Countless aliens clad in Battle Suits poured out of the spaceships.
They were all warriors under the great pirate Pegan, who had plundered over a hundred planets.
Every last one of them was a ruthless villain.
The force of nearly a hundred formed ranks in front of their spaceship, waiting for Lin Chen to approach.
It didn't take long for Lin Chen to fly up before them and face them down.
"So the Saiyan really did come?"
"Hahaha! They say Saiyans are a warrior race of mad dogs who bite anyone they see. Is he planning to challenge us?"
Amid the laughter, one of the aliens switched on his Scouter. "Let's see his battle power... Fifteen thousand?"
"Fifteen thousand? Hahahaha!"
The other aliens immediately burst into laughter.
A battle power of fifteen thousand was pretty good for a Saiyan, but against their numbers, it was nothing.
"Stop wasting time. Capture him already! We still have to find the Namekians!"
Just then, the voice of their leader, Pegan, came through the aliens' communicators.

Lin Chen studied the Scouters on their faces, but made no rash move.
Having seen the story before, he remembered that these Scouters also functioned as communicators, transmitting everything happening nearby to the other side of the universe.

"Who are you? Are you with Frieza?" Lin Chen asked.
"Hehehe. Are you deaf? Didn't you hear us just say it? We're the Pagan Pirates! But before long, we'll be serving King Cold!" one of the aliens replied.
King Cold?
Lin Chen remembered that name.
King Cold was Frieza's father, and he had been famous throughout the universe long before Frieza.
But more importantly, Lin Chen now knew that these men were just a band of scattered rogues, with no ties to Frieza or any other major force.
That meant he had nothing to worry about.
"In that case, you can die right here!"
A glint flashed in Lin Chen's eyes. A Tri-Beam tore across the sky, instantly vaporizing one of the alien warriors.
After killing its target, the Tri-Beam lost none of its energy. It slammed into the spaceship behind them, leaving it tottering in midair.
"Damn it! My ship!"
Pegan roared and flew straight out of the spaceship. He shouted at his subordinates, who were still frozen in shock, "You useless fools, what are you standing around for? Capture him!"
"Damn you!"
The other alien warriors came to their senses and roared as they attacked Lin Chen.
Tri-Beams, energy blasts, and even cannon fire from the spaceship all poured toward him at once.
In an instant, Lin Chen's position was swallowed by a chaotic storm of energy, and he vanished from sight.
"Brother Lynx!"
From afar, Broly, who had been sensing the battle, panicked. His hair began to stand on end as the power within him continued to swell.
But a hand came to rest on his shoulder. "Don't worry, Broly. Haven't you noticed? There's nothing wrong with Lynx's energy. He's probably just testing his strength."
"R-really..." At those words, the wild energy around Broly vanished at once.
Meanwhile, high in the sky,
the aliens finally stopped firing their barrage.

But just then, some of the aliens spotted what looked like a figure inside the smoke!

"Could that Saiyan still be alive?"
When the smoke cleared, they saw Lin Chen floating right where he had been before, completely unharmed despite their certainty that they had killed him.
"H-how is that possible?"
"He's completely fine?"
The aliens' eyes widened as if they were looking at a monster.
Even their leader, Pegan, would have been badly hurt by an attack like that.
But this Saiyan in front of them hadn't just survived. There wasn't even a scratch on him!
How could this be? Wasn't his battle power only fifteen thousand?
