Earth.

Amidst the whistling wind, a group of powerful humans stood upon the ground.

"Heh, who is going up next?" Vegeta looked at the people before him.

"Alright, it's my turn now..." Krillin said.

Before he could finish, Yamcha spoke up, "Krillin, wait. Let me go instead. You've already died once; if you die again, the Dragon Balls won't be able to revive you. I'll let them know the game is over." Yamcha said with a grave expression.

"Come on! I'll make you realize the consequences of looking down on us!" Yamcha declared, assuming a fighting stance.

"Hmph, don't get cocky," Vegeta sneered at this rival—who wasn't even much of a rival—standing before him.

"Kill him. If you can't, then you go die," Vegeta said viciously to the Saibaman.

After all, men are petty. Since he had transmigrated into this world, he preferred to follow the original plot as much as possible. If he changed the story and let him survive, who knew if he would steal Bulma away? Thinking of that woman, she should be watching on the television at Kame House right now. Vegeta glanced sideways at the Earthlings on the distant hillside; they were holding cameras pointed at the battlefield.

Kame House.

Chi-Chi watched Gohan on the screen. Seeing such a dangerous scene, she screamed, "Gohan! My Gohan!" and fainted away.

In the wasteland.

"Come on! Iku zo!"

Yamcha shouted as he charged toward the Saibaman. Just as he reached it, the two of them vanished with a whoosh!

"They disappeared?" Gohan looked at the battlefield.

"Fool, that's high-speed movement. Don't use your eyes; use your senses to detect their ki. Everyone except you can see it," Piccolo lectured, looking at the disappointing child before him.

The air rang with swish-swish sounds as two shadows flickered across the space, darting through grass and over jagged rocks. Yamcha and the Saibaman traded blows, fists and kicks flying. Yamcha seized an opening, circled behind, and smashed a fist into the Saibaman. The creature landed on all fours and leaped up with force. Yamcha fired a ki blast at it, "Yaha!" The Saibaman was struck into the ground, creating a shallow crater, where it lay motionless.

Yamcha finished his attack and called out toward the Saiyans, "They aren't so strong, are they? Leave the remaining four to me." He would soon pay the price for his arrogance.

"Im... impossible. Defeated again. How... how is that possible?" Nappa stammered in surprise.

"Hmph, don't be impatient. Watch closely," Vegeta's cold gaze remained fixed on Yamcha.

Suddenly, a figure flew out from behind Yamcha—it was the very same Saibaman that had just fallen. It lunged forward, wrapping its arms and legs around Yamcha's body in a tight grip! Everyone cried out, "Yamcha, look out!" but it was already too late.

Piccolo stammered, "Too... late!"

The Saibaman's entire body began to glow. A piercing explosion rang out, and a shockwave mixed with dust engulfed the area. When it cleared, everyone looked over to see Yamcha lying face down on the ground. His breathing had stopped. The Saibaman had been blown into a pile of debris.

"I can't believe it, it actually chose to self-destruct," Piccolo said.

Krillin ran over, shouting, "Yamcha!"

He looked at his good friend and said in agony, "He must have had a premonition, that's why he wouldn't let me go. Yamcha, how am I supposed to explain this to Bulma?!"

Kame House.

Bulma stood there, stunned, as if she hadn't processed it yet. Master Roshi gently patted Bulma's... ahem... shoulder. Only then did she react, bursting into loud sobs. Master Roshi hurriedly comforted her, "Bulma, don't be sad. As long as we defeat the Saiyans, we can still use the Dragon Balls to revive Yamcha!"

Battlefield.

"Useless Saibaman, actually choosing to self-destruct with that guy. The opponent was just a piece of trash," Nappa said with a pained expression. After all, there were only six Saibaman seeds left; he wanted to save them if he could.

An outsider might have thought he had developed a conscience and was grieving for his comrade.

"Hey! That's unsanitary! Clean up that wreckage!" Vegeta said coldly.

"Damn bastard! Everyone, stay back! Tien, please move Yamcha's body. If it gets damaged any further, we won't be able to revive him!" Krillin said.

Tien flew over and carried Yamcha's body away.

Krillin raised his hands to the sky, channeling his full power, and gritted his teeth. "Let me show you the results of my year of training!" A lightning-like yellow glow condensed between his hands.

The Saibaman rushed toward Krillin. Krillin held his hands flat against his chest, and a powerful yellow energy wave blasted toward the creature.

"Dodge it! Even if the energy is strong, the speed is too slow—it's practically telling them to run away!" Piccolo said while dodging.

The Saibaman flew up. Krillin shouted, "Now!" He controlled the beam with his hands, splitting it into five, which slammed into the remaining Saibamen, Vegeta, and Nappa. Vegeta watched the energy blast heading toward him with a cold, disdainful expression; he couldn't even be bothered to dodge.

The roar of the explosion rumbled, and as the smoke cleared, the three Saibamen had been reduced to slag.

Everyone cheered, "So strong! Krillin is amazing!"

Only Piccolo, looking at a pile of rocks, faintly sensed a weak presence.

Krillin panted, "It's fine. It's a pity one of them didn't get hit." Before he could finish, the last Saibaman leaped toward Son Gohan. Gohan was so terrified he couldn't control his body, but suddenly, an arm reached out and grabbed the Saibaman's limb. The figure was none other than Piccolo.

Piccolo said indifferently, "Die!"

With a forceful swing of his arm, he tossed the Saibaman into the sky. Piccolo turned his head and opened his mouth, firing a beam of light. The Saibaman let out a shrill scream, and when the light faded, the creature was gone. All that remained were ashes drifting from the sky. Truly worthy of King Piccolo. He had finished it in an instant! Compared to the battle with Raditz, his combat power had increased significantly.

"Uncle Piccolo, thank you," Gohan said gratefully.

"Don't misunderstand. I wasn't trying to save you; I was just warming up for the coming battle," Piccolo explained with a haughty air.

But everyone knew that since he had trained Gohan for a year, he surely considered the boy his disciple.

The group was still excited when they heard a cold sneer from behind. "Heh heh heh... I hope the battle you speak of actually happens." Everyone turned toward the sound. Two figures slowly emerged from the dust: Vegeta and Nappa. To their horror, they discovered that the two Saiyans hadn't suffered a single injury—not even a speck of dust on them.

"Now, let's end this boring game! Kakarot should be arriving soon, right?" Vegeta said.

Nappa said excitedly, "It's finally starting. Next, I'll play with you all. I'm going to finish all five of you in one go!"

"Do as you please. But, you cannot kill that Namekian for now. I still need the Dragon Balls; if he dies, the Dragon Balls will turn into stone," Vegeta said. Although the original Vegeta wouldn't have known this, one must not forget that this guy was a transmigrator who had read the original work!

"Understood, Vegeta. I'll be careful!"

Nappa gathered his ki, clenched his fists, and raised his power. A terrifying aura caused the area to tremble; cracks appeared on the ground, and loose stones began to float in the air due to the intense magnetic field. Everyone felt a deep sense of dread. Such a powerful Saiyan—truly terrifying!

But there was no time to worry about that now. Everyone swarmed forward, charging toward Nappa together...
