Deliberately feigning weakness

It seemed his regeneration was still quite slow.

After all, Majin Buu could regenerate in an instant.

Still, having regeneration was better than not having it at all. For now, Vegeta was fairly satisfied.

A day later, Vegeta emerged from the Gravity Training Room, and the moment he appeared, the Saiyans burst into cheers.

Vegeta merely smiled faintly. Even stronger enemies awaited him, and he could not afford to slack off over this.

When King Vegeta learned that his son had fully recovered in just one day, he was astonished beyond words.

Others might not have known, but he clearly remembered that his son had never visited the treatment room. He had simply spent a day and a night in the Gravity Training Room, and his body had healed.

That enormous, bloody hole had pierced his lung, yet he had actually recovered on his own?

King Vegeta simply could not believe it.

After a long silence, King Vegeta called Nappa.

"Nappa, are you back yet?" King Vegeta asked.

"King Vegeta, we're on our way. We'll reach Planet Vegeta in two hours," Nappa replied.

"Good. I'll be waiting for you at the palace," King Vegeta said.

The two hours passed quickly, and Nappa and Raditz's spaceship finally arrived safely.

Sensing Nappa and Raditz's energy, Vegeta furrowed his brow and shot off with a whoosh. A moment later, he stood before them.

Seeing Vegeta suddenly appear before them, Nappa and Raditz trembled all over and hurriedly bowed in greeting.

"Why are you back? Didn't I tell you to protect Dr. Brief and his family?" Vegeta demanded coldly.

"Your Highness, King Vegeta ordered us to return..." Nappa answered shakily. "But rest assured, Your Highness. Dr. Brief and his family are safe. Before we left, we made a point of infusing energy into a robot we'd built for them. As long as no powerful enemy shows up, no one will be able to hurt them."

Only then did Vegeta relax. Since Bulma and her family were safe, he would not blame these two.

Waving a hand, Vegeta dismissed Nappa and Raditz and went off to wander around on his own.

Training alone would not rapidly increase his power level. Instead, it could strain his body, and Vegeta knew this too.

Now that he had overcome three hundred times normal gravity, he needed to spend the next few days resting properly and let his body fully adjust.

He believed Frieza would arrive soon for the battle nine days from now.

Vegeta was even considering whether he could move the battlefield to another planet to spare Planet Vegeta from devastation.

Meanwhile, Nappa and Raditz had arrived at the palace and met with King Vegeta.

"Tell me, what exactly happened to you on Earth?" King Vegeta asked.

Nappa and Raditz dared not delay. They told King Vegeta everything they had witnessed on Earth, leaving out nothing.

After patiently hearing them out, King Vegeta shook his head, unable to make sense of it either.

One detail, however, caught his attention.

"You said a long dragon appeared in the sky, and then the sky suddenly went dark?" King Vegeta asked again.

"Yes. Even Ginyu and the others were shocked at the time. And after that long dragon disappeared, His Highness suddenly stopped dodging," Nappa explained.

"Who else knows about this besides you two?" King Vegeta's expression suddenly turned icy.

Seeing his expression, Nappa and Raditz were so frightened that they immediately dropped to their knees.

"Speak!" King Vegeta barked.

"No one else... King Vegeta, we won't tell anyone!" Nappa repeatedly knocked his forehead against the floor. He knew King Vegeta intended to kill them to keep them silent.
