Earth.
In an endless desert, the sweltering heat stirred a sense of restlessness in the heart.
After emerging from the Time Machine, Trunks was shocked by the scene before him.
Seeing all eyes converge on him, he observed the crowd. When he spotted Bulma leaning against Vegeta, he guessed from what his mother had told him that this man was his father, Vegeta.
He was even more astonished to see Sun Wukong. Hadn't he been told that Uncle Wukong hadn't made it back in time? Why was he standing right there?
Yet, what puzzled him was that this situation was nothing like what his mother had described. In this era, his father and mother hadn't gotten together yet. Had he traveled to the wrong time? Had he arrived in a parallel world?
Looking at Frieza and the others in the distance, he wondered in confusion, That's right, it's exactly the scene my mother described, even Frieza looks exactly as she said. Why is this happening?
His heart was filled with terror, fearing that he had altered history and would be unable to return to the future.
Regardless, he had to defeat Frieza first.
He instantly flared his energy and charged at Frieza.
"Are you Frieza?" Trunks asked, expressionless.
"Has everyone become so bold as to speak to me like this now? Hehehe," Frieza said, sounding slightly angry.
Trunks, lacking the typical Saiyan tendency to drag things out, immediately flared his energy, transformed into a Super Saiyan, and charged at Frieza.
Frieza and Wukong's group were stunned. Could there still be Super Saiyans left in the world? How was it that anyone who showed up now was so powerful?
However, Trunks had underestimated Frieza's strength. The Frieza of this era was vastly different from the one in his own history.
He drew his sword and swung it forcefully at Frieza. Though startled, Frieza had enough time to react, as the gap in their strength was simply too vast. The current Trunks possessed only a few hundred million in combat power.
Frieza extended his index finger, coated it in energy, and caught the incoming blade with his fingertip.
Trunks retreated in terror. This wasn't what he knew; the Frieza of his world hadn't been this strong.
"Hohohoh, what's wrong? Scared? Even if you're scared, you're going to die. I'm going to exterminate you wild monkeys!" Frieza said, his smile twisting into a horrific expression.
"How can this be? You shouldn't be this strong!" Trunks said in fear.
"Enough, Trunks, get back here! Kakarot, you go first. Piccolo, deal with those small-fry," Vegeta shouted.
"Hmph, have I been reduced to a small-fry soldier now?" Piccolo scoffed.
Of course, he didn't disobey Vegeta. He took flight, not even bothering to remove his turban or cape, and flew toward the group of soldiers.
"Leave it to me, Vegeta," Wukong said excitedly.
"I have to warn you, Kakarot, the Earth can't withstand your combat power. You'd better finish the fight quickly. Otherwise, hmph, I'll step in myself," Vegeta said.
He knew what kind of person Sun Wukong was—reckless in battle, and worse, he never used his full strength, preferring to defeat his opponents by matching their level.
Hearing Vegeta's voice, Trunks stood frozen in shock, his mind racing.
Why does he know my name? Why? What kind of changes have occurred?
"Trunks, what are you doing? Get back here!" Vegeta roared.
At that moment, Frieza seized the opportunity of his distraction to launch an attack. Hearing Vegeta's shout, Trunks regained his focus and dodged clumsily.
Wukong rushed over, transformed into a Super Saiyan, and engaged Frieza in battle.
Their immense power sent dust swirling across the desert. Trunks grew increasingly confused.
Even Uncle Wukong's strength is this immense now. This level of power is enough to defeat the Androids!
His Super Saiyan transformation gradually receded, his hair shifting from golden flames back to its blue-purple hue.
He flew to Vegeta's side and looked at him with confusion, as if he had many questions but didn't know where to begin.
The battle between Wukong and Frieza was the center of everyone's attention.
After long periods of training, Wukong had mastered the Super Saiyan form well.
Although Frieza had grown stronger, his body was not as easy to control as before, and his energy was incredibly chaotic.
Falling behind in the struggle, Frieza glared at Sun Wukong in anger. He hadn't expected him to have the same strength as Vegeta. He didn't yet know that Vegeta was even stronger; in Vegeta's eyes, he was nothing but an ant.
A momentary lapse in focus allowed Wukong to seize the chance. He grabbed Frieza's incoming straight punch with both hands and, using Frieza's own momentum, swung him heavily into the ground. The soft desert floor instantly engulfed Frieza, sand filling his nose and mouth. Ignoring the pain in his body, he shot into the sky, but the moment he broke the surface, he heard his father's voice: "Dodge, Frieza!"
Sun Wukong had long since gathered a Kamehameha, waiting for Frieza to emerge. The moment the ground shook, the Kamehameha blasted toward Frieza's energy signature.
