"What?" Tights looked like she was about to cry.
"Tights, try to prepare yourself. Whether your parents make it through depends on these next three days," Jaco sighed.
"What? That's no help at all." Bulma shook her head, then suddenly grasped the deeper meaning behind Jaco's words. Tears welled in her eyes as she murmured, "What? You just said... Mom and Dad..."
"This friend of yours is right. You need to prepare yourselves," the doctor said with another helpless sigh. "If we really can't find an antidote for this poison... they may have to rely on their immune systems to fight it off. Whether they make it through depends on these next three days."
"But... why is Vegeta fine?" Bulma asked, puzzled.
"What? That little boy drank it too?" the doctor blurted out.
The whole Capsule Corp family was something else.
Did they use poison as a toy or what?
"Get them to the hospital right away..." the doctor urged.
"How much did that little boy drink?" Tights asked.
"He said he drank two jin... You saw how drunk he was..." Bulma said.
"Maybe he wasn't drunk. Maybe he was already dead," Jaco sighed.
"Waaah..."
Bulma immediately burst into loud sobs.
"Waaah... I don't want to be a widow..." Bulma was crying her heart out.
Tights: "..."
"I don't want to lose Mom and Dad either." Bulma kept wiping away her tears and hurried over to Vegeta, checking for his breath.
"Hey, it seems your sister is more upset about being a widow," Jaco whispered.
"Shut up! Aren't you an elite Galactic Patrol officer? Hurry up and think of something!" Tights scolded him.
"If we could contact Galactic Patrol Headquarters and get them to send over a skilled healer, they could treat this poison," Jaco explained. "But don't forget, the Communicator on my spaceship is broken. I can't get in touch with headquarters..."
"This is awful..." Tights sighed helplessly, then suddenly looked at Bulma. "Bulma, can you fix the Communicator?"
"Are you kidding? She's only four years old." Jaco shook his head.
"Don't let my sister's age fool you. She's a genius," Tights said, then called out to Bulma, "Bulma, Jaco's Communicator is broken. If you can fix it, the Galactic Patrol might be able to save Mom and Dad."
"I don't know... I haven't learned how yet... but I can try." Bulma looked up at Tights. "This family would've fallen apart without me... You want me to fix a Communicator, and I'm only four."
Tights didn't know what to say.
"She's saying she's too young now, but earlier she said she was already married," Jaco whispered in Tights's ear.
"There's not a single normal person in our family..." Tights shook her head.
"Oh, right. Vegeta's fine. He's still breathing," Bulma added.
Doctor: "????"
The doctor froze, then hurried over to examine Vegeta.
Sure enough, he was still alive.
"Did he really drink two jin?" the doctor asked.
"That's what he said. I don't know exactly how much he drank," Bulma shook her head.
"Your parents nearly... and they only had a tiny sip," the doctor sighed. "I'm afraid there's no saving your friend... if he really drank two jin."
"Little girl, I can promise that we'll contact headquarters and get your parents treated. But if your friend really drank two jin, I can't promise we'll be able to save him," Jaco added.
You drank two jin of poison.
Even a Galactic Patrol healer couldn't save you.
But... I feel like I've heard this kid's name somewhere before.
Where was it, exactly?
"Am I going to be a widow?" Bulma began working up her tears again.
Boom!
Just then,
a loud crash erupted from Vegeta.
When they looked, they saw white light flickering all over his body.
The light was so dazzling, as bright as a blazing sun.
"What's going on?" Bulma was terrified. She hurried away, then stared at Vegeta from a distance.
"Is he going to explode because he drank too much poison?" Jaco was stunned too.
Tights immediately hid behind Jaco.
The doctor stood there, dumbfounded.
Could drinking too much poison make someone explode?
Was I dreaming today?
Pop!
Vegeta slowly floated into the air and opened his eyes.
Rumble!
Then an even more powerful energy and blinding light burst from Vegeta's body.
Endless energy spread outward in every direction, with Vegeta at its center.
Boom!
Vegeta let the energy dissipate and took a deep breath before slowly descending from the air.
"Phew..."
Vegeta exhaled, and immediately felt refreshed, as if his body had undergone a complete transformation.
Vegeta quickly sensed the strength of the energy within him.
At this point, his battle power was beyond what a Scouter could measure.
After all, the highest reading this model could handle was only a little over 50,000.
This Scouter was more advanced than Cui's.
Vegeta could only estimate his battle power by sensing the strength of the energy inside him.
This time, Vegeta felt that his battle power had probably reached 3 million.
3 million!
Holy crap!
I drank two jin of Ultra Divine Water!
It boosted my battle power from 12,000 all the way to 3 million!
With this battle power... if I can become a Super Saiyan, wouldn't I be able to beat Frieza with ease?
Ultra Divine Water works way too well!
I have to keep drinking it.
Maybe I can get my base battle power up to over 10 million.
Vegeta had slept for more than eight hours in total.
During those eight hours, his body had completely absorbed the Ultra Divine Water.
And the parts that had rotted because of the Ultra Divine Water had all healed through his natural regeneration.
The Saiyan near-death experience, combined with the Ultra Divine Water's latent potential boost, had made Vegeta's battle power double again and again in a very short time.
That was how Vegeta's battle power had reached 3 million.
Vegeta was overjoyed.
Looks like wishing for an Immortal Body from Shenron was the right choice.
Even if this Immortal Body isn't quite complete yet.
It doesn't matter.
I'll have the Dragon on Namek upgrade it when I get the chance.
Or, once I meet Super Shenron, I'll ask him to grant me a true Immortal Body.
The most important thing now is to keep increasing my battle power.
