Janembuu Was Destroyed, but Goten Disappeared

"How fast! I can't see their movements at all," Vegeta said in amazement, staring up at the sky. Aside from the spatial tremors caused whenever Son Goten and Janembuu collided, he couldn't see a thing. Super Saiyan 4 and Super Saiyan 3 were on completely different levels, even though Vegeta could temporarily match Super Saiyan 3 in a head-on fight.

"Goten's amazing!" Son Goku exclaimed happily as he watched the battle on the television, which showed the fight on Earth.

"So this is Super Saiyan 4! He's practically invincible!" Grand King Kai couldn't help exclaiming as he watched Son Goten fight. A glint flashed beneath his sunglasses. Son Goten's power as a Super Saiyan 4 was far beyond Son Goku's Super Saiyan 3—by an unimaginable margin.

"Boom."

"Boom."

"Boom."

As the battle went on, both fighters unleashed more and more of their power, and the surrounding space began to show signs of collapse.

Janemba formed a deep purple energy disc in each hand, then flung them at Son Goten.

"Holy crap!"

Son Goten was startled. His body turned into a streak of light as he sped off into the distance, dodging the energy discs chasing him. This move came from Frieza, who had stolen Krillin's Destructo Disc. It wasn't much use against Buu, but against Son Goten, it was a huge problem. No matter how powerful you were, one hit from a Destructo Disc would finish you.

Looking at the energy discs hot on his heels, Son Goten grew frantic. Janembuu was clearly trying to wear down his stamina. Once he ran out of energy, he'd be done for.

Son Goten gritted his teeth and focused his ki in his fists. He threw two punches, smashing the energy discs to pieces like glass.

"??" Janembuu was dumbfounded. What the hell? You could do that?

"Twan."

Golden flames of ki flared around Son Goten again. He shot toward Janembuu like an arrow loosed from a bow.

"Bam."

Son Goten punched Janembuu in the face while he was still reeling, then followed up with several more blows.

What the hell? He wasn't playing by the rules! Janembuu snapped out of it and resumed his fierce battle with Son Goten.

"Boom."

"Boom."

"Boom."

This time, they were both fighting in earnest. They didn't care about anything else, throwing nearly every punch straight at the other's face.

"Crack, crack."

Both fighters unleashed their full power. The shockwaves from their collisions spread out, shattering space.

"Bam."

"Whoosh."

"Whoosh."

After knocking Son Goten away, Janembuu pointed at him with one finger. A wicked smile tugged at his lips, and then a red energy beam shot from his fingertip toward Son Goten.

"Holy crap!"

Son Goten's expression changed in alarm. He swayed from side to side, dodging the incoming beams.

The move came from Frieza. It seemed unimpressive, but it was fast and highly penetrative, making it difficult to defend against. Vegeta had once died to this very attack from Frieza.

"Whoosh."

"Boom."

Son Goten appeared in front of Janembuu as if by teleportation and punched him away.

"Ptooey." Janembuu spat out a mouthful of blood and glared at Son Goten with venomous eyes. Then the corners of his lips lifted into a wicked smile, and he struck a pose everyone knew all too well.

Janembuu let out a soft breath and brought his hands together at his waist, palms cupped like a flower.

"Kame—"

"—hame—"

Janembuu's sinister, doubled voice rang out across the land, making everyone's expressions change.

"Kamehameha! Why does he know the Kamehameha..." Son Gohan stared at Janembuu's all-too-familiar stance in disbelief.

"Looks like he learned it after absorbing Cell," Vegeta said calmly. What he really thought was anyone's guess...

"Ten times—"

"Kame—"

"—hame—"

"What?!" everyone shouted at once.

Everyone was dumbfounded.

"Ha—" both of them shouted.

"Me—" both of them shouted.

They shouted the final two words together, and energy spheres formed in their hands. Janembuu's Kamehameha was dark blue, while Son Goten's was crimson. The two spheres hadn't even been launched yet, but their terrifying power already set the surrounding air trembling.

The world split into two colors between them: Janembuu's dark blue on one side and Son Goten's scarlet red on the other.

"Gulp," someone swallowed.

"Go!" they both shouted.

They pushed the energy they'd gathered forward at the same time. The terrifying blasts collided between them, forming a mass of energy that was half dark blue and half crimson. Their powers entered a tug-of-war, neither willing to yield.

"Raaah!"

Son Goten frantically squeezed every last bit of energy from his body. Bit by bit, the energy sphere pushed toward Janembuu.

Janembuu increased his energy output at the same time, but it was no use. The energy continued to inch back toward him.

"Crack, crack."

The surrounding space crumbled more and more under the impact of their two overwhelming powers. Their energy was even affecting the world's barrier, but neither of them noticed, and both continued pouring out more power.

"Aaaah!!"

The energy struck Janembuu, slowly erasing him beneath the combined force of both blasts. Son Goten shouted, "Remember this, Janembuu! Never have a beam struggle with a Saiyan named Son!"

In the end, Janembuu was swallowed by the energy and utterly destroyed!

"Crack, crack, crack."

"Aaaah."

Unable to withstand the pressure of this power, the world's barrier shattered. Even worse, the break appeared right beside Son Goten. And so, in a stroke of terrible luck, Son Goten was sucked into the shattered space.

"Goten!" everyone cried out.

They shouted in alarm, trying to warn Son Goten, but he had already been sucked in after exhausting his strength, disappearing from this world...
