The Dragon Ball World.

Universe 7, Earth!

Outside a place not far from West City, there was a vast ocean.

"Hey, everyone! I'm back!"

A crowd had gathered outside Master Roshi's house: Bulma, Chi-Chi, Tien Shinhan, Chiaotzu, and Krillin.

They were all there, but just then, a sudden voice rang out. A golden cloud came flying from far away.

It was Son Goku's Flying Nimbus. They said that only someone with a completely pure heart could ride it.

There were two people on it: Son Gohan and Son Goten. When they arrived, they leaped down from the Flying Nimbus and landed in front of everyone.

"Gohan, where's Goku?" Krillin asked Son Gohan.

He hadn't seen Son Goku come with them, which surprised him, so he asked.

"Dad and Uncle Vegeta said they had something to take care of, so they told us not to wait for them," Son Gohan replied with a smile.

"Forget it. We won't wait for them. Whenever Goku and Vegeta meet, they always end up doing something between men."

Master Roshi was the one who spoke. His signature turtle shell was strapped to his back.

His choice of words was rather suggestive, though, and easily gave people the wrong idea.

At that moment, no one noticed that far below the sea, where Master Roshi and the others were, it was pitch-black, with visibility of only a few meters.

On the ocean floor, a boy dressed in black lay motionless.

From a distance, he looked like a corpse. There wasn't a trace of life left in him.

"I..." Just then, a faint voice came from the boy.

The boy slowly opened his eyes, but after saying just one word, his expression suddenly changed.

An unimaginable pressure enveloped his entire body. In an instant, his bones began to creak loudly.

"Where is this?" the boy wondered.

The pain brought him fully to his senses. He immediately looked around, his expression grave.

"Ding! System loading complete. Would the host like to activate it now?"

Just then, an electronic voice sounded in Soya's mind.

But Soya was in unbearable pain, and he couldn't pay any attention to the electronic voice in his head. He hadn't heard it clearly at all.

The feeling of his bones being crushed by the pressure grew more intense, and the shadow of death loomed over him.

"Ding! System loading complete. Would the host like to activate it now?"

The electronic voice sounded in Soya's mind for the second time.

This time, however, Soya heard it clearly.

"A system?"

Soya froze for a moment. Despite the excruciating pain throughout his body, he had heard those two words loud and clear.

His memories were still hazy. One moment, he'd been at a hotel, where someone had tried to scam him with a honey trap. How had he ended up in a place like this?

And what was with the damn system voice going ding, ding, ding in his head?

Still, he felt a little excited.

"Damn it, could this mean I'm not dreaming? Have I really transmigrated?

"I remember all the novels I used to read had systems. The protagonists would rely on them to rise to fame and become overlords."

Soya muttered to himself. As a novel fan, he was hardly unfamiliar with systems!

Of course, systems only existed in novels. They couldn't possibly appear in real life. Soya knew that perfectly well.

Fantasies weren't reality. He liked reading novels, but that didn't mean he mistook them for real life.

"Could I be dreaming?" Soya asked himself.

But he soon realized something was wrong. If this really were a dream, he wouldn't be able to feel pain. Yet the suffering his body was enduring was all too real.

"Third reminder: System loading complete. Would the host like to activate it? Please respond within ten seconds, or the system will self-destruct and the host will die."

The electronic voice rang out in Soya's mind for the third time. After it spoke, something resembling a countdown appeared in his mind.

"Activate the system!"

This time, Soya didn't hesitate. Whether he was dreaming or not, activating a system didn't seem like it could hurt him. But if he didn't activate it—

"Ding! System activated. Congratulations, host, you have obtained the Saiyan Limit System."

The electronic voice rang out once more.

"The Saiyan Limit System?"

Soya murmured. As soon as he heard the name of his system, he understood.

"The Saiyan Limit System means the host has no limits and can continue growing stronger through the Saiyan transformations."

The system's electronic voice spoke, offering a brief introduction. That was all; there was nothing more.

"That's it? Can't you give me a more detailed introduction?"

Soya was puzzled. Were systems all this lazy nowadays?

But he soon fell silent, thinking.

After learning that he'd transmigrated to the Dragon Ball World, where people could casually destroy planets, Soya understood one thing:

If he wanted to live happily in this world, he needed to become strong enough. Otherwise, he might not even live to see another sunrise.

Soya knew that perfectly well. He understood just what kind of world the Dragon Ball World was.

He wasn't exactly a dedicated Dragon Ball fan, but he knew the basics.

"Since this is the host's first time activating the system, you will receive a beginner's gift pack. Would you like to claim it now?"

The news made Soya's spirits rise.

"A beginner's gift pack. That sounds pretty good. I wonder what's inside.

"But since it's a beginner's gift pack, the contents probably aren't too impressive. It's likely just some basic stuff."

That was what Soya thought, drawing on his gaming experience.

Still, something was better than nothing.

So, although he wasn't expecting much, he chose to claim it anyway.

"Claim it! The beginner's gift pack!" Soya thought. The system responded at once.

An object shaped like a gift box appeared in Soya's mind.

Its name was the beginner's gift pack.

Without hesitation, Soya opened it.

A burst of golden light shot out. Even though it was only in his mind, it was still bright enough to blind him.

"Th-this is..."

"Super Saiyan?!"
