After carrying the little ones home, Fei Shi started cooking for them.
Kakashi and Might Guy had come along, too. They'd tasted Fei Shi's cooking before, and of course they weren't about to pass up a free meal.
Half an hour later, all four little ones woke up and started eating as soon as they saw the food.
Fei Shi also explained Conqueror's Haki to them.
In the days that followed, the four little ones trained like mad to master Haki, while Kakashi and Might Guy had already started training with Fei Shi.
Fei Shi used the system to implant Three-Color Haki in their bodies. Whether they could master it depended on their talent and hard work.
Day after day passed, and time slipped by. Before they knew it, two years had gone by.
The four little ones had started learning Haki a year earlier.
Naruto was the best at Armament Haki. It took him two months to master it, while Neji came second in two and a half months, Sasuke third in three months, and Hinata fourth in four and a half months.
As for Observation Haki, Neji and Sasuke tied for first place at three months, Hinata came second at five months, and Naruto took eight months.
Even Kurama in the sealing space couldn't bear to watch.
Kakashi and Might Guy, who had started learning alongside them, were a different story.
After only a month of learning, Kakashi mastered Observation Haki, and after two months, he mastered Armament Haki.
Might Guy gained an initial understanding of Armament Haki in twenty days and mastered Observation Haki in two and a half months.
Fei Shi could imagine that before long, the two of them would become Konoha's dreaded duo.
Kakashi and Guy could now cover their weapons and two-thirds of their bodies with Armament Haki. Their progress was astonishingly fast.
The four little ones were a bit slower, except for Naruto. His Armament Haki kept steadily growing stronger, unlike Sasuke, Neji, and Hinata's, which had shown little progress.
Lying back in his chair with a girl in his arms, he enjoyed the moonlit view.
But who could have imagined that a massacre would take place on such a beautiful night?

A figure landed in a tree and waited quietly for instructions.
"Ah... The day has finally come. Yugao, go inside and get some rest. I'll be back soon. Mwah!"
Yugao Uzuki ran off, blushing.
"All right, tell me. Have you made all the preparations?"
"Yes, everything's ready. That White Zetsu creature you mentioned has taken on the appearance of one of the people who need to be evacuated."
"Good."
Fei Shi closed his eyes. After a moment, he slowly opened them, revealing a pair of Rinnegan.
"I told you, didn't I? You'd be the one to raise the blade against the Uchiha in the end. So, have you seen Danzo?"
Itachi Uchiha said nothing, remembering the days he had spent going back and forth between the village and the Uchiha.
He had watched the Uchiha take one step after another toward their deaths. He had tried to stop them, but there was nothing he could do. Unless the hardliners were dealt with, the other Uchiha wouldn't come to their senses. The Uchiha Clan was full of people who were stubborn, arrogant, and conceited, with a baffling faith in their Sharingan.
He thought of the hardliners' attempted rebellion, Danzo threatening Sasuke's life, and the helplessness in his father's eyes.
He had made up his mind to find new life through death.
To fool Danzo, the number of bodies had to match.
So Fei Shi had sought out the White Zetsu wandering around Konoha.
How could Black Zetsu not have stationed White Zetsu in Konoha to watch Fei Shi and Naruto, the Nine-Tails Jinchuriki?
Then Fei Shi had Itachi use Shisui's Mangekyō Sharingan—Kotoamatsukami—to control one of the White Zetsu. That White Zetsu had gradually led the others over.
Fei Shi had tossed them all into System Space, then taken control of them after awakening the Rinnegan.
Now, hundreds of White Zetsu had taken on the appearances of the people who needed to be evacuated. Every last noncombatant, from children to the elderly, would be taken away. Minato Namikaze was also in position, ready to use the Flying Thunder God to evacuate the Uchiha at any moment. Those who advocated breaking with Konoha and launching a rebellion had all been marked for death.
It was difficult to detect a White Zetsu's transformation with anything other than the Nine-Tails' Good-Evil Sensing. And with Fei Shi's Rinnegan casting a genjutsu on top of that, they could easily deceive everyone.
The only one who might have seen through it all, Black Zetsu, was being kept so busy by Fei Shi's Wood Release clones that he was at his wits' end. Fei Shi's clones were cutting down every White Zetsu in the Land of Fire and the Land of Wind like blades of grass, and Black Zetsu was investigating the cause.
That left Danzo and Obito, neither of whom could see through a genjutsu cast by the Rinnegan.
Let us... mourn the Uchiha.
The strongest clan in Konoha, and even the Ninja World, had withdrawn from the stage of the Ninja World, retreating into the shadows.
Fei Shi maintained the genjutsu as he walked past Obito, who was slaughtering the Uchiha at that very moment. Obito didn't notice a thing.
The other clones were also spread throughout the Uchiha Clan Compound, casting genjutsu. Everyone had fallen under its spell.
Fei Shi looked at Obito and sneered, his eyes full of contempt.
Obito found Itachi and told him he was Madara Uchiha. He said he had wronged Fei Shi's grandmother and father because of his own goals, and that was why he had never been able to face Fei Shi. Then he went on and on about Fei Shi, trying to persuade Itachi to join him. With him around, Fei Shi wouldn't stand in their way, and so on.
Little did he know, this was all part of Fei Shi and Itachi's plan. They wanted Itachi to join the Akatsuki, just as he had in the original story. From within the Akatsuki, Itachi would provide intelligence to Minato Namikaze and the others, leading to the situation where Obito helped Itachi massacre the Uchiha.
But now, those who deserved to die were dead, and the innocent had been evacuated by Minato Namikaze.
He had just seen Jiraiya join in, too.
Fei Shi came to stand beside Itachi and watched him cut down one "clan member" after another.
Fei Shi had moved everyone who needed to be killed over to Obito's side. After all, Obito had indirectly killed his master, murdered his master's wife, and "embraced" his junior, Naruto. Making him even more of a villain wouldn't matter.
One head after another hit the ground, and Itachi finally reached his home, where his parents waited.
Fei Shi cast several Fire Release Ninjutsu, setting many houses ablaze. Only the clan leader's house remained untouched.
"It seems you've made your decision."
Itachi said nothing. Nearly a hundred clan members, perhaps more, would die tonight. He had taken part in all these plans, and he felt ashamed.
"What did those old men say?"
"I'll do it myself... They'll spare Sasuke. Sasuke will... be the one to carry on the Uchiha's honor."
"Ah. If that's your decision, then as your father, I'll honor it. If the clan had been more clearheaded, we wouldn't have brought this disaster upon ourselves... Go ahead, Itachi! No matter what, you'll always be my pride... It's just a shame about those innocent clan members."
"Father, Mother... Get some good sleep."
"Thud!"
Itachi took out two blunt weapons and knocked his parents unconscious. Then he drew a specially made kunai and channeled chakra into it.
