifferently, "he is just a dog that bullies the weak and fears the strong. If he dares to come to Earth..."
He turned his head, a sharp glint flashing in his black eyes:
"I'll beat him so hard even his mother won't recognize him."
Raditz's eyes widened.
Just then, he suddenly remembered something, and a ferocious grin appeared on his face: "Kakarot... you're finished! Everything you just said... was transmitted to Prince Vegeta through my backup Scouter!"
"Oh?" Son Goku raised an eyebrow.
"Prince Vegeta must have heard it! He will come and kill you!" Raditz laughed wildly. "Wait for your death!"
Son Goku looked at him and suddenly smiled.
That smile made Raditz's own grin freeze on his face.
"That's perfect," Son Goku reached out his hand. "Give me the Scouter."
"Wh... what?"
"The Scouter," Son Goku glared, an invisible pressure enveloping Raditz. "Give it to me."
Raditz shuddered, hurriedly taking out the only remaining backup Scouter and offering it with both hands: "He... here you go..."
Son Goku took the Scouter and pressed the communication button.
Deep in the universe, on a desolate planet.
Vegeta sat on a rock, his black, spiky hair gleaming under the starlight. He was short, but his entire body radiated a suffocating sense of oppression.
"That waste, Raditz," he said coldly, "he's been on Earth for so long, and there hasn't been a single message."
"Prince Vegeta," Nappa stood to the side, his massive, muscular frame like a small mountain, "would you like me to go and check?"
"No need," Vegeta scoffed. "On that trash planet, Raditz alone is enough..."
Just then, the Scouter on his ear suddenly emitted a burst of static.
"Hm?"
He connected the signal, and a strange voice came through—
"Vegeta, I know you can hear me."
Vegeta frowned: "This voice... it isn't Raditz?"
"I am Kakarot," Son Goku's voice carried a hint of a smile, "a low-class warrior from Earth. I hear you have a combat power of eighteen thousand?"
Vegeta's eyes turned cold: "Kakarot? That trash sent to Earth? Where is Raditz?!"
"Him?" Son Goku chuckled, "He's currently kneeling on the ground, shivering."
"What?!"
"Vegeta," Son Goku's voice suddenly turned serious, "I'm waiting for you on Earth. If you don't come..."
He paused, then said every word clearly:
"You're my grandson."
"Click."
The communication cut off.
Vegeta stood stunned for a second.
Then—
"BOOM—!!!"
A violent aura erupted from his body, shattering all the surrounding rocks into dust! His eyes burned with monstrous rage, and his hair stood straight up on end!
"KAKAROT—!!!"
He roared, condensing a massive energy sphere in his hand and hurling it fiercely at a distant mountain range!
"RUMBLE—!!!"
The entire mountain range was reduced to ash in an instant!
"Pr... Prince Vegeta?!" Nappa was so frightened he retreated repeatedly.
"Nappa! Prepare the ship!" Vegeta's voice was as cold as ice, yet his eyes burned with insane killing intent, "We're going to Earth immediately! I'm going to make that damn Kakarot... and that spineless Raditz..."
"Die without a corpse!!!"
Nappa trembled all over and hurriedly bowed his head: "Ye... yes! Prince Vegeta!"
A moment later, a spherical spaceship shot into the sky, speeding toward Earth.
Earth.
Son Goku turned off the Scouter and tossed it back to Raditz: "Here, take it back."
Raditz took it with trembling hands, his face full of terror: "Ka... Kakarot... are... are you really not afraid of Prince Vegeta? He... he has a combat power of eighteen thousand..."
"Eighteen thousand?" Son Goku smiled, "My current combat power... is about five million."
"Fi... five million?!" Raditz's eyes nearly popped out of his head, "Yo... you're joking, right?!"
"I never joke," Son Goku turned around, his back to him, his voice calm, "Raditz, I'll give you two choices."
"One, I kill you, just like you wanted to kill that farmer earlier."
"Two, you stay on Earth and submit to my supervision. You are not allowed to harm any Earthlings, and you are not allowed to use the Scouter to contact the outside world. In exchange..."
He turned his head, revealing a smile that made Raditz's skin crawl:
"I will teach you how to become stronger. Strong enough to... surpass Vegeta."
Raditz froze.
He looked at the younger brother before him, this "low-class warrior" who was once mocked by the entire Saiyan race, and a complex emotion he had never felt before surged in his heart.
Fear, resentment, jealousy... and a trace of something he didn't even want to admit to himself... anticipation.
"I..." he lowered his head, his voice hoarse, "I choose two..."
"Very good," Son Goku nodded, then suddenly slammed a fist onto Raditz's head!
"Pow!"
"That hurts! What are you doing?!" Raditz clutched his head and wailed.
"That's a lesson," Son Goku pulled back his fist, his smile bright, "Remember, on Earth, you are not allowed to bully the weak. Otherwise..."
He clenched his fist, his knuckles popping.
Raditz shivered all over: "Go... got it..."
Piccolo stood to the side, watching this scene, his green face full of complex emotions.
"Son Goku..." he muttered, "you guy... what kind of monster are you..."
Son Goku looked at him, his smile turning gentle: "Piccolo! I'm leaving this guy Raditz for you to supervise! Teach him how to farm! How to cook! How to be a proper Earthling!"
Piccolo: "...What?!"
Raditz: "...Farm?!"
"Right!" Son Goku said casually as he flew toward West City in the distance, "Raditz! Remember to eat something good! You're too thin!"
Raditz looked down at his own sturdy, muscular frame, then back at the receding figure of Son Goku, his face a mask of bewilderment.
"This guy..." he muttered, "what on earth is he thinking..."
Piccolo sighed and turned to walk toward his stone hut: "Let's go, Saiyan. We're fetching water first."
"Fetch... fetch water?!"
"What else?" Piccolo shot him a cold glance, "On Earth, those who don't work... don't eat."
Raditz: "..."
He gazed up at the unfamiliar blue sky, suddenly overcome by the urge to cry.
"I... I am an elite of the Saiyans..."
"How did I end up reduced to fetching water..."
In the distance, Son Goku's silhouette had already vanished into the horizon.
