Two Bodyguards

Immediately afterward, Vegeta sped toward Bulma's house.

Nappa and Raditz exchanged a glance. Although they had no idea what Vegeta wanted them to do, they were his subjects, after all, and could only follow behind him.

On the way, Nappa asked in puzzlement, "By the way, Your Highness, I heard Dodoria is already on his way to Earth. Let's leave now, before he gets here."

"He's already been here," Vegeta said with a smile.

"He's been here? Where is he?" Nappa was startled.

"He's already been sent packing," Vegeta replied.

"Huh? Dodoria left? He... he didn't harm you, did he, Your Highness?" Nappa froze in shock for a moment before asking.

"By 'sent packing,' I meant he's been sent straight to Hell," Vegeta said with a soft chuckle.

"Dead? Dodoria's dead?" Nappa was utterly stunned. Dodoria was so powerful, and he was one of Frieza's men, too. Yet he had actually died?

"Enough. Stop asking pointless questions," Vegeta said impatiently.

Nappa and Raditz exchanged a glance and said nothing more.

When Vegeta stopped above a large compound, Nappa tried to guess what he had in mind and said with a grin, "Your Highness, you brought us here to wipe this place out, right? Heh heh, leave it to me. I'll turn them all to dust in an instant!"

As he spoke, light flared in Nappa's hand as he prepared to unleash a massive energy blast on the Capsule Corporation.

"Were you dropped on your head?" Furious, Vegeta lashed out with his tail, sending Nappa flying a hundred meters.

Nappa froze, staring at Vegeta in confusion.

"Use your brain before you act, you idiot!" Vegeta glared fiercely at Nappa. "Now come down with me. Try anything else, and I'll kill you!"

Hearing Vegeta's words, Nappa trembled all over and hastily begged for mercy.

Vegeta couldn't be bothered to argue with him. After landing, he went to the laboratory and found Dr. Brief.

"Little Bei, how's the search for the Dragon Balls going?" Dr. Brief asked with a smile. "Oh? Who are these two? They're from the same place as you, aren't they?"

Nappa and Raditz were both wearing the Saiyans' stretchy armor, so Dr. Brief had good reason to say that.

Vegeta's armor, however, had been shattered during his last fight with Dodoria, so he had changed into Earth clothes.

"That's right, Dr. Brief. They're from my homeworld and came here to join me. You wouldn't mind letting them stay, would you?" Vegeta asked with a smile.

"Not at all. Our house is so big, they're welcome to stay," Dr. Brief agreed with a nod.

Nappa and Raditz's eyes widened. They couldn't understand why the young prince was being so respectful to someone with a power level of only five.

After getting Dr. Brief's permission, Vegeta called Nappa and Raditz outside and asked coldly, "Are you two planning to follow me from now on?"

Both nodded.

"Good. If you're going to follow me, you'll have to obey my orders from now on. Understood?" Vegeta said sternly.

"Your Highness, we will obey your orders!" they both replied.

"Starting today, this is your home. Don't hurt anyone in this household. You're to keep them safe!" Vegeta said.

Those words left Nappa and Raditz looking even more bewildered. So they had ended up becoming this family's bodyguards.
