Zarbon's Death

Twenty minutes later.

"Zarbon, let's split up. Once we've shaken them off, we'll contact each other with our Scouters."

Leige said to Zarbon.

"Okay."

Zarbon replied.

After speaking, Zarbon flew north while Leige flew south.

"Lord Savik, the Scouter shows that Leige and Zarbon have split up."

A winged man with green skin said to Savik.

"Split up and pursue them. Geli, take your men after Leige. I'll take my men after Zarbon. Kill them as soon as you catch up."

Savik said to the winged man.

Savik had just used his Scouter to check Leige and Zarbon's power levels. Leige's was eight thousand, Zarbon's was twenty-three thousand, and Geli's was thirteen thousand. Geli was more than strong enough to deal with Leige, whose power level was only eight thousand, while Savik, with a power level of fifty thousand, was more than strong enough to handle Zarbon, whose power level was twenty-three thousand.

Ten minutes later.

"They really did split up to pursue me and Zarbon. Now I can take care of them without worrying!"

Leige said, looking at Geli and the others two hundred meters behind him.

Leige sped toward Geli and his men.

"Thump! Boom, boom, boom!"

Leige took out two Space Pirates with a pair of punches. Then he fired three energy blasts, taking out six more Space Pirates. In no time, he had dealt with all of them except for the eight Space Pirates Geli had brought with him.

"You're asking for it!" Geli shouted.

Geli charged at Leige, hoping to kill him with a single move.

"Thump!"

Leige quickly reached Geli and punched him, sending him flying.

"Die!" Leige shouted.

"Boom, boom, boom!"

As soon as he finished shouting, Leige fired dozens of energy blasts at Geli.

"Damn you! I'll kill you!" Geli shouted, covered in wounds.

"That depends on whether you've got what it takes."

Leige replied.

"Thump!"

Geli threw a punch at Leige, who blocked it with his hand. Then Leige immediately sent Geli flying with a Divine Dragon Tail Whip.

"You only have a power level of eight thousand, while mine is thirteen thousand. Why can't I beat you?"

Geli asked.

He had a power level five thousand higher than Leige's. So why couldn't he beat him?

"Whoosh! Boom!"

Leige fired an energy beam from his fingertip, destroying the Scouter Geli was wearing. He also turned off his own Scouter. Once it was off, its communication and listening functions were disabled too. That meant neither Zarbon nor Frieza's side would know what was happening where Leige was.

"You rely too much on your Scouter. What made you think a power level of eight thousand was my full strength?"

Leige said.

"Are you saying you've been hiding your true strength?" Geli asked.

"You don't need to know so much when you're about to die. You may as well die clueless."

Leige replied.

"Boom!"

Geli fired an energy blast straight at Leige.

"Splurt! Boom!"

Leige dodged the blast, quickly appeared behind Geli, and punched through his body. Then he fired an energy wave from his hand, reducing Geli to dust.

"Savik's probably already killed Zarbon."

Leige said.

After saying that, Leige turned his Scouter back on.

"Prince Leige, come save me!"

As soon as Leige switched on his Scouter, he heard Zarbon's cry for help.

"Zarbon, I can barely save myself right now. Look for a chance to escape. I'll try to contact our base."

Leige said.

"Okay."

Zarbon replied through his Scouter.

Since Leige couldn't save him, Zarbon would have to find a way to stay alive on his own.

"Base, come in. Base, come in."

Leige began trying to contact the base on Frieza Planet No. 2.

Five minutes later.

"This is the base. Is that you, Prince Leige?"

Someone at the base asked.

"It's me. Who is this?"

Leige asked.

"This is Tagoma, sir. Has something happened, Prince Leige?"

Tagoma asked.

"Zarbon and I were returning from Planet Vegeta when we were attacked by an unidentified fleet while passing through the Heka Galaxy. We've landed on Ice Flame Planet, and those people destroyed our spaceship. Send someone to pick us up as soon as possible. We're on Ice Flame Planet."

Leige said.

"Understood, Prince Leige. I'll report this to His Majesty right away. We'll send someone to pick you up as soon as possible."

Tagoma replied.

"Zarbon, you can't escape. Surrender and die!"

Savik said after catching up with Zarbon and having his men surround him.

"Savik, I serve King Frieza. If you dare lay a hand on me, King Frieza will wipe you out and avenge me."

Zarbon said.

"Hahaha! Our boss, Dige, isn't afraid of Frieza. Besides, we're working with King Cooler now, and King Cooler is much stronger than Frieza."

Savik replied.

"You really don't plan to let me go?"

Zarbon asked.

"I'm just doing a job for the money. Now die!"

Savik said.

"This form may be ugly, but I have no choice if I want to survive."

Zarbon said.

After speaking, Zarbon transformed.

"Your power level reached thirty-two thousand. Too bad you're still going to die."

Savik said.

"Thump, thump! Boom!"

Savik and Zarbon traded punches.

Five minutes later.

"Thump, thump!"

Savik punched Zarbon in the stomach, then landed another punch that sent him crashing to the ground.

"Thump!"

Zarbon flew into the air and continued fighting Savik.

"Splurt!"

Savik gathered energy in his palm, forming a Ki Blade, and sliced Zarbon in half.

"Our Scouters have a listening function. Our base already knows what happened here. King Frieza will never let you get away with this."

Zarbon said.

After saying that, Zarbon went to report to Yama.

"I was going to play with you a little longer, but you're too weak."

Savik said, looking at Zarbon's lifeless body.

"Strange. Why did Geli and the others' power levels disappear? Did that Leige kill Geli?"

Savik said when he couldn't detect Geli's power level on his Scouter.

After saying that, Savik led his men toward the direction where the Scouter showed Leige was.

"Looks like Zarbon's dead."

Leige thought as he looked at the Scouter, which showed Savik fifty kilometers away.

"Prince Leige, His Majesty says we're leaving to pick you up now. Hold on. We'll reach Ice Flame Planet in three days."

Tagoma contacted Leige.

"Is Zarbon dead?"

Leige asked.

"Yes. We just received word that Zarbon is dead. We're on our way to pick you up now. You have to hold on until we get there."

Tagoma said.

"Don't blame me for not saving you, Zarbon. It wouldn't have been easy to get you to switch sides, and even if you had joined me, I still wouldn't have been able to trust you. So you had to die."

Leige said after turning off his Scouter.
