Inside the Hyperbolic Time Chamber! Their clashing auras and exchanges of punches and kicks had used up nearly all the already-thin oxygen!

Vegeta and Trunks were breathing hard, their clothes soaked with sweat!

Both were in their base forms. Neither had transformed into a Super Saiyan! They had been training for half a year! Trunks had raised his power level from a few million to twenty million. Now, transformed into a Super Saiyan, he reached around one billion, but there was still a gap. The Androids in the future had power levels of roughly 1.5 to 1.6 billion. Android 17 was a little stronger, while Android 18 was weaker.

Vegeta, meanwhile, had a base power level of 150 million, with little improvement. After all, fighting Trunks when he only had a few million in power hadn't brought out much of Vegeta's potential. His attacks were too weak! But Vegeta had been keeping busy lately, training alone on freezing nights to control his muscular form. He had now mastered Super Saiyan 1 Grade 2!

"Host, transforming from your base form into a Super Saiyan is a major hurdle for you, and for all Saiyans. "Hmph. You can train to increase your power, host, but don't forget you have people you care about. And you still can't control the power of rules!"

"System, what's different about the Greater Space-Time Technique?" Vegeta asked in confusion.

"The Space-Time Technique is an early combination of the powers of space and time. It can only teleport through space and perform simple time stops or accelerations, with time manipulation limited to thirty seconds. While Vegeta was talking with the system, Trunks had finished resting and woken up. Seeing his father meditating and training, he suddenly felt lazy. His father trained all day, then meditated at night, while he'd been fast asleep! He immediately ran over to Vegeta and said,

"Father, please continue training me."

"Training requires balance. You can't rush it. Your body has reached its limit for now after half a year. If you keep training at high intensity, you won't improve much. For the next six months, I'll teach you to master your transformation better and maybe even break through again." Vegeta stood up.

Then golden flames flared around him as he transformed into a Super Saiyan! The powerful aura pressed down on Trunks, making him uncomfortable. Suddenly, Vegeta withdrew the oppressive force, and the golden aura vanished.

"What did you notice about my transformation?" Vegeta asked.

Trunks transformed into a Super Saiyan as well.

"Father, your transformation is completely natural, and there's no berserk energy. Mine, on the other hand, is filled with violent, evil energy. It also consumes a lot of stamina. I can't keep it up for long."

"That's right. You've only just learned to transform into a Super Saiyan. You haven't mastered it perfectly.
