Background / History

Chen Ce is a transmigrator from Earth who arrives in wartime Ionia. After being found in a ruined village by Second Legion Commander Morse, he joins the Placidium Resistance Army and eventually becomes captain of the Second Legion’s Seventh Squad 11 2.

For two years, he survives the Noxian invasion while burdened by the Tencent Server System, whose rewards and requirements prove unreliable. Its demand that he repeatedly fight heroes leads him to spar with Irelia daily, developing his combat technique and physical conditioning despite routinely losing those matches 3.

After the Seventh Squad is annihilated and Chen Ce is nearly killed, the Taiwan Server System replaces the old system. He uses Meditation to recover and returns to the Placidium headquarters, where he resumes work under Irelia’s command 1 2.

Recruitment and the Underground Fighting Pit

Seeking allies and resources, Chen Ce travels with Ahri, intervenes in Yasuo and Yone’s conflict, and enters the Underground Fighting Pit for the Imero Stones. There he recruits Sett’s cooperation by helping him pursue the position of “Emperor” rather than serving the arena’s existing boss 20 29 35 36.

Ionian War Campaigns

Chen Ce uses his system-granted abilities against large Noxian formations, forms a local Gladiator Legion, and coordinates with the Resistance Army against alchemical warfare. He also works with Karma against Sion’s resurrection and the advancing Noxian forces 24 37 41.