Frieza had no time to dodge. He was completely obliterated by Wukong's energy wave, reduced to dust.
Frieza, my son... damn Saiyans, King Cold thought to himself.
But aloud, he said, "You are quite impressive. Is your name Sun Wukong? Any interest in becoming my adopted son? Join me and conquer the entire universe."
He was stalling for time while secretly gathering power in his other hand.
"You'd better run. I'll spare your life as long as you stop doing evil; I won't kill you," Sun Wukong said, once again showing mercy.
He reverted to his base form, his guard dropping.
Vegeta felt speechless hearing this. This idiot, he's still so naive!
"Die! Go join my son Frieza in the afterlife!" King Cold instantly fired a Death Beam, aiming straight for Wukong's heart.
Wukong was struck and left on the verge of death. His powerful Saiyan body and bloodline were the only things keeping him hanging on for a moment longer.
The crowd shouted in shock, "Goku! Dad! Old Son!"
Piccolo had already finished his battle!
Vegeta shook his head. He used Instant Transmission to appear before Goku and said with a tone of exasperation, "Serves you right. I told you not to be careless. You deserve to die for that!"
Despite his harsh words, he still kicked out at Piccolo and the others as they flew toward him.
"You still have a Senzu Bean, right? Feed it to him quickly. What an idiot!" Vegeta said.
Piccolo pulled out a Senzu Bean and hurriedly fed it to Goku. After swallowing it, Goku's condition was instantly restored. He stood up and said, "Vegeta, sorry, I was careless again! Haha!"
Everyone was speechless. At a time like this, he's still laughing!
At this moment, King Cold condensed an energy sphere that looked like a sun, similar to Frieza's Death Ball.
He soared into the air and declared, "Go to hell, all of you! When the planet explodes, you won't survive, but I can live in the vacuum of space!"
With that, he hurled the energy sphere down toward Vegeta! The crowd was terrified, and Goku and Trunks transformed into Super Saiyans, rushing forward. Just then, "Stay back! I'm still here. Watch closely!" Vegeta said in a cold voice.
Goku and the others stopped instantly. Seeing Goku halt, Trunks stopped as well, asking in confusion, "Mr. Goku, do you trust him that much?"
"Don't worry, his strength is even greater than mine!" Goku explained.
Trunks felt doubtful. My father in this timeline hasn't even mastered the Super Saiyan transformation yet, right? What on earth happened to make Uncle Goku trust him so much?
Vegeta watched the slowly descending energy sphere, not even bothering to dodge; he hadn't even activated his transformation!
In truth, while on the Elf Continent, Vegeta hadn't been entirely lost in women. Gulnara had used the Elven race's supernatural abilities to unlock more of Vegeta's potential, though the boost wasn't massive.
The current King Cold was weaker than Frieza had been in his early stages. In Vegeta's eyes, a full-power energy sphere from him could be shattered with one hand.
The crowd watched the untransformed Vegeta with immense curiosity. Could it be that his current strength is so great he doesn't even need to transform?
As the energy sphere was about to touch the ground, Vegeta finally raised his palm slowly, gathering energy in one hand to catch it. He didn't stop there; he took a step forward, pushed off the ground, and rose into the air. His immense power caused the energy sphere to fly backward, gaining speed with every second.
King Cold retreated repeatedly, unable to withstand Vegeta's strength. The overwhelming pressure prevented him from even attempting a transformation.
He pleaded, "Vegeta, spare me! I'll be your slave!"
Vegeta laughed disdainfully. "Hmph, I have no need for trash like you as a slave. Do you think I'm that idiot Kakarot? That I'd believe a word you say?"
Immediately, he condensed a ki blast in the hand holding the energy sphere and, pushing against it, shouted, "Big Bang Attack!"
The energy sphere was forced back against King Cold. Unable to suppress it, he was pushed further and further away by the blast, flying out of the atmosphere and into space. It wasn't until he felt a scorching heat on his back that he realized he was nearing the sun.
"No! I don't want to die! I regret it..." His desperate voice could not travel through the vacuum of space.
A brilliant display of fireworks erupted, lighting up the Earth as if it were broad daylight. The blinding glare made everyone squint.
King Cold was reduced to nothingness, just like the others.
Trunks was left completely speechless, utterly stunned by the terrifying power of his own father.
Bulma arranged for people to transport the ships left behind by Frieza's forces to her company. Aside from Vegeta, technology was the only thing she was interested in.
"Alright, now tell us, who exactly are you?" Piccolo asked, looking at Trunks.
"I..." Trunks looked at the crowd, unsure of how to explain himself, terrified of altering history further.
Just then, Vegeta spoke up. "Speak. Don't worry, your words won't change this world."
