Z Sword

Following the figure of Shin the Supreme Kai as he flew forward, Kast glanced at Laila beside him but remained silent.

Laila sensed Kast's gaze and immediately turned her head, asking in confusion.

"What is it?"

Kast did not answer, merely withdrawing his gaze.

Watching Kast pull his gaze away without a word, Laila spoke up.

"Are you wondering why I returned here?"

"..."

Kast did not refute her, maintaining his silence.

Yet, seeing Kast continue to remain silent, Laila hurriedly explained.

"Don't misunderstand. I only came here originally to make it easier to track your whereabouts once you broke through your limits. But as you might have guessed, just as Shin said, I need you to help us defeat Majin Buu."

"However, for so many years, I never found anyone with the capability until I met you. That's why I told Shin about your existence, but I didn't expect that he would know the method to break through limits, so I had him contact you."

Looking at the flustered Laila, Kast said calmly.

"I didn't misunderstand. You don't need to explain this."

Although Laila explained it that way, Kast knew the real reason was likely still hidden in her heart. However, that was a personal secret, and Kast neither wanted nor cared to know it.

Soon, the Supreme Kai arrived at their destination.

"We're here."

The Supreme Kai stopped in mid-air, and before them stood a high platform.

"Is that the Z Sword?"

Laila, who had arrived with Kast before Shin, looked at the distant platform and asked with slight doubt.

"Yes."

Shin nodded and then landed on the platform.

Following Shin's descent, the others also landed on the platform.

Shin pointed to the sword stuck in the ground in the center.

"This is the Z Sword, the most powerful divine blade in this Supreme Kai World."

As he spoke, Shin walked up to Kast and extended an invitation.

"Mr. Kast, this is the item that will allow you to break through your limits. Come, please pull it out, and you will possess the Z Sword's immense power!"

With that, Shin stepped aside and gestured with his hand in an inviting manner.

Kast looked at the sword in silence.

Kast certainly knew of this Z Sword and was very clear about its capabilities. Aside from being incredibly heavy, its greatest value was likely the fact that it held the Old Kai sealed within it.

Beyond those two traits, the sword didn't actually have the ability to help one break through their limits. Then again, that wasn't entirely true, as the Old Kai trapped inside did indeed possess the power to help others transcend their limits.

Approaching the Z Sword, Kast stared at it, feeling helpless inside.

Although he had guessed it might be this thing, he had still harbored a sliver of hope that it might be something else.

But he hadn't expected it to actually be this...

Beside him, Laila, seeing Kast staring at the sword without moving, couldn't help but urge him anxiously.

"What's wrong, Kast? Pull the Z Sword out and see if it can help you break your limits."

Following Laila's urging, Kibito also spoke up.

"This Z Sword is a blade that none of the previous Supreme Kais have been able to pull out. I am quite curious about its appearance and power."

The Supreme Kai nodded, expressing the same sentiment.

Looking at the expectant expressions on both sides, Kast reached out and grabbed the Z Sword.

Gripping the sword, Kast let out a muffled grunt, and a yellow aura suddenly erupted from his body.

With the explosion of his aura, a violent gale immediately whipped up and blew in all directions.

"Am-amazing!"

Feeling this powerful strength, the Supreme Kai's expression changed, shocked.

Like the Supreme Kai, Kibito was also stunned, because Kast was clearly not transformed into a Super Saiyan, yet the intensity of this aura was stronger than when he had seen him in his Super Saiyan state earlier.

"What is going on? His strength is even greater than before!?"

Compared to the two of them, Laila was much calmer, as she knew Kast's true strength.

Looking at the astonished Kibito, Laila explained.

"Kibito, although the Kast you saw earlier had transformed into a Super Saiyan, he was suppressing his energy at the time, which is why you didn't feel he was as strong as he is now. In reality, the Super Saiyan state is far beyond what you imagine."

Hearing Laila's explanation, Kibito immediately wore an expression of realization.

Kibito had been somewhat doubtful before, as he hadn't felt Kast's true power at the time and had even been suspicious of him. If Kast hadn't glared at him later, showing him just how immense his latent power was, he would have never given Kast a pleasant look.
