The lush green planet had been ravaged by one battle after another between Frieza, Vegeta, and the others! Seawater flooded inland, mountains, rivers, and lakes were transformed, and volcanoes erupted everywhere!
Vegeta and Frieza both flared with energy. Frieza had just recovered his stamina, and his increased power put Vegeta under tremendous pressure. In terms of sheer presence, Vegeta was losing!
Vegeta gave a low shout. "Killing Intent Fist!"
A terrifying killing intent burst from Vegeta's body. Even the people watching from afar trembled all over, though this killing intent wasn't directed at them...
Vegeta felt the power throughout his body rise several levels as his killing intent erupted. So that was how the Killing Intent Fist worked: it combined willpower with physical strength!
As the killing intent spread through his body, every trace of his will melded with his power, each becoming part of the other. The result was an explosive increase in his fighting strength!
He unleashed a technique he had never used before. His power surged from twenty million to a hundred million! And Vegeta showed no sign of discomfort.
It was indeed far superior to Kaio-ken! There weren't any side effects at all!
The system might not show up often, but when it did, it always delivered the goods!
King Kai's Planet
King Kai was filled with awe, too! So the universe held techniques this terrifying!
Goku, Piccolo, and the others were also shocked by Vegeta's strength! They'd thought they were already close to matching him. They hadn't expected a single move to bring out power far beyond their own!
"Well, well, Vegeta, not bad!" Frieza sneered.
With his power up to one billion, he was getting arrogant again! Just wait until he saw Vegeta's Super Saiyan transformation. Would his jaw hit the floor?
"Frieza, let's begin," Vegeta said.
He raised one hand in front of him, bent his knees slightly, and took up a fighting stance, one leg forward and the other back!
Frieza fired a Death Beam at Vegeta.
Vegeta watched impassively.
The beam was almost upon him, yet he didn't dodge!
Instead, he abruptly dropped his fighting stance, spread his arms, and let his guard down, taking the attack head-on!
Whoosh... Thud, thud...
Blood poured from Vegeta's chest! Goku and the others, along with Frieza, stared in shock and confusion!
"Hey, Vegeta, why didn't you dodge? With your strength, that kind of attack shouldn't hurt you even if you took it head-on!" Frieza asked, bewildered.
Vegeta didn't answer.
"Ha ha ha... Ha ha..."
Vegeta had been expressionless, but now he burst into loud laughter! The blood in his body stopped flowing. Through the hole in his chest, they could see all the way through to his back. New nerves and buds of flesh began to grow, and in an instant, he was completely healed!
"Whoa... Do Saiyans have the power to heal themselves? Then how come I don't?" Goku exclaimed in shock.
Piccolo was the only one whose confused expression slowly cleared.
"So that's it... Hmph. That's just like you, Vegeta!"
Piccolo turned to explain to Goku. "That was the third wish he asked me to make."
It turned out that when they had summoned Porunga, the third wish had been for Vegeta to gain Majin Buu's self-healing ability!
Piccolo still didn't know who Majin Buu was, though!
The others couldn't understand Namekian Language. After granting their final wish, Porunga had hurried away without saying what the third wish had been.
Vegeta was both thrilled and excited. Just as I thought. Majin Buu's healing ability is a perfect match for Saiyan blood!
When a Saiyan recovered from the brink of death, their fighting power increased as their potential was unleashed. Majin Buu's ability, on the other hand, let him recover even after being blown to pieces, as long as some of his energy remained!
Wouldn't that make him stronger with every fight, without having to fear death?
Of course, Vegeta knew he couldn't exploit this trick endlessly! A person's potential had limits. Once he had fully developed his current potential, he could die and revive as many times as he liked, but he wouldn't get any stronger!
The only real solution was to build up his reserves, then unlock his potential and increase his fighting power!
Otherwise, if he kept killing himself to exploit Senzu Beans and endlessly abuse this cheat, wouldn't he even surpass Zeno?
The original story was full of nonsense about Saiyans having infinite potential! Potential had to be built up through training, then unlocked through battle or some strange supernatural power!
Saiyan blood simply gave them more potential than ordinary people, stronger bodies, and the ability to unleash their potential by recovering from near-death or from injuries!
Even that ability was enough to make them a warrior race! The more they fought, the braver and stronger they became!
Back to the point.
Frieza couldn't help asking, "Vegeta, as far as I know, Saiyans don't have an ability like that! How can you?"
"Strange, isn't it, Frieza? Did you forget the dragon from earlier? That was my third wish: to gain Majin Buu's self-healing ability!" Vegeta declared arrogantly.
"What?! Majin Buu... How do you know that name? How do you know he has this ability?" Frieza exclaimed in shock!
His father, King Cold, had once told him that, aside from the God of Destruction Beerus and Majin Buu, everyone else in the universe was an ant. Those two were to be avoided at all costs!
Frieza had only heard of Majin Buu. He didn't know what he looked like or what he could do. He had seen ordinary self-healing before, but this was the first time he'd seen someone recover from damage to vital organs—even the heart!
His race had a powerful life force, but no ability to heal themselves.
Then, suddenly, Frieza flew into a rage!! His wish for immortality had been shattered! Fury blazed in his heart!
"Ha ha, Frieza... There's plenty you don't know! Did you really think I didn't know who ordered you to destroy Planet Vegeta?" Vegeta said.
"What?!..." Frieza was horrified.
When Beerus had given him the order, no one had been there except Whis!
"Hmph. One day, I'll defeat him with my own hands and avenge my people! But you'll die before he does. You were the one who carried out the deed!" Vegeta said coldly.
With everything out in the open, the two began to fight. They exchanged blow after blow! Thunder boomed across the sky, and the planet shook! Lightning struck the ground as the world groaned beneath the two fighters' terrifying power!
Vegeta fought in his normal form.
One moment Frieza destroyed his arm; the next, Vegeta's whole body exploded into pieces. But each time, he returned to normal in an instant!
When Majin Buu healed like that, it consumed a huge amount of his stamina. But when a Saiyan recovered from the brink of death, his fighting power soared! It was practically a cheat!
His power kept rising with his Saiyan blood! Thirty million!... Forty-five million!...
At last, it reached sixty million, and stopped increasing!
With the boost from the Killing Intent Fist, Vegeta's fighting power reached three hundred million!...
