"Gu Xuan! Since we've finally run into each other, why don't we have a spar?
"There are so few Saiyans around, after all. Meeting like this must be fate. If you don't want to come to our party, then why don't we spar instead? What do you think?"
Son Goku, a battle maniac, looked at Gu Xuan with eager anticipation in his eyes.
For him, meeting a powerful fighter—especially someone as ridiculously strong as Gu Xuan—was incredibly exciting.
With Goku's personality, there was no way he'd pass up an opportunity like this.
"A spar?"
Gu Xuan looked down at Goku and smiled knowingly.
To be honest, he wasn't all that interested in sparring with Goku right now.
The reason was simple: he knew how strong he was.
More than anything, Goku was still too weak. At this point, his base battle power wasn't particularly high—probably only around 150 million.
Even after transforming into a Super Saiyan 3, he'd only reach about 60 billion.
Even with a further power-up, he definitely wouldn't exceed 100 billion.
But Gu Xuan's base strength had already reached a terrifying 100 billion. If he fought Goku now, he'd just be picking on him.
And Gu Xuan didn't want to beat up the protagonist he'd grown up watching on TV.
"I..."
Gu Xuan had just started to refuse, but after uttering a single word, he suddenly paused.
Because he remembered something.
Although my strength is far beyond Son Goku and the others', I have almost no combat experience. I've only just arrived in this world, so I lack that kind of experience.
Goku, on the other hand, is different. He might not be as strong as I am, but he has plenty of combat experience. In that case, this fight could be a learning opportunity for me.
At the very least, fighting Goku could help me improve!
Murmuring to himself, Gu Xuan made up his mind.
Maybe fighting him wouldn't be so bad.
Gu Xuan smiled.
"A spar? I think that should be fine!"
Gu Xuan looked at Goku and Vegeta.
"But this isn't a suitable place for a fight. We might hurt other people. How about we go out to the middle of the ocean? We'll be able to let loose there."
Gu Xuan spoke calmly. He was telling the truth.
At their level of strength, even the simplest movements could cause unimaginable damage.
If Goku and the others hadn't used the Dragon Balls to reinforce the Earth several times, it would have been reduced to nothing during their earlier battles.
After speaking, Gu Xuan turned into a streak of light and shot into the distance.
"Great!"
Goku was delighted. He hadn't expected Gu Xuan to accept his request.
"Friends, I'll be right back!"
Goku smiled at everyone. He was going to spar with Gu Xuan.
As soon as he finished speaking, Goku took off after him at great speed.
"Whoosh!"
Vegeta said nothing. After Gu Xuan and Goku had left, he merely clicked his tongue in disdain, then vanished in a blur and sped off in the same direction.
The people aboard the yacht were left behind.
They were all used to it by now.
Chi-Chi in particular had long since gotten used to Goku picking fights with people at the drop of a hat.
She went over to Bulma, who'd been left behind when Goku flew off, and invited everyone to continue the party.
In the middle of the ocean, countless kilometers away,
Gu Xuan, Goku, and Vegeta stood suspended in the air.
A tremendous aura radiated from each of them.
Of course, Gu Xuan's aura was by far the strongest.
As for who had the weakest aura, there was no need to say it. Even Vegeta was seething with frustration!
The three hovered in the air, their eyes fixed on one another. Nobody spoke; they simply locked onto each other's auras.
Vegeta was the weakest of the three, and under this pressure, he was the first to reach his limit.
But his pride made him grit his teeth and endure.
Veins bulged across his broad forehead. There was no way he'd admit defeat!
"Kakarot, since you're not making a move, let me take this fight!" Vegeta spoke first. He couldn't let Goku snatch every good opportunity for himself.
Vegeta broke the silence, his expression solemn as he looked at Gu Xuan.
"Vegeta, he's really strong. I'm worried you're no match for him."
Goku was only looking out for the prince.
Gu Xuan was far stronger than anyone Goku had ever encountered.
Even Goku himself looked serious when facing Gu Xuan. He didn't dare let his guard down for even a moment.
The pressure coming off him was simply too intense!
Goku knew full well that Gu Xuan could defeat him with ease. In fact, a casual blow would be enough to knock him down.
"Kakarot! Don't forget, I'm the Saiyan prince! Don't talk to me in that Low-Class Warrior's tone. Don't you think that's completely inappropriate?"
Vegeta replied coldly, rejecting Goku's well-meaning concern outright.
Goku was used to this and could only let Vegeta do as he pleased.
As soon as Vegeta finished speaking, he shot forward, charging straight at Gu Xuan.
He moved so fast that only afterimages remained.
"If you're that eager, then I'll start with you!" Gu Xuan had expected the prince's fiery temper.
Looking at Vegeta charging toward him, he didn't feel the slightest concern.
As far as he was concerned, even Goku wasn't much of a threat, let alone Vegeta, the perennial runner-up.
So Gu Xuan naturally didn't take him seriously.
He knew Vegeta was fairly strong, but that was all.
He was still nowhere near strong enough to satisfy Gu Xuan.
"Whoosh!"
Vegeta was incredibly fast. In the blink of an eye, he was right in front of Gu Xuan.
"Not bad speed, but it's still far too slow for me."
As Vegeta's Iron Fist came at him, just before it landed, Gu Xuan simply shifted aside and dodged the attack with ease.
"What!"
Vegeta froze. He hadn't expected Gu Xuan to evade his sudden attack so easily.
And he'd dodged it so effortlessly!
"Looks like I underestimated you a little!"
A proud smile tugged at Vegeta's lips. Although he was no longer as evil and brutal as he'd once been, the pride in his Saiyan blood remained.
"Looks like you underestimated me. In that case, I hope you can show me enough power to amaze me!"
Gu Xuan didn't take Vegeta's words to heart. He simply replied in an even tone.
"As you wish!"
Vegeta powered up, and his aura surged dramatically. Then he charged at Gu Xuan again!
