Two Bodyguards

Following this, Vegeta sped off toward Bulma's home.

Nappa and Raditz exchanged a glance. Though they didn't know what Vegeta intended for them to do, they were his subjects after all, so they had no choice but to follow.

On the way, Nappa asked with some curiosity, "By the way, Your Highness, I heard Dodoria is already heading toward Earth. While he hasn't arrived yet, shouldn't we leave quickly?"

"He has already been here," Vegeta smiled.

"He has? Where is he now?" Nappa was quite startled.

"He's already cleared off," Vegeta said.

"Huh? Dodoria left? He... he didn't do anything to Your Highness, did he?" Nappa was stunned for a moment before asking back.

"When I say he cleared off, I mean he's already rolled off to Hell," Vegeta chuckled.

"Dead? Dodoria is dead?" Nappa couldn't have been more shocked. A figure as formidable as Dodoria, and Frieza's lackey at that—he was actually dead?

"Enough, don't ask useless questions," Vegeta said impatiently.

Nappa and Raditz looked at each other and said nothing more.

Seeing Vegeta stop in the air above a large compound, Nappa tried to guess his intentions and said with a grin, "Your Highness brought us here to wipe this place out, right? Heh heh, leave this to me; I'll turn them into dust in an instant!"

As he spoke, flames of energy flickered in Nappa's hand, and he prepared to unleash a massive energy blast at Capsule Corporation.

"Did your brain get caught in a door?" Vegeta was furious. He lashed out with his tail, sending Nappa flying a hundred meters away in an instant.

Nappa froze, looking at Vegeta in confusion.

"Use your head when you do things, you idiot!" Vegeta glared at him fiercely. "Fine, come down with me. If you dare act recklessly again, watch out, or I'll finish you off!"

Hearing such words from Vegeta, Nappa trembled all over and hurriedly begged for mercy.

Vegeta couldn't be bothered to argue with this guy. After landing, he went to the laboratory and found Dr. Brief.

"Little Bei, how is the search for the Dragon Balls going?" Dr. Brief asked with a smile. "Oh? And who are these two? They're from the same place as you, aren't they?"

Nappa and Raditz were both wearing the elastic armor typical of Saiyans, so Dr. Brief had his reasons for saying that.

As for Vegeta, his armor had been shattered during his last battle with Dodoria, so he had changed into Earth clothing.

"That's right, Dr. Brief. They are my countrymen who have come here to seek refuge with me. You don't mind if I keep them here, do you?" Vegeta asked with a smile.

"It's no problem at all. Our place is so big, they can stay wherever they like," Dr. Brief nodded in agreement.

Nappa and Raditz widened their eyes in disbelief. They were baffled as to why their little prince would be so respectful toward a guy with a combat power of only five.

After getting Dr. Brief's consent, Vegeta called Nappa and Raditz outside and asked with a cold face, "Do you two intend to follow me from now on?"

Both men nodded.

"Good. Since you're following me, you must obey my orders from here on out. Is that understood?" Vegeta said in a deep voice.

"Your Highness, we will obey your orders!" the two replied.

"From today on, this place is your home. Do not harm anyone in this house; you are to protect their safety!" Vegeta commanded.

These words left Nappa and Raditz even more stunned. It turned out they had become bodyguards for this family.
