Background / History

After becoming the sixth Pope, Qian Cheng brought Martial Soul Hall to an era in which his was the continent's sole dominant voice. At peak level 99, he was capable of ascending through faith power, but concluded that the desires and prayers underlying faith were too impure to endure. He instead chose the more demanding path of laws, specifically the Chaos Law. 1

With his system's aid, he sealed himself in a coffin and entered a semi-conscious cultivation state. His disappearance was recorded by the Qian family as a disappearance rather than a death. He awakened in a later era when Qian Renxue prayed at the wrong ancestral grave, finding Martial Soul Hall weakened and Qian Xunji dead. 1 2

Qian Cheng resumed authority over Martial Soul Hall as Pope and quickly began retaliating against factions connected to Qian Xunji's death and the Hall's decline. His campaigns included the destruction of the Clear Sky Sect, the Strength Clan, and other hostile forces, while he also forced territorial concessions from the Heaven Dou Empire. 24 33 41 42
