"Insufficient medical equipment?"
Lin Chen frowned.
After Hanasia left, Bardock finally explained the reason he had stayed behind.
According to him, all Saiyans had begun training using the new methods Lin Chen provided, but as a result, some new problems had started to emerge.
The most critical issue was that the number of medical machines on Planet Vegeta was becoming insufficient.
Saiyans did not develop technology in the past; many of the high-tech devices on their planet were things they had seized from other aliens or obtained through trade.
When they were still subservient to Frieza, he had once sent the Saiyans three medical machines—the same high-tech devices that had healed Son Goku on Namek in the original story.
However, there were only three such devices in total, while the number of Saiyans on the entire planet reached into the thousands. Clearly, it was not enough.
The training method Lin Chen gave the Saiyans was an improved program he had synthesized from the training methods of Goku and Vegeta in the original story, with the primary goal of constantly pushing the Saiyans to their physical limits.
This type of training naturally made it very easy to get injured.
If there were enough medical machines, it wouldn't be much of a problem, but since the Saiyans were clearly lacking them, many were unable to receive timely treatment, which delayed their training progress.
"This was my oversight..."
Lin Chen nodded, realizing there was a flaw in his plan.
Upon hearing this, Bardock quickly said, "Your Majesty, do not worry. I can immediately send people to search for civilizations that possess medical machine technology. If that fails, we can even raid Frieza's planets to seize some..."
Lin Chen shook his head. "No, we don't need just a few or a few dozen machines; we need at least hundreds or thousands... Leave this matter to me."
Hearing this, Bardock nodded and said, "Very well."
Not long after parting ways with Bardock, Lin Chen used his Instant Transmission ability to appear on Earth.
Hanasia, dressed in a combat suit, followed closely by his side, wearing a scouter on her face.
As Lin Chen's newly wedded consort, Hanasia clung to him tightly; upon hearing he was going to another planet, she insisted on coming along.
"Your Majesty, is this Earth? The gravity here is so low!"
"Yes, this is Earth..."
Lin Chen looked at the familiar yet somewhat strange surroundings, feeling a wave of emotion.
This was his first time coming to Earth since he arrived in the Dragon Ball world.
Perhaps because he had been reincarnated as a Saiyan in this life, Lin Chen no longer felt much attachment to Earth.
But this place was, after all, the center of the plot in the entire Dragon Ball world and an indispensable link in Lin Chen's future Saiyan Empire plan.
As one could tell from the original story, hybrids of Saiyans and Earthlings were naturally more powerful than pure-blooded Saiyans.
Therefore, Lin Chen had long planned to have the two planets formally establish contact at some point in the future.
He hadn't expected that this time, because of the medical equipment, he would move up his trip to Earth.
Although Earth was mocked as a primitive planet by the Saiyan Raditz in the original story, the level of civilization on this planet actually far exceeded the Saiyans' imagination.
Moreover, there were many genius inventors on this planet.
The person Lin Chen wanted to find this time was the great inventor Dr. Brief, located in West City.
He was also the father of Bulma, the most important female character in the Dragon Ball world.
The medical machines the Saiyans desperately needed now all depended on him.
The next moment, Lin Chen took Hanasia and flew toward West City.
Dr. Brief was not only a genius but also the founder of Capsule Corporation.
His status was similar to that of Edison in Lin Chen's original world; he was not only a world-renowned scientist but also a super-wealthy boss.
Because of this, after flying over West City, it didn't take Lin Chen much effort to find Dr. Brief's home.
Their house was the largest building in all of West City, and it was easy to spot with the Capsule Corporation logo on the roof.
After landing, just as Lin Chen was about to knock on the door, he suddenly heard crying coming from inside Dr. Brief's house.
"Don't be afraid, don't be afraid, Bulma! Honey, watch over Bulma for me!"
"Alright, dear."
At this moment, inside Dr. Brief's home, Dr. Brief was standing in front of his wife and daughter, spreading his arms to protect them.
And in front of the three of them, an old man leaning on a cane stood there, leading three monsters that looked similar to Saibamen.
Nearby, several Capsule Corporation security guards lay on the ground.
The old man sneered and said, "Alright, Dr. Brief, as long as you come with us obediently, we won't hurt anyone. Not only that, we will also return your other daughter to you!"
"The other one... Tights? You captured Tights?" Dr. Brief exclaimed upon hearing this.
"That's right, make your choice quickly! Dr. Wheelo is waiting for us!" The old man tapped his cane against the floor.
But just at this moment, a voice sounded from the side.
"Sorry, Dr. Brief cannot go with you."
"Who?"
The old man turned his head to see a man and a woman walking in. He did not recognize these two, who were dressed in strange, armor-like clothing.
"Honey, are they friends of yours?" Mrs. Brief asked, looking puzzled.
"No, I don't know them!" Dr. Brief shook his head, looking just as bewildered.
What was going on today?
Not only had Dr. Kochin, the assistant to the long-vanished Dr. Wheelo, suddenly popped up claiming that Dr. Wheelo wanted to see him, but now two strangers he had never seen before had appeared as well.
Behind Mrs. Brief, a little girl with twin tails poked her head out, looking at the two strangers with curiosity.
The person who had intruded upon the scene was, naturally, Lin Chen.
Glancing roughly over the scene, Lin Chen immediately grasped the situation.
He also recognized exactly who the person trying to take Dr. Brief away was.
If he remembered correctly, this person should be Dr. Kochin, the assistant to Dr. Wheelo from one of the Dragon Ball movies.
This Dr. Wheelo was known in the Dragon Ball world as one of the three top scientists in the human world, alongside Dr. Brief and Dr. Gero of the Red Ribbon Army, and was a master of biotechnology.
In that movie, Dr. Wheelo had sought to possess the body of the strongest person in the world in order to resurrect himself, only to be defeated by Son Goku's Spirit Bomb.
He hadn't expected Dr. Kochin, the assistant to Dr. Wheelo, to appear several years ahead of schedule, and to show up right here in Dr. Brief's home.
