"Did your teammates throw you under the bus too?" Serval asked cautiously.
"I don't think so."
Yan Huan rubbed his chin, figuring there was no need for those two to show his picture to the Supreme Guardian.
"That makes things easier," Serval suggested. "Just pretend you don't know them, and the problem's solved."
Serval slung an arm around Yan Huan's shoulders, talking freely without a care. "From what I know of the Supreme Guardian, your teammates will be hunted down for various reasons within two days. You can help them from the sidelines then."
"Big sis, that's brilliant!" Yan Huan gave her a thumbs-up.
Serval asked:
"Are you guys really confident you can fix the snow disaster on this planet?"
Yan Huan pondered:
"It's hard to say, but once we deal with the Stellaron, the situation won't get any worse. Most of this planet is covered in ice and snow. Even if it starts melting, it'll take a long time."
Serval patted Yan Huan's shoulder, praising him. "It's fine, as long as it doesn't get worse. If this snow keeps falling, Belobog won't be far from ruin."
"Brother Yan Huan, want me to lend a hand?"
Yan Huan raised an eyebrow. "Oh?"
Upper Level.
Administrative District Plaza.
March 7th and Dan Heng had just emerged from the Clipper Palace.
Accompanying them the entire way was Gepard, a guardian of the Silvermane Guards.
"I have some other important matters to attend to, so I won't be accompanying you two any further."
March 7th politely replied:
"It's okay, Gepard, you go ahead and be busy. We can explore on our own."
Gepard smiled:
"Alright, then I'll take my leave."
Gepard turned to leave.
After walking a short distance, he saw Serval approaching with a man in black.
"Sister?" Gepard asked, confused.
"Hi, little brother," Serval waved.
"And the person next to you is...?"
Following her gaze, he saw a man dressed in a black coat, with a detached expression, appearing quite enigmatic.
"Oh, this is an old friend of mine, a reclusive physician. You can just call him Yan Huan. He lives in seclusion deep in the snowfields and just returned to Belobog today."
"What."
Gepard stepped closer, scrutinizing Yan Huan with suspicion.
"I've only heard of one reclusive physician in the snowfields, but their name isn't this."
Serval said awkwardly, "He's from the same sect, but he's quite low-key, so it's normal you don't know him. He's only come into the city because he's made a breakthrough in his medical research and wants to return to benefit the people. You mustn't speak ill of his good intentions."
"Oh, right," Serval added. "When he entered the city today, he also treated a hidden ailment for one of your Silvermane Guards. You can ask them if you don't believe me."
"Uh, really?"
Hearing this, Gepard's doubts were dispelled.
He then turned to Yan Huan and expressed his gratitude:
"Mr. Yan Huan, thank you for everything you've done for the Silvermane Guards. It's quite a bother for you, especially since you've just returned to Belobog."
Yan Huan waved his hand:
"No need for thanks. If I hadn't treated them, I might not have been able to get in."
Gepard: "?"
"Hey!" Serval lightly hit Yan Huan on the head. "What are you talking about?"
"Hahaha... Little brother, he just loves to joke around. Please don't mind him," Serval said with an awkward laugh.
March 7th and Dan Heng, observing from a distance, also noticed the situation.
March 7th stood with her arms crossed, silently staring at the three people conversing:
"Isn't that Yan Huan? Why didn't he meet up with us and instead started chatting with Gepard? And who's that older sister next to him?"
Dan Heng also noticed:
"I'm not sure, but Yan Huan must have his reasons for doing this. Let's wait for now."
Serval spent a long time explaining before Gepard finally believed that Yan Huan was indeed a reclusive physician of Belobog.
And so, his status as a local was cemented.
"By the way, Sister, two people from outside the planet came today. They've already met with the Supreme Guardian," Gepard said seriously.
"Oh, really?" Serval feigned ignorance. "People still come from outside these days? Do you know what they're here for?"
Gepard nodded.
"Yes, it's said... they're here to save this planet."
"That's a good thing, isn't it?"
Serval smiled.
"It should be a good thing. More strength, more hope."
Gepard nodded.
"Yes, let's hope so."
Afterward, Gepard, as the Silvermane Guards' garrison officer, departed.
Serval patted Yan Huan's shoulder and reassured him, "Once you've passed my little brother's test, your status in Belobog is secure. Just wait a couple of days and see how things develop. If you need anything, come find me at my workshop."
"Alright, Sister, you're truly righteous!" Yan Huan praised.
"Oh, please, I don't deserve such praise," Serval waved her hand dismissively. "Your two teammates are already gone. You're Belobog's last hope. Honestly, I'd rather bet on you than trust Cocolia."
After seeing off the elder sister Serval, March 7th and Dan Heng caught up.
"Yan Huan, what were you talking about with them just now?" Dan Heng asked curiously.
"Nothing much, just discussing how to save this planet. By the way, does the Supreme Guardian know about me?"
March 7th tilted her chin up and scoffed.
"Hmph, it's your fault for being so slow. I didn't mention you at all."
Yan Huan's eyes lit up. "Really? You're surprisingly kind."
Dan Heng comforted him, "It's okay, we can introduce you to the Supreme Guardian later."
March 7th put on a stern face and said disdainfully, "Tch, that's for later. We're VIPs right now, you know? The Goethe Hotel! Cocolia even booked us the most luxurious rooms there!"
Yan Huan clapped repeatedly. "Amazing, amazing! You guys are too awesome, Third Sister! Then I should definitely stay away from the Goethe Hotel."
March 7th asked in confusion, "Huh? Why?"
Yan Huan said excitedly, "Nothing, I'll bless you all. You must stay strong!"
With that, Yan Huan ran off.
It seemed he didn't want more people to see him associating with March 7th and the others.
"Tch, he's just jealous," March 7th spread her hands dismissively.
"Dan Heng, let's go to the Goethe Hotel, have a good meal, and then take pictures for Yan Huan so he can see the dishes from a VIP banquet. Hahaha."
Dan Heng nodded without saying much.
But something felt a bit off.
Meanwhile, Yan Huan sat on a bench in the administrative district plaza. He patted his pockets and found that he had finished his Furong Wang.
"Ah, I'm out of cigarettes."
Yan Huan frowned.
He wanted to smoke and ask the passersby about the current situation in Belobog.
Just then.
A graceful figure stopped in front of him.
The girl was gorgeously dressed, with a delicate face, exuding elegance and style.
Her silvery-white curly hair was tied into three strands at the back.
"Three Turbos Duck?!"
Yan Huan looked up sharply, realizing the visitor was Bronya.
The girl seemed to be in a bad mood, but she still asked Yan Huan, "Who are you? I don't think I've ever seen you before."
Yan Huan's eyes widened. "No, I mean, isn't it normal that you haven't seen me? There are so many people here, do you remember everyone's face?"
"Mhm, I remember it all."
"..."
"So, who are you?"
"..."
"Please answer my question."
"This all started on a cold winter's night. Have you ever heard of Furong Wang? Adults and children alike love to puff on it."
